A delicious little food truck that I stopped by while I was at Blizzcon 2015. It's more than just flavored shaved ice, all the products are full of flavor and come in so many different varieties there's surely something they have to offer that will hit the spot. The big daddy is a must try if you're unsure of what you want or are a first timer. Made of tasty cherry, orange and pineapple flavors all in Italian ice style. Prices are very good too for what they have to offer compared to most other shaved ice places. $5-6 for two scoops of ice was more than filling.

The cart was a welcome sight after walking around Spectrum on a hot sunny day. We were offered a few samplings of our choice and ended up trying everything! Lol! The guy was super cool and didn't mind at all. My favorite was the Manic Mango and Da Bomb (cherry, lemon, blue razz swirl). Both were tarty and refreshing. The ice has a nice consistency and flavors are potent. A small is $3 but it was more than enough for me. Credit cards are accepted so that's neat. Just glad to find a place at the Spectrum to get a nice cold treat other than cold stone creamery.

I found this truck at the Flavorful Fridays Meetup off of Barranca and Armstrong. I was looking for some kind of dessert since the kiddies and I already had lunch elsewhere, and expected to see a cupcake truck. What a pleasant surprise to see Italian Ice! There were a lot of yummy sounding flavors, but I decided on the 50-50 (orange/vanilla) for me and Da Bomb (cherry/blue razz/lemon) for the kiddies. It was only $3 for single ($5 for double) - a pretty good deal IMO for the amount that you get. I've never had Italian Ice before, but I guess it's like a sorbet. It was sweet, yet refreshing at the same time. The kiddies, of course, fell in love with it and now want to track them down whenever we are out and about. So Mustache Mike, I'm sorry but I will be stalking you from now on.

It's A-OK ! Lol - It's nothing out of the ordinary. Italian ice cream? Just try it. Honestly like any where else. + It was a hot day and I was craving for something cold + It was conveniently located next to the farmer's market. - When I came up, the worker was friendly, but she was kinda zoned out. Answered my questions so slowly and stared so blankly at me .. Are you high GIRL!? haha If you see it, check it out. But I meann. you don't have too, like i said. nothing special.

With over 120 flavors, Mustache Mike's is a large competitor in the Italian Ice business. Not only do they have food trucks, but they also have carts, stands, and their Italian ice is also sold in some pizzerias. During my visit, I couldn't decided what flavor to choose from so I chose their most popular flavor, Big Daddy. Big Daddy is made up of cherry, orange, and pineapple swirl. It was SO good! It was so flavorful and you definitely could taste each flavor in the yellow and red swirls. Into my first bite, I was wondering why I had never tried Italian ice before. A major plus of Mustache Mike's is that all of their products are Non Dairy, Fat Free, Gluten Free and Cholesterol Free. There isn't a reason why you shouldn't try it! I would most definitely recommend that you go look up Mustache Mike's, and see if their products are sold anywhere near you. Was in the area this evening after a kids event and grabbed some Cauldron. Still fantastic! Made fresh, super creamy and delicious! My wife got the Puffle with Milk & Cereal flavor, enjoyed it a ton. We ordered three things; mint chocolate chip, rose, and milk and cereal. All with a bubble waffle cone. The service was disappointing, the guy who worked there seemed like he didn't care and it was just another job. No life to him and was just rude about asking the code for the bathroom. The mint and chip is basic. Nothing too much about it. My kids like it, so I got it. Average 3/5. The rose ice cream tasted like a rose, it was pretty good and very floral. The disappointing part is I was hoping the ice cream would be shaped like a rose as depicted on the picture. Nope, just a scoop and left it as is. 5/5 for taste and 0/5 for presentation. The milk and cereal one was actually pretty good. Especially with Frosted Flakes in it. It literally taste like cereal. 5/5. I would give it a higher star if the service complimented it and th presentation of the rose ice cream did.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!…read more I haven't been to Honeymee for sooo long but I used to go and love it in LA koreatown and Sawtelle. My friend and I noticed things have changed much with Melo Melo, so we walked acrossed the street and were deciding between HeyTea and Honeymee, but we were SO GLAD we went with Honeymee to sit inside at the cute table. The lady(owner?) was so sweet and of course, my OG Honeymee was sooo GOOD. My friend's yuju drink was so refreshing and yummy, too. Honeymee will be one of my very few best dessert spots and I won't forget to come back often.

They also have some items on the menu that other Honeymee's don't have. The employees here are also usually friendlier than some of the other locations. However, if you don't want to talk to anyone while ordering, a kiosk is available. Personally, my favorite item is the Sweetie, which has true milk ice cream drizzled with honey. The Honeymee -- true milk ice cream with honeycomb -- is also pretty good if you're into honeycombs. My bf's favorite is the Dear Caramel, which has a caramel drizzle topped with what is reminiscent of dalgona coffee bits. The milkshakes here are also a solid choice. While I'm still sad that my favorite and closest Honeymee location in Garden Grove closed a couple of years ago, the Irvine location is pretty reliable in terms of consistency and service.

The store front is easy to find as they have a large visible sign showing "CHURROS" near the street. The items can get pricey, as I recently picked up just an ice cream with churros and bag of churros which ended up at $20. There's a $1 charge on credit cards which also seems a bit like charging the customer on any business transaction. The location is a decent size so it could definitely fit groups and such. Unfortunately my visit did not really go well, as after ordering and receiving a buzzer to let us know when the order is complete, we waited for over 10 minutes to have other customers place orders after us and receive their orders before our buzzer went off. Eventually, one of the associates noticed we had been waiting for a while and came to us to ask if we had placed an order already. For some reason, the buzzer was not programmed to our order, and I ended up asking the cashier for my receipt to confirm that my order was placed. This was frustrating as we had originally entered the store as the only guests and 3 other parties had entered the store after us and received their orders before us. Fortunately, the associates closest to us near the pick up order section noticed that we had been waiting for an extended period of time and came out to ask what we had ordered to help us make our missing order. I have no idea how our order was missed but it was not a great experience to wait in a store with no AC (only the front doors propped open for ventilation) and there was no real apology for the mishap. However, we're very appreciative of some of the staff members noticing that we had been patiently waiting for our order.
