Pretty good coffee and decent prices. I have never been to a Swedish coffeehouse. I believe my coffee here was the first time I tried Swedish coffee. I liked it. It was strong yet smooth. I would definitely go back for a cup. The space is small and only has window counter seats, but they are nice additions to center city. I like the map on the wall. I just wish the spots were bigger. They are essentially grab and go spots, unless you get a cool window seat on a nice day. :) read more

I went here for the first time today as I've been attracted to their coffee sign for weeks. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I love illuminated signs. As a first-timer, I decided that a cafe au lait would be the perfect introductory beverage. It was smooth and light which is my favorite combination. It actually reminded me of great coffee I had at Alfred's in Los Angeles. I appreciated the barista - she went out of her way to answer all of my questions and describe the various Swedish desserts behind the glass. Though I didn't try any of the sweets, I look forward to returning for this one ball of cocoa, oats and coconut that seemed pretty necessary to my life. read more

The almond croissant was stale on the ends- maybe Costco's croissants spoiled me. The nice girl at the counter asked if I'd like anything else after I told her. This coffee shop was across the street from my hotel and had a nice aesthetic so I was excited to check it out. When I got there on a Sunday morning I was surprised/impressed that there were several people in line. With only one barista it took around 15 minutes for me to get my goodies. I'm mostly sticking to decaf which can be pretty hit or miss, but this was one of the best iced decaf americanos I've ever had. My boyfriend's iced coffee was great, too. The one true miss was the kanelbullar (Swedish cinnamon roll). I'm not someone who throws away food really ever, but this was dry and stale-tasting. I was really excited to try it, so it was a let down. My boyfriend and I together ate maybe half of it before deciding it wasn't worth the calories. Love that they have their own beans and that they're really solid. Would love to go back, get another of those great decaf americanos, and try a different food item. read more

Tasty coffee and super service - that's what comes to mind when I think of Konditori. We don't get back over this way as much anymore, but after this most recent visit, we realize we need to get back over here more often. The shop may be small, but their beverages are great (I personally love the hot chocolate on a cold day) and like I said, the service is top notch. They have pastries as well, so make it a pit stop when you are doing your holiday shopping. It's well worth the visit! read more

Lovely quaint + cozy little coffee shop! And great coffee + assortment of pastries as well (gluten-free options, cookies, bread). Atmosphere: very clean, though there's only seating for 8. I went with a friend ~3pm in the afternoon, and it was pretty quiet. I wouldn't bank on getting seating during busier hours though. Side note: Would recommend this shop for catching up with friends, but it wouldn't be my first pick for a date spot (unless you grab coffee and then leave), just because their seating doesn't allow you to sit across from each other, only side-by-side next to each other. Other side note: They offer reward cards for regulars! Recommended must-try: My go-to is a cappuccino (and their cappuccino was very well-balanced, with a rich taste), but I'm going back to try their matcha lattes! This place is adorable but the prices are obscene. For the price of my latte it had better be exceptional. It was good - but in no way mind blowing. For a similar price (high) I can get a La Colombe. Better yet I can get a small Au Lait here and it tastes better to me. On par with Char-bucks, but slower service. Very friendly male barista. Pastries looked wonderful but again - too pricey and I can't eat carbs. The almond croissant and almond biscotti (I sense a theme here) look so great. Craft coffee niche. I stopped in on my way to yoga to try it out after passing it's packed 8 seater counter. Small bright space with simplistic painted menu and a few seats. I was greeted immediately and although I had to wait, the barista struck up a convo whilst artfully crafting 5 different drink orders. Just remembering which extra hot what went with which no foam soy latte would have my head spinning. We chatted, he sang along to the music and I forgot that I had to wait for a drip coffee. Turns out it was a pour over that had been transferred to a warming carafe. The experience alone was great, not to mention the hot toasty, flavorful coffee. My friend and I were walking through Philly and I found this place on Yelp! The reviews sounded good and it was only a few steps away (we're lazy) so we decided to try it. I already knew the price was going to be crazy because we're in the center of the city, but I love cafe shops. I ordered a matcha latte, and typically I ask for a milk alternative (oat milk, baby!) but this place charges an extra $1.50 (less for almond... like .60 cents). Who do they think they are... guac at Chipotle? Anyway... I ended just getting milk, and the drink was good. Small place but nice window seat view for people watching. They offer stamp cards so you'll get a free cup on your 9th visit... I guess that's when I'll get the oat milk alternative. read more

New coffee shops are always welcome around my office building. When I first heard of this place opening recently, I was very excited. Today, I finally had a chance to stop by. The service was friendly. Though there is some seating available, the place is a bit small, so it's better for just picking up some coffee and heading out. I ordered a small cup of their regular coffee - my typical safe choice when trying out a new coffee shop. To my surprise, it tasted very watered-down and acidic, almost like pressed juice from a not-so-ripe watermelon, with a faint taste of coffee. Weird. I'll admit I'm not an expert on Swedish style foods/beverages outside of my exposure to IKEA food, but I'd have trouble believing that Swedish people like sour, watered-down coffee. I had already suspected something was off when the barista handed me the cup and I could see more of the interior of the cup than usual. There is an exposed counter featuring breakfast pastries for sale - mostly croissants, but also muffins, Belgian style waffles, and a few Swedish pastries. I was curious about the Swedish pastries, but ended up going with a Belgian waffle, which ended up being a bit dry and stale, even after they heated it by placing it on top of a toaster. After paying a total of $7, I did not walk away thinking that my money was well-spent. I'd probably skip this place unless other coffee shops on the block are closed. read more

Stopped here with my girlfriend a couple of weeks ago on a cold snowy day for hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was very average and tasted somewhat watered down. It was not rich or chocolatey. The prices are very similar to Starbucks, possibly more expensive because I got a very small cup, so it is not a cheap option by any means. The storefront was nice to sit in and drink the hot chocolate and there was free wifi which was nice.....but what coffee shop does not have any seating or wifi nowadays? I can't judge their coffee as I haven't tried it, maybe they are better known for their coffee. However, I will probably look elsewhere next time I am looking for a coffee shop. read more

Konditori literally went up overnight. One Friday as I walked home from work, I noticed that something was going on - and the next Monday they were open for business! As such, it's definitely still going through some growing pains, but already, I'm a fan. First off - the coffee. I usually get an iced latte, and I noticed that Konditori's coffee blend is fairly smooth and definitely less acidic than other options in the area. I also felt that my coffee breath afterwards was significantly less noticeable than usual. However, I felt that it delivered the same amount of caffeine kick. Konditori also has a maple latte, which is a nice sweet drink to enjoy on a cooler day (but it is very, very sweet). Most other coffee shops in Center City source their baked goods from the same place, so it was refreshing to have some different options. The spicy cheese bureka is awesome, especially right after it's been toasted in their little toaster oven. The morning bun is good, if a little dry. The pastries ring in at ~$4, standard pricing for neighborhood. Service is really friendly but a bit slow at the moment...it does speed up a little more every time I go though. There is extremely limited seating (the place is really tiny), so it's more of a grab-and-go kind of coffee shop. (It's so small, I'm not even sure if they have a bathroom for customers.) I do hope they add some kind of rewards card - it's temptingly close to where I work and I've already been there way too many times! Update: went back today 5/10/17 and they now have a reward card! read more

This is a cute little coffee shop with a lot of drink options. I got an iced latte which I really enjoyed and my boyfriend had an iced tea. It was cool that they brew the iced tea right on the spot. Barista was friendly, customer service was good. I tried an almond biscotti and was not impressed though. It was almost soft, maybe stale, and had a very odd taste that I couldn't place.
