I couldn't love this place more. I've been coming here since I was a little kid, and every bite reminds me of my childhood. Their burgers are delicious. Shakes are wildly good. Service is always friendly and efficient. Yeah, you have to wait a bit sometimes, but the place is always packed for a reason. The whole Kopps vibe inside is like taking a step back in time to me.

We try to make a trip here at least once a year as a traditional family trip for the burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches and their custard desserts. The food is always prepared well and tastes delicious. Usually the service is pretty quick, even when it seems to be very busy. Occasionally the wait may be a little longer than usual. This particular location has a good amount of seating outdoors and limited table seating indoors.

Love the frozen custard at Kopp's Frozen Custard! The char-broiled smell outside the restaurant was delicious, so we each ordered burgers since it was lunch time. I love that all the staff wear old-fashioned white uniforms...so 50s! Our burgers were massive, but I was missing a distinct char-broiled taste, like the smell outside the restaurant. My cookies and cream custard was to-die-for excellent!! In my opinion, it far exceeds any ice cream or frozen custard any where!

Kopp's has been one of my go-to frozen custard spots in Milwaukee for years. They stand out for their rotating "flavors of the day" -- two new ones daily, from fruit options like raspberry to rich choices like turtle sundae or chocolate chip. You can even check their website's flavor calendar to plan your visit. I've also enjoyed their food, especially the double burger and onion rings. Service is always friendly, parking is easy, and prices are fair -- about $6 for three scoops (compared to $7.25 at Gilles and $4.15 at Oscar's Frozen Custard). There are three locations, but Brookfield is my favorite since it has the largest indoor seating -- perfect for winter. Overall, great custard with variety, creamy texture, and a classic Milwaukee feel.

Wow, what an amazing burger. As my husband put it, it's everything a quarter pounder should be. Simple yet delicious. Two other standouts were the onion rings and root beer float. Must haves in my opinion. We also had the frozen custard flavor of the day which was orange dreamsicle and another. Both very tasty.

Iconic Milwaukee custard spot! It was the perfect breakfast of champions before some Christmas shopping. The grilled cheese is so nostalgic tasting, simple yet amazing. Fries and onion rings are good, and the burgers are great! Everyone is always super friendly and fast here as well.

What can I say? It's macadamia nut--my absolute favorite flavor and I'm completely obsessed with it. I haven't seen it around for a while, so when I found out Kopps had it, I didn't hesitate to make the hour-and-15-minute drive from Madison just to get some. Totally worth it. Fast service as usual! Numerous table to sit both indoors and outdoors. The creamy caramel custard combined with the crunch of macadamia nuts is perfection. Hands down, my favorite flavor of all time. You MUST try unless you are allergic to nuts!

I love this Kopp's location! I like the amount of seating- including that they offer multiple tables and benches outside, I prefer this bathroom over the one in Glendale because it's less sketchy, and it just seemed really organized inside with the line. Also better parking than the one in Glendale. I had the Swiss chocolate and it was delicious as always! My husband loves to order a sundae. Only minor complaint is they don't offer rainbow sprinkles! My fav.

First time at a Kopps, I really like the burger. It's kinda like a larger mcdonalds burger and tastes a little better too. I really like the selection of ice cream was large + savory food was fun. I went back before my last day in Wisconsin and I would go again if I am ever back in WI. This location was pretty crowded but service is fast. There's tables inside and outside for eating.

It looks chaotic but it's definitely a well organized system. Service was fast. 1st time here, burger smells and looks amazing, fries so hot no ketchup required and banana shake SUPER FRESH. Whoever eating this entire burger...and fries. BIGGG BACK, respectfully. Definitely impressed and rating shows it

I ended up getting the Gelato Cake Batter and Southern Caramel Pecan. The others in our group came up with their own amazing combinations. The counter with all the toppings was well stocked and organized, making it easy to put together whatever combination you wanted. I grabbed a bunch of different toppings, with most of my choices somehow involving chocolate. All three of our cups ended up filled with an assortment of yummy ingredients. Service: There was one employee there who seemed to be taking care of customers while also keeping the serving and dining areas clean. I would say they were efficient, but not especially chatty or friendly. Atmosphere: The place is well designed. It's easy to figure out the process for making your own dessert, and there are lots of different areas for sitting. Big windows let in plenty of natural light and make the space feel open and inviting. One thing that really stood out was the number of signs mentioning that the premises are being monitored by cameras. Even in the bathroom, there was a sign saying that if teenagers are suspected of vandalism, the cameras may be used to identify them. It made me wonder if this location has been dealing with issues involving younger customers. There wasn't any trouble while we were there, but all of the signs definitely made an impression. Overall, this is a good place to go for a delicious frozen yogurt treat. I would definitely come back and try another dishful.

You can go in, get some fro yo and sit and do some trivia! Or even take to go. They change their flavors around. My absolute favorite is the cookies n cream mixed with cake batter. I love how the machines have pre mixed flavor or you can mix whatever flavors of your choice. They also frequently have a dole pineapple flavor very similar (better in my opinion) to the famous dole whip sold at Disney. It's self serve and there's a number of toppings from cereal, gummies, cookie doughs, and sauces like peanut butter, marshmallow, caramel and hot fudge. Pricing is based on the weight, at the register you weigh your fro yo(s) and pay based on the weight. Not sure what the prices is per ounce but I paid $4.98 for a medium sized cup (the green cup shown in the picture). I also love how portions of their proceeds (or all I'm not sure) on Tuesdays are donated to selected local schools. Give it a visit if you're in the area, you surely won't regret it.

Considering beef prices are not coming down anytime soon, if ever, I think Murf's need to address the situation better than just slapping a small, dry, overcooked burger on a huge bun. For example, drop the tiny Single and Double patty menu items (you're only going to disappoint diners) and go with a Jumbo and Junior burger instead. Get a smaller bun for the Junior and don't overcook the meat. Then double the patty size for the Jumbo (one big patty is less likely to get overcooked and more satisfying to bit into - think Oscar's). They also need to deliver quality and value where they can afford to do it. There is no reason that the fries are undercooked and under-seasoned. The condiments are mediocre, and the custard thin. We still cleaned out plates, but the table was unanimous that we will go elsewhere next time because so many other burger joints deliver higher quality and value overall.

I had to throw the burger away. It was $6 for a single cheeseburger. It was thicker than a McDonalds patty but not like Culver's or Oscars or Kopps. It was about 6" round. It was like the patty was microwaved & thrown on a bun. Definitely not made on a grill. Didn't toast the buns in butter. It was terrible. The fries are the skinny fries & just aren't very appealing. They were $3.25 I think & it's a small size of fries. They tasted like fries but McDonalds etc has better fries. I won't ever order food from here again. But I will go back for the soft serve - that is delicious. A small twinkle coat cone is $3.25 so a little costly but it's excellent. The order process is odd. You order at the small window (there is only one window to order from), no one takes your name or collects money after you order. You stand around & wait for your order. When it's ready they push it out the window but don't call a name & hope you are watching for it so you walk up to the small window & pay. Which makes it awkward because now you are holding a cone or sundae while trying to pay. Not too efficient. There are about 5 seats at a counter inside that you can sit at if you so choose. Not sure if the counter is covered by the same cashier managing the window but I think only 2 people are ever working. Go for the soft serve. Don't buy any food. Enjoy!
