What a staggering disappointment to see Koppy Motors getting involved with a ridiculous bait-and-switch "promotion" put on by Automotive Experts, a direct mail clearinghouse that puts forth misleading enormous color glossy mailers with silly "pull-tab" games that all have the same result - you "win!" Automotive Experts lures dealerships with promises of "the highest gross" they've ever had. Naturally it's all a scam to get people to come to the dealership to waste their time and *hopefully* be suckered into purchasing a vehicle. At least they sweeten the pot with a $25 gift card if you lurk around long enough, but I am a busy woman... I can think of easier ways to earn $25. What's really sad is that I actually have purchased a vehicle from Koppy. It was several years ago, and nothing glamorous, but it was a good little hatchback runabout that is still on the road and being driven by a friend of mine to this day. I had nothing horrible to say about Koppy with that purchase experience (the usual attempts at high-pressure sales tactics, which were fairly poorly executed, and I got a decent price on the car) but seeing them wrapped up in one of these gimmicks tells me that things are not going well for them. If they are willing to cut corners with a "promotion" like this, I imagine they are willing to cut other corners as well. No thank you, Koppy Motors. And there on the desk are a bunch of other discarded winners. What kind of a businessperson feels good about treating people this way? How do you come to the conclusion that this is a good idea? It's pathetic. This certainly doesn't instill any confidence in me that I would treated honestly and ethically if I were buy a car at Koppy Motors. Good businesses take care of their communities. We have known Keith Koppy, the owner, for years. My parents started taking their vehicles to Koppy Motors for repairs over 10 years ago, and now my husband and I do the same. Keith and everyone we've worked with there have been extremely kind, honest and helpful . Our recent experience buying a vehicle for my husband, was was nothing short of that. Our salesman, Matt, in no way made us feel pressured to buy and was very friendly. Since the used vehicle we wanted had a crack in the windshield, he agreed to have it replaced for us and took $100 off the purchase price. Purchased a used truck here this past week. We let the manager, Matt, know what we were looking for, thinking it might be weeks or even months for something to come in since we were pretty specific. He found us a few options right away, with one being a perfect match for our needs. We were able to set up a time convenient for us to test drive it and look it over right away. Buying was very easy since we paid cash, but they have folks there to help with any financing. The staff has been available for a few follow questions we had about incidentals (license plates, tabs, etc.) over the following days - very helpful. Excellent experience buying a truck here. Found an older Ford with low miles. Paid less then blue book for it. The staff there was excellent, ended up working or speaking to 2 Matt's 1 Andy and Chelsea (hopefully spelled that correctly) All of whom were very friendly and patient. Truck drives like new everything was tight and drove like new. In the past I have always bought new vehicles but never again and after this experience I couldn't see going anywhere else. They are a bunch of scam artists. They send out Monte Carlo pull tabs and make you think that you won 5000, when really it's nothing but a scam to get you into their dealership. Honestly if they have to spend all this money for false advertisement just to get people in, they really aren't a good business at all! They've done nothing but piss people off and gotten negative reviews since they have sent these pull tabs out. Got there late in the day and they pulled the truck into the heated, well-lit garage so we could take a really good look at it. They even pointed out a few nicks and dings to make sure we saw them.
