It's Mother's Day and they should have anticipated it's gonna be busy. The order goes in order...per order item. Came here a couple nights ago for the first time and I'm so upset that I've waited so long to try this place. We got the soy garlic fried chicken and the tteoboki and both were incredible. Came on a Sunday afternoon to try this place for the first time. Glad to have found a great hole in the wall spot! They open at 1PM on Sundays. Parking lot is quite large. Authentic Korean food with friendly service. Food is fresh and flavorful. The banchan dishes are some of the better I've had! They come by and constantly refill them. We were served tea and water. They recommend getting the whole fried chicken and we loved it - so crispy and good! My favorites were soups - we tried the galbitang and soondubu which were rich in flavor. My family has been coming here for years. The seafood pancake and sundubu (soft tofu soup) are my favorites. They always have a variety of banchan and I love their hot tea (I think it has corn/barley). We've been here for their BBQ plenty of times as well. Truly a gem among Korean restaurants and I'm blessed to live close by. Every time I try another Korean restaurant, even if it's good, my first thought is "but it's not as good as Korea House." They offer both regular dining tables and cooking tables. There's three menus--barbecue, conventional dining with all the little sides, and the fried chicken menu. I love the warm and inviting lighting. Their spicy barbecue chicken is 1. ACTUALLY spicy and 2. to die for, but the crispy fried chicken (pictured here) is my favorite ever. Literally nothing can top it for me. The breading doesn't get soggy and start peeling off after a few hours like most everywhere else, theirs is the only fried chicken I will eat as leftovers! This fried chicken is so flavorful with a lovely hint of heat, more like a pleasant warmth to the tongue than the dazzling sting of something that would be labeled as actually hot. Other fried chicken underwhelms me now, when I say nothing can compare I don't say it lightly. The service is great, they come to check on us repeatedly to make sure we're alright and I don't ever have to wait super long for my food. It took longer than an hour and 20 minutes more than the time promised - I am talking mostly about the service as they seemed to prioritize sit-in customers over to-go. I didn't get my food until over an hour after I ordered. I expect it to take some time, but my order was very simple and the lack of concern over me as a customer makes me skeptical about ever returning. I've been to this place a couple of times in the past and always wrote this place off as nothing special. Somehow during this pandemic, they transformed this all around and suddenly everything is packaged well and tastes super delicious. What happened? Details matter, and Korea House nailed it! The Galbi is flavorful and not overly salty. The Spicy Pork has the perfect amount of char and seasoning. The food definitely hits the spot and the diversity of banchan, from kimchi to sweet potato, it's all very welcoming and portioned out exactly the way I like it -- and the result tastes amazing! I'll definitely be doing a lot more takeout orders from Korea House. We ordered the combo that came with spicy pork, pork belly, beef and chicken. I can't really comment on the chicken because I was never a fan of chicken at a Korean restaurants. The beef was super dry, nothing special with the spicy pork, and the pork belly had no taste. Overall, the foods were not that tasty. The side dishes tasted better than the entrees. Absolutely terrible service! I think it is the owner. We ordered 4 main dish one side dish. 6 people. One set of side dish: include two pieces of potato. Ok that's no problem Korean restaurant always let you refill. Then we asked for more three times, the waiter said ok but never came. When the side dish finally came this lady tied up her hair curly said this is your last refill. I was like what last refill? She only refilled it twice- also I never heard Korean restaurant don't refill side dishes. First time at Korea House with a party of 5 and we were greeted and seated instantly. All of the staff were helpful and very accommodating, even though I brought a camera to live stream (twitch.tv/amkidd) there. Michelle was our waitress and not only was she funny, she was very attentive with our needs for a semi-big party. The food was delicious and well marinated to bring out the flavor. They bring you a lot of sides and it's even refillable to my surprise. Would definitely recommend if you have a small or large party. The staff is awesome and the food was amazing. Dropped by over the weekend. Haven been here since way before the pandemic. This place looks a bit dinghy now on the inside. It maybe because they didn't have the lights on but the front door was open. So the inside was dark. It didn't look like the place was open for indoor dining but that was okay as I just wanted to pick up some takeout. The waitresses seem rude and in a rush. But there was no one there. There was takeout sitting on the table, but it was my order. I asked for a takeout menu, but she responded by saying they didn't have any and to look online. Not what I was expecting to hear. The food was okay, but the price was no where near okay. We ordered 4 items and it cost over 100 bucks. Mind you that at a all you can eat Korean buffet it wouldn't cost so much for 2 people. definitely one of the best Korean places I've been in the Bay Area. I came with two Korean friends (actual Koreans, not ABK lol) because they love it. I can see why. I know this is a cliche, but I think I was the only white person in the restaurant the kimchi pancakes were bomb. absolutely the best I've had. banchan was amazing and they kept refilling what we finished. I had the soft tofu soup with beef and I love spicy food but the waitress insisted I couldn't take the most spicy so I didn't argue with her and I'm glad I didn't. the regular spicy was super hot and she could see me sweating haha. the large was huge and I ended up taking some of it home for dinner the have BBQ tables too, but I would rather order off the regular menu here pro tip: the parking lot is huge and if you're a first timer using GPS, wait until you get to the restaurant. I grabbed a parking spot a few blocks away because I didn't know what the setup was, but there's no need to park on the street food was so good we all forgot to take pictures! The sign has changed but the Korean BBQ inside is still excellent. Very pleasant, attentive service, tasty food and plenty of side dishes to experiment with. If you have time and opportunity, go for the proper Korean BBQ experience with grilling your own meat on the table. You wont regret it. Me and a friend come here quite often for lunch because we can appreciate both excellent service, large portion sizes and fantastic quality of the meat. Beef, spicy pork or spicy chicken all good choices to try. They also have seafood options available, prawns, squid etc, but well marinated meat is the number one choice for the BBQ. Tofu soup and Bi Bim Bop can be good too if BBQ combo alone is not enough for your group. Sadly the prices have been going up like everywhere else, but overall well worth it. read more

OKAY WOW!!! I have lived in hayward about 10 years, and this place always looked so sketch to me but we finally decided to give it a try... WHOOOOO SOOO GOOD! they have Korean BBQ and Korean fried chicken (kfc). The only down side the Korean BBQ is NOT all you can eat (AYCE) but they do offer "combo" options so more bang for the buck. Along with the combo plate for kbbq we ordered japchae, kfc and an extra plate of brisket. Honestly I am shocked this place was soooo good! The staff was also so nice and to the kids as well. My partner is Chinese and the way Asian cultures show love is with food... so the fact they brought out the food to the kids and their own water cups was love.. also when we were leaving they kept tapping their arms.
