Didn't feel like battling after work traffic on a weekday so my friend and I settled on this place for AYCE Korean bbq. It was a very disappointing experience. There are 3 different menus. B is the least expensive, A is the middle, and S is the most expensive. We picked A since we wanted short ribs. It took about 25 minutes from sitting down to when the waitress brought out our first round of orders. The presentation was beautiful and it was the only impressive thing. The restaurant uses small gas cans for the grills and unfortunately the one at our table didn't work so we had to move. The proteins were good, but nothing outstanding. We were halfway through grilling our food when another waitress noticed we didn't have any drinks at the table. Our waitress never took our drink order. After finishing the second round of meats, we asked our waitress to check on our soup and it looked like she totally forgot to put in our order. The tofu soup was overly seasoned and salty. The restaurant did not appear to have a good ventilation system as the air got smoky rather quickly. My friend and I both became highly aware and self-conscious that we smell like smoky bbq. Even after a long shower, I can still smell the smoke through my nostrils. This place was AMAZING! They provide 3 options for all you can eat Korean bbq. The options were S, A, and B and all had varying options with varying prices. S tier had the most options and primarily added seafood options while B tier had the least options and is recommended for those who just want to try Korean BBQ. The area was spacious and it felt safe. Also the customer service was amazing, the waitress provided several tips and insights when ordering which helped a beginner griller like me. The food was amazing, I really focused on eating more side dishes to balance out all the meat I would eat. Probably one of my favorite KBBQ places in the books. For the price and all you can eat, you really can't beat that. The service is always on point, and I enjoy how patient the servers are. With the frequent ringing of the bell just to order endless plates of meats, I'm sure it gets annoying. But they are so accommodating and even help make recommendations when choices gets difficult. Theres so many different selections and menus to choose from, it sometimes can get overwhelming. But I believe the rule is, 3 meat plates at a time when ordering. I think we got S. I don't remember. It was all just aight. You only get 4 banchan and a salad, plus corn cheese and a small serving of tteokbokki. The banchan, corn cheese and tteokbokki were all just okay. We tried quite a bit, but I didn't really have a favorite. Tried pork trotters for the first time and liked them. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Honestly if I could less then one star I would. We got there with a reservation and waited about 30 min before we decided to run back to the kitchen area and ask for someone to come up to the front. Just know that if you have kids they basically pay the same thing as adults. When they came we asked for another set of menus, told we weren't allowed to have them, only one per table. She came and didn't even take our drink orders she literally didn't even explain anything to us and immediately busted in extremely rude and frustrated for no reason. The whole entire night we saw a waitress about once or twice and that's because we had to flag them down. So the service there was absolutely terrible, I would give it a 0 star if I could. The food was absolutely disgusting. The portions are extremely tiny, and the food seems like it had been sitting out for hours. No matter how many people you have you can only have four meat choices at a time. So with our large group she literally only let one person order and before we could even get our drink menu in she left us in the middle of a sentence for no reason. But if you're comparing to other KBBQ and JBBQ Korea House just falls short. Also the meats even at the higher tier menu wasn't anything mind blowing especially when it's 55-60 a person including tip. Food used to be better when it wasn't frozen I've been coming here for almost 6 years and the staff has progressively gotten worse wish they would have younger staff instead of the usually old one, very unpleasant treatment especially if you aren't Korean... I recently went a couple of days ago with a friend from out of state and the older waitress literally chased him because he left a $20 tip on a $65+ tab, I don't know if targeted him because he was dark or not but she said that $20 isn't enough of a tip and he needed to put more... My favorite all you can eat KBBQ place! Almost always a free table and great meat! The sides are always amazing and the service is so fast. There have been times the waiters have offered to cook for us but most of the time we cook alone and go at our own pace. The moment we sat down, they assumed we know what we want to order but since were planning to get the $35 per head (guess more meat option) i told them to give us few more minutes. The servers came twice but we're not ready yet. Were trying to settle in first. When we know what we want, we rang the bell for 5mins. I ignore the fact and ordered first round. We knew theres something wrong w their grill (Table 9) cause it cant cook right. Its either raw inside or burned outside. (We know how to cook, we have korean grill/bbq at home) we couldnt eat properly. We literally just cooking for the most part, otherwise you will a burned meat. I had complained and they said its normal. I knew its not normal, never happened from aby other table we sat down before. I dont know if its language barrier or what but im trying to let them know. The server also forgot the complimentary soup, i had to ask for it. The server also serve this soup when we ask for the bill. And took away the soup as soon as we pay!!! I also ordered the cheese katsu and they look nothing in person. Ordered the soy garlic chicken, they look like theyre from another table and refry them (they look dry) i was not getting rcerything correctly, so i told my parents we just pay and leave to end our misery. We werent treated right. We couldnt finish the meat and didnt even try to finish it off. Talked to the manager and raised my concern. Overall it was not a great experience and will def cross this off my list. I understand a busy days, but that doesnt mean you can serve a crappy service to your patrons. I came with around 10 people for my friends birthday on a Saturday night. We made reservations so they had a small sectioned room off to the side prepared for us. We ended up going for the $25 all you can eat option. I definitely enjoyed the marination and quality of meats here than some other AYCE KBBQ places in Houston, even if the selection might not be as extensive. Some of the favorites for the night were the pork bulgogi, pork belly, and brisket. Also the AYCE option comes with unlimited appetizers (fried or steamed dumplings, shrimp tempura), wraps (lettuce, radish, rice paper), side dishes, and stews/soups/ramen. I don't think the appetizers added to much to the meal and were a little out of place. But the stews were the perfect amount of spicy and had plenty of ingredients inside. In the end they gave us a small container of fruit salad as a rice drink called sikhye. There is a button on the side to get the attention of the staff but they were attentive to us and we rarely had to use it. Make a reservation! We walked in Friday night and were apparently the only ones who didn't know we needed a reservation. Luckily, we didn't have to wait very long, but several groups walked in who had obviously been there before and knew a reservation was the way to go. We chose from the B menu. We tried: pork bulgogi, spicy pork belly, marinated beef bulgogi, and Korean fried chicken. Our favorites were the two bulgogis. It also came with shrimp tempura and a few other small starters, as well as the traditional veggie sides of kimchi, cucumbers, seaweed, and broccoli with some sort of dipping sauce. They were okay, but not worth filling up on. I will definitely go back and I think we'll fine tune the items that we like best. read more

I've been frequenting this Korean BBQ with family and friends because the quantity and quality is more superior than other ones I've tried whether AYCE or a la carte (seriously, to my surprise). While the set up for this AYCE BBQ is different from what I'm used to (going up to counters and picking out all the meat and veggies yourself and then grilling it), the service is pretty good and efficient. Our servers have been mostly on top of changing out the grilling plates and refilling items we request. There are three options for BBQing: A, B, or C. Your entire table will have to settle on one of those menus depending on your food item preferences as they offer variety. Menu A has much more seafood items than the other two and the meat quality is better. But Menu B+C aren't shameful either! They all come with unlimited ban chan, chosen menu items, a soup to share, salad, fried dumplings, spicy cheesy rice cake, and sweet rice drink at the end of the meal. Don't be afraid to ask for more food if your heart desires- literally. There are multiple marinades to choose from whether bulgogi, samgyupsal, or dak, such as garlic soy, spicy, wine, etc. I was particularly surprised by the flavor upon grilling as the meats were way more tasty than what I've ordered at another K-BBQ spot on Long Point which was way more expensive and service minimal. Happy hour here is basically lunch time as the AYCE menu is a few bucks less than during dinner. The best part is your clothes won't completely smell like BBQ after two hours of eating because their exhaust system is pretty efficient. read more
