So it was my first time trying some KBBQ and this location was selected by the group so was coming into it brand new. Inside decor definitely passed the vibe check, and it was cozy too which I think compared to other KBBQ places that are crowded I actually enjoyed. The AYCE menu was divided into 3 Categories (S,A,B) with each tier having more options. So we went B which in my opinion if you want the typical cuts and what you expect in KBBQ then that'll do. But you don't care bout the vibe, how's the food? Well I don't think the food quality was bad at all, but it wasn't omg I have to spread the good word to everyone I know to try this place. The cuts in terms of quantity was plenty but some of the quality was hit or miss for me. Some cuts was hard to distinguish between the others in terms of flavor/umami. Now I think a little responsibility falls to the grill master of our table but still. The speed once we placed our orders was fine but it felt well understaffed as it seemed like one waitress was taking care of 5 tables plus cleaning/clearing plate duties. I felt like a bother when I had to flag her down to order our next order since we were kind of waiting for like 10 mins after finishing our rounds. All in all, I think there's a lot of room for improvement for this location and would definitely come back if some of the core issues were addressed. But I think in terms of KBBQ places it really rides middle of the road.

Food was delish!! 10/10. Soda was a little flat and meat could have used more seasoning but honestly so so good! The rice cakes with cheese were divine. Service was great! Super kind waitress. I think the price beings in a certain crowd because it was so nice and clean inside.

We chose menu A $37.95 per person

I wanted to go to our go to Korea BBQ by our area but it was swamped. The wait was 35 minutes and my other half didn't want to wait. So we decided instead of waiting we would go to Korea House which the drive wasn't to far. I love the old school places but for sure reason I wasn't as happy about this place. Yes, it is all you can eat but the selection wasn't like our usual place. I was missing my oyster mushrooms and hot pot. Of course service was great but I wasn't feeling the food at the time. I think I will stick with our to go spot when craving Korea BBQ.

Given the abundant options of KBBQ throughout Houston now, it may seem inconceivable that the city wasn't well equipped for the demand even a decade ago. Korea House gets lots of pioneering credit for being among the first to adopt this format and even after all of these years is still a destination for many carnivores. I realize it's Spring Branch (#1), but I'm pleased to see that Korea House is still as Korean as ever. Most of the staff is able to converse in Korean (#2) and the old school decor is really heightened with the traditional decor pieces and antique figurines. I also really appreciate how group friendly every table is and the variety of multiple private rooms in the dining area. The format for the AYCE is divided by three separate menus: S - $42.95 for adults, $34.95 for children (4-7) A - $37.95 for adults, $29.95 for children (4-7) B - $32.95 for adults, $25.95 for children (4-7) All menus allow for different cuts of bulgogi, pork belly, grilled chicken, and a variety of non-BBQ items such as Korean fried chicken, katsu, Korean hot dogs, chicken tenders, kimchi bulgolgi fries, with a choice of kimbap or Korean fried rice, and a choice of two picks of soybean jiggae, soondubu, or ramyun. Menu A also has additional choices such as marinated beef short rib (kalbi), marinated sirloin, marinated, and beef bulgogi. The most premium menu, S, has ribeye steak, both marinated and unmarinated beef short rib, along with beef tongue, pork jowl, shrimp, spicy squid, more fried chicken like soy garlic and mozzadogs. Personally, I think A is the best of the three options. Kalbi is an essential add-on for the ideal KBBQ experience, but I do love the ribeye options for Menu S. If one goes for the latter, I'd recommend getting at least 4 rounds of ribeye alone to make up the difference. The meat cuts overall are decent and I'd give their beef belly, pork jowl, bulgogi, and shoulder steak as my go-to meats. I would have passed on the kimbap, fish katsu, and most of the seafood. I love the grills and appreciate that the ventilation was fairly solid. I do love that they utilize the call buttons at each table since the service would have been even slower if my group didn't continually press it to have them clear plates, add water, add sauces, or get napkins. I think the key to success here is to take it slow and come ready to eat. There was a moment where my group and I ordered too much too quickly and there was no room left on the table. Thankfully grills were changed out and occasionally the waitresses would help with cutting and cooking the meats. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. While I don't think it's incredible food, I do appreciate the variety of AYCE foods offered, the ambiance / feast-worthy atmosphere and the actual BBQ equipment is definitely on par. There are areas of improvement needed, but it won't stop me from making this a regular stop on my gluttonous rotation. __________ (#1) Houston's KoreaTown. (#2) Not applicable to a lot of Korean spots outside of the neighborhood.

Is a good AYCE Korean bbq place, they have 3 different menus and each of them has different prices, the more you pay the more meat options you get, but even if you get the cheapest menu the food taste good! Love this place from the inside We went during lunch time so it was cheaper, food was amazing service was okay; but we would still definitely be back!

I haven't been here in a while, but I don't remember it being this good! Came here after hanging out with some friends and we were definitely starving! First impressions: there's lots of parking and I really like the look of the place and the decorations. It feels very home-y. Service: Servers were great and helped our big party very well! Food was delivered in a fast pace and waters were refilled appropriately. Food: I'm always a big pork belly person, and it was so good here! Actually, everything was good here. The beef belly, pork belly, brisket and the bulgogi are all so good. Definitely will be coming here again and will recommend to others!

Leftover meats that they claim we didn't finish that they have to charge us extra

Do not go here!!!!!!!!! Here's my story !!! I went there on Monday 3/2/26. I'm not saying we didn't waste any food , I know we did with few pieces of the meat but let's be honest which AYCE you go to that we don't order something we never have before in my case ( beef intestine and tripe ) we place a order of each to try it out and we find out that's not something we like and we didn't finish the rest as you can see in the picture probably like 3-4 pieces of each . Personally I think it's responsible. The server we have was have a bad day or something he's like you have to finish everything we order if not we gonna be charge extra not to say I never seen the sign like that in other ayce place but as long as the waste is reasonable, there won't be any charge like that actually being charged to any of the clients. But idk what this server of the place is thinking saying that we wasted too much that we have to pay extra money . Don't waste your money or time to go here I will definitely put 0 stars if there's a option for it

I've been here many times it's some of the best food i have ever eaten very good service it's not very loud and you have a good amount of privacy

So I've been debating on posting. Service here is good they are responsive and get you settled right away. The bon chon is good and the food is decent for the price. The place is decorated beautifully and makes you feel like you're in another country. The issue was we had visiting critters as we finished our food to our table. Granted with all the wood structures things can happen. But it needs some attention

    Drew K.

I've eaten here multiple times, mostly for business lunches, and each visit has been great. Korea House offers all you can eat Korean BBQ where you grill your own food in the center of the table, and as a somewhat outsider to the whole thing, I've always found Korea House accommodating, clean, and most importantly, tasty. They offer 3 tiers of all you can eat (at least that's my lunch experience) each with a fixed price. Even if you select the cheapest option, you'll leave absolutely stuffed and happy. The portions and sides included are massive. Grab some friends and give it a try.

It's a fine establishment with consistent food for ayce. The chadol (차돌백이) is light and cooks great, the pork belly (삼겹살) is thin and cooks well! The pork bulgogi (돼지 불고기) is a bit heavier, but still holds great flavor and the tonkatsu (돈까스) is standard and filling. I love the service (very sweet) and for ~$36 you really cannot beat it. Another spot in the books for my father and I! Cheers!

I came here for the first time! I had a hot bowl of bibimpa with vegetarian style! It was good but I can say that they can put more flavors by putting mushroom seasoning or even more of soy sauce or salt. I felt a bit of seasoning less. So my suggestion is that put mushroom seasonings or soy sauce. I enjoyed the variety of side dishes as well! That's the features of Korean restaurant for sure! Toward the end, we also ordered a bowl of cold noodles (nyengmyong? Idk spelling) it was sooooo good! I love the flavors , texture and subtle tartness and all! Because of that my rating bumped up to 5 stars from 4 stars!! Keep up the good work and make vegetarian options more flourish as well! :) Cheers

Came by for weekday lunch and got their spicy bulgogi lunch special. The bulgogi was flavorful and spicy. They had a good variety of sides too. There's better Korean spots in Houston, but this wasn't bad!

This is cafeteria style with you ordering and your order is sliced and plated right in front of you. We went around the corner to the bar area and sat inside. That was really nice since the main restaurant was packed. We got 2 of the 2 meat and 2 side plates. I got the turkey and jalapeño cheddar sausage with Mac n cheese and potato salad. Everything was delicious. The turkey was so moist and tender. The sausage was Smokey and spicy. The Mac n cheese was super cheesy and the potato salad had a lot of flavor. The BBQ sauce provided was too spicy for me, but that didn't matter. My husband got the brisket and pulled pork with green beans and the elote. The brisket was super tender and flavorful. The pulled pork was Smokey and tender. The elote was really good. I didn't care for the green beans, but my husband liked them. Really enjoyed this spot. My experience here is why I tend to not frequent BBQ places, I hate being disappointed. The barbecue sauce (the signature and regular) were not good at all. Neither tasted like BBQ sauce. One tasted like tomato sauce with seasoning and the other tasted like a vinegary Tabasco sauce. The brisket was okay, nothing super impressive but no complaints. The queso might have been the most egregious issue (after the BBQ sauce) imagine paying $11 for tasteless, unimpressive, liquid cheese. Nothing in it but cheese and prayers. Adding the brisket (1/4lb for ~$9) along with a variety of other seasonings, made it okay. Ironically, reheating it after a few hours made it actually taste a bit better (enough to justify the price? Absolutely not). The mac and cheese was equally tasteless. One thing I think the Pit Room does EXCEPTIONALLY well is making pickles! These were delicious, seriously I'd go back just for the pickles (only the pickles).

The potato salad was a pleasant surprise! It is not your traditional potato salad, but If you enjoy anything dill flavored, you'd love it! The brisket was moist and flavorful, melt in your mouth good!!! The other sides were just okay, not bad but nothing stood out. The cobbler was a bit too sweet and it did not seem as though the ingredients were mixed very well. It was like they dumped sugar on top and baked it without mixing it. Pulled pork sandwich was meaty and flavorful. Pretty good BBQ Experience!!!

I'm adjusting my review to reflect Veronica's willingness to turn this experience into an opportunity. We were looking forward to trying this restaurant while staying at a hotel in Houston for medical treatments. We had it delivered to our hotel and sadly it wasn't the best experience. When we got our order to the room we were missing one side that we ordered. We got Mac n cheese, green beans and potato salad with a brisket/smoked chicken combo and a brisket/ribs. I was shocked to see two pieces of brisket and a chicken breast for $28. Maybe it was an off night but the quality just wasn't there. All the food was cold (our fault bc we ordered it for delivery) and was lacking flavor. Overall, we'd rate it like this: Brisket 3/5 Chicken 2/5 Mac n cheese 1.5/5 Green beans 3/5 Ribs 3/5 Potato salad 2/5 Maybe they were having a bad night but I wish our experience was better.

After doing my research and seeing food bloggers post online about this place, I decided to try it! We went on a Saturday afternoon at 2 pm - packed! There were no tables available inside and there were people inside and outside waiting for their orders. That's something to be ready for if you come on a Saturday. Our order didn't actually take that long. Or maybe it took a little while and we didn't mind waiting. Either way, it wasn't that bad! Luckily it's located in a shopping area so there's always parking. My main gripe is that they close at 7pm. I'm sure there's a good reason for that but I've wanted to try it multiple times before but they've been closed! I ended up going with the infamous brisket and fried rice. The brisket was super tender - I was able to pull it apart with my fork. I typically shy away from brisket because usually it's tough. But this was delicious - tender and had a nice smoky flavor. Not overwhelming or too salty. The rice had a great flavor too. There were chunks of meat in that as well and the rice had a nice smoky flavor. Not too salty or greasy. It also came with some accoutrements - pickled onions, fresh pickled cucumbers, jalapeños, bbq sauce and bread. The cucumbers and onions stole the show - very fresh and refreshing. We were surprised at the pickled onions - they were soo good! Overall - worth the hype! I'll definitely be back to try ribs, chicken or pulled pork sandwich. I heard everything is good here!!

I'm viet and imo that's the best way to pickle anything. Restaurant clean, service friendly and very fast. You can tell they are a neighborhood favorite, so many people came in after us to pick up and dine in! Only thing to "improve" is it was a little warm in the restaurant. Not sure if the ac was struggling bc of this Texas heat or what but other than that, food was excellent and we definitely will be back. Highly recommend!

You can ask to see the piece of rib before they cut it for you and they will happily oblige (patrons behind you might not be so thrilled with that move, but they'll live). Sides were excellent as were the mashed potatoes with white gravy on the side, green beans that were just tender enough, but also a bit crunchy. Perfect. They were seasoned with pork, so if that's not your thing, you might want to skip it. We also ordered their shareable onion rings, easily enough for three people that were huge, hot, and crispy. Let's get this out of the way, some of their prices are a little up there, but if you're anything like me, and don't frequent BBQ places often, it's a rare but enjoyable treat. Sometimes you have to splurge and live a little. Also, they have their regular sauce on tables, but you now have to ask the cashier for their sublime coffee BBQ sauce. Don't be shy, ask. It's worth it. Oh, pro tip: If you want beef ribs, the 'plate' is actually cheaper and a better deal than 'by the pound', so save a little money and get two sides.

Visiting from out of town and decided to give this place a try. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. I was not sure what I wanted to try, so Sam, the owner, gave me a sampling of everything; brisket sandwich, spare rib, potato, salad, coleslaw, beans, macaroni and cheese, jambalaya rice, and french fries. Everything tasted better than expected, especially the french fries, as few BBQ restaurants are able to get these just right. I will definitely return tomorrow to try something new. Definitely ordering the macaroni and cheese and potato salad again. Special thanks to Sam, the owner, who definitely took care of me. He knew I was from out of town, but treated me like a long time customer, which I greatly appreciate. Give this place a try... You will not be disappointed!

The counter service keeps things moving while the food speaks for itself. The brisket was exactly what you'd hope for: a pronounced bark, a rendered fat cap, and slices that held together until they were pulled apart. The surprise for me was the brisket taco. Instead of feeling like a gimmick, it showcased the meat in a different way, balancing smoke, richness, and fresh toppings without masking the brisket. Good barbecue restaurants know their sides matter just as much as the meat. The mac and cheese was creamy, the sausage had a satisfying snap, and the house barbecue sauce complemented rather than covered the smoke. If you're visiting Houston, this is the kind of place that reminds you why Texas barbecue has earned its reputation. Efficient counter service, excellent brisket, and enough menu variety to keep you coming back.
