The Kos Latte: Pistachio and Matcha with almond milk and cold foam (half sweet)

As a Matcha lover, I approve of this spot for Matcha. Located by Petco park in a small corner area. Parking is a hassle but that's nothing new when you're in downtown, so plan on searching for parking. It's worth the time. Inside, was modern and has adequate seating. The service was pleasant and my drink was made in decent timing. I ordered The Kos Latte: Organic Matcha, Pistachio Cream And Cold foam with almond milk. I ordered it half sweet since I wanted to taste the purity of the matcha. It did not disappoint. The drink was so creamy and rich with a nutty pistachio and matcha flavor. I savored every sip. I also appreciate the fact that they offer different cup size options and not just one size for all drinks. Glad I tried this place and I will be returning for more matcha and other items. Thanks Kos Coffee for putting so much passion into every drink.

The coffee here is really good. The service is fast. It's very clean. The inside is kinda small but they have outdoor seats. The yogurt bowl was very good and aesthetic. The parties looked soooo good.

Ordered a small Kos Latte with soy milk on a Sunday morning. I want to say it looked like a 12 oz cup. It cost $7.25 without tax/tip included. I could taste the pistachio. If you like your matcha sweet, this one is for you. They added sprinkles of pistachio on it as well which was a nice touch. However, I couldn't really taste the matcha as much as I wanted. Kos is right next to the library and also near Petco Park. Paid parking available and one 15 min slot just right next to it if you're lucky. Lovely coffee shop! Interior is beautiful, as well some outdoor seating. They were decked out with cute christmas decor! I got a peanut butter latte which was the perfect level of sweet + had lots of PB - and got to sit down and do some work. There is wifi and outlets!

We stopped by this coffee shop near Petco Park and Gallagher Square while in town for the Holoholo Festival, and it was such a great first stop in San Diego! The service was wonderful , the woman who helped us (I think she might be the owner) was so sweet and really guided us in choosing drinks we'd enjoy. The barista (who I also thinks owns it) was also super friendly and made sure we were happy with everything. The drinks were tasty and unique. I tried the latte with pistachio cream on top and really liked it. My sister ordered the matcha with pistachio cream on top which was delicious (honestly, I wish I had ordered hers!), and my brother-in-law had espresso shots that he said were smooth and flavorful. The shop itself is clean, has a fun vibe, and even some great picture spots inside. Overall, it's a welcoming little spot that I'd recommend if you're in the area.

surprised I never tried this spot before - it always gives off chill vibes as it never seems too busy but there's always 1 or 2 people inside working on their laptop. the coffee tastes good, I liked enjoying my cup by the window. they have a good variety of drinks and food, the kitchen seemed busy as a lot of people would come in and go and order a food item, so next time I would try something to eat here.

I have been to Kos Cafe twice. The service is great. They are super nice and it doesn't take long to get what you ordered. The first time I got the pre-workout smoothie. This time I got a caramel macchiato and a brownie. The caramel macchiato was so good and was pretty strong. The do have non-dairy alternatives. The brownie a little salty for my taste. I am looking forward to trying the salmon toast and açaí bowl. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The seating is bar seating and tables. It isn't a large place but it's big enough to have multiple groups of people.

Kos Coffee is walking distance from Petco Park on K Street. The have been under way for a little over a month now and are offering some very espresso based beverages and eat, not to mention Turkish coffee. I had an iced coffee with whole milk and touch of cinnamon and a toasted asiago bagel with cream cheese. The iced coffee was good, but needed a little bit more milk. I requested more and they happily agreed to add more. The asiago bagel was of good quality and tasty. I liked that it offered a subtle chew, too. The bagel came heavy on the cream cheese, but delicious not matter. I look forward to trying one of their breakfast bagels. The service was good. I liked that they welcome you when you walk in. This coffee shop us family owned.

This is a small coffee shop located in East Village, right near the Padres stadium. Parking is basically street parking, and there are many spots in the area so keep that in mind. It's probably more of a neighborhood spot for people that work or live nearby. It's a small coffee shop that has different drinks, some pastries, and breakfast items such as Bagels and sandwiches. There is seating both inside and outside, mostly for small groups. I ordered the Pappi latte and the bagel sandwich. The Latte can be served iced or cold, with your choice of milk. It has pistachio cream and crumbles of pistachio on the top. I did enjoy this latte, I had it iced, but I do wish it had a bit more of the pistachio flavor in it as that is one of my favorite flavors, I will order this again and next time ask for just a little more. The Bagel sandwich had egg ham and cheese, and you can choose between a plain Aciago or everything bagel. The egg was cooked just right Kama which I appreciated Period I wish the bagel had been toasted a bit more, I will just make sure next time to request that. The service was very fast, and they were friendly. I believe they must have free wi-fi, as there were several people seated with their laptops set up, who appeared to be working. I'd say it's worth a stop by if you live in the neighborhood.

We usually dont get mocha's but on the recomendation of the barista we gave it a shot and were glad we did. The chocolate added a nice touch without being overwhelming or overly sugary. The amount you get for the price was pretty decent as well. The atmosphere helped a lot too. There was tones of natural lighting, a variety of good seating, natural season decorations, etc. I always appreciate it when there is seating for whatever you intention is and it seems like they had that whether you wanted to meet new people, work alone or catch up with a friend. Overall a great spot.

I stumbled upon this place when Achilles Coffee was not open when they said they'd be. This mama needed coffee and my toddler needed something for breakfast that she'd actually eat (not as easy as it sounds). The place is calm and relaxing and very clean with a lot of natural light. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating. The owners were extremely friendly and let me know this was their fourth day being open! They are independently owned and are not affiliated with the coffeeshop that was here before them (apparently that one was rarely open and just bad). My daughter was delighted with a cream cheese bagel, and I got a steaming hot almond milk latte with the Yaya sandwich. It was really delicious and just enough food. They also have pastries and smoothies and bowls- I love that there's healthy options, which is also what the owners want. They are still working on some things (interior-wise) and may change up/add to the food menu in the future. They are gauging their clientele but hoping the whole family will stop in. This place is very welcome for families (there's juice boxes), dogs, or even to work or read a book. I am happy that I found this place on Google and decided to give it a try!

What a great find! The service was excellent, and the Mexican mocha was a pleasant surprise--I'm not usually a mocha person, but this one was fantastic. I also appreciate that they have plant milks, pastries, and food items like açai bowls. The space was clean and comfortable with lots of seating, and the convenient location near the library and Petco Park is a huge plus. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Went here with a friend and tried a London fog and a pistachio matcha. The matcha is high quality. They were both a 10/10! Next time, I'd like to try the peanut butter latte. Clean, relaxed space. Kind, quick, and delicious! My dog and I walked in on a random Tuesday afternoon, and were greeted by such a welcoming staff. I ordered a seasonal summer drink, which was a coconut water with a matcha foam on top. I'd never think to put those together, but it was a delightful combination! They also offered my dog a pup cup, which she loved. The shop was very clean and has a really cool design. Will be back soon! read more

It was my first time here and I ordered an iced coconut matcha which isn't great, tastes watered down with no depth. But I was more disappointed because I clearly ordered a small size. The cashier first picked up the largest cup and said "this size?" then she picked up the medium cup and said "this one?" Again this is my first time here. Idk which size is which and I had clearly ordered a small so I said yes but it ended up being the medium size $7.50. Why not show me the small size first like what I ordered or clarify while showing me the cup such as this is a large, med, etc.? That's pretty deceptive and not good customer service at all. read more

Decided to stop in after my workout. I ordered an Açaí bowl $14 and a turkey pesto sandwich $12.75. Definitely not worth the price. Took about 8 minutes to make. The place was empty, however, there is plenty of seating place is plain, no longer has the pictures I noticed earlier in the year. The bowl was decent. I would not purchase again. The sandwich I did not eat bc it came out with one thin piece of meat which was sliced in half. Horrible especially for the price. I immediately requested a refund. It was honored. I am not saying I recommend this place, but if you're a coffee drinker then I guess you should be okay. But the other items I mentioned are a no for me. read more

The pastries are really good and so is the coffee. Today I had their yaya sandwich which is normally good but this morning it wasn't and I was very disappointed. Avocado toast was delicious, staff was very friendly. However, I came primarily for the espresso...which was undrinkable, incredibly bitter. I'm guessing too high temp/pressure, but what do I know? I just drink the stuff. Sorry to say, I couldn't drink it from KOS. I hate writing a negative review for new shops, especially when they are so kind, but better to know early on so they can address the issues. Hope they improve! read more

We found out about this shop after running into our son's school classmate by chance, and learning that his parents just opened a coffee shop nearby. The owners are super friendly and welcoming; shop is clean, well lit, and neat with quite a selection of sandwiches, snacks, various caffeinated and non caffeinated drinks, smoothies and açaí bowls. What intrigued me most was they also have Greek coffee. With never having it before, it was a pleasant experience. The coffee was served in an espresso size cup, had a nice foamy layer, and had very unique smokey and earthy tones, unlike any other coffee I had before. We will definitely be coming back to visit again!!! read more

Since the first couple weeks of opening I have had nothing but positive experiences here. It is the perfect place to come for coffee in downtown. I think even the missing piece. Offering both traditional coffee but also Turkish and Greek coffee beverages, my craving for Kos coffee grows after every moment I take a walk in my break! It's practically become a ritual for my coworkers and I to come here to decompress, have something delicious to drink or eat, and spend the rest of our day happy because we made the decision to come here! I recommend the Kos latte or Papi latte. Drink up! read more

I stopped by this place while taking a short vacation in San Diego and it was a really pleasant visit. I got to try their Einspanner latte and it really lets you enjoy the full taste of the espresso without overwhelming you with the cream and cocoa. I definitely recommend it if you need a place to take a break at while waiting for the library to open. read more

I explained to him that when I tried to exchange the mango smoothies for an actual agua Fresca that I had actually initially ordered and paid for, that his employee took them and refunded me before he explained to me that he was going to refund me. I was trying to exchange 2 of the 3 I had bought and paid for. But the employee took them and tossed them into the trash behind the counter before he told me he wouldn't sell me anything else and kicked me out. At the same time, my son was outside with the drink he decided to keep and we didn't try to exchange. When the employee kicked me out I told him I was trying to buy others, but he wouldn't let me, told me to get out, so I left and told him I'd be leaving a review. For some reason he refunded me all 3 aguas ($15). I never asked for any of that, he just did it. It seemed that the owner and the employee both had an issue with the fact that my son kept the drink that he had outside. I'm really not sure what they expected me to do after I was kicked out. Did they want me to take it from him and throw it away? This has all been a very strange set of interactions. Luckily Señor Mangos and Anakin's aren't too far away. I can head there and order sugarless agua frescas and have never had an issue the dozens of times we've been there, either with the service of the taste. They are delicious and always so kind. If I were you, I'd steer clear of this place and go elsewhere.

I had such a great experience at KOS Coffee -- this place is officially one of my new favorites. I ordered the Papi latte, and it was honestly perfect. The flavor was incredibly well-balanced--not too sweet and not bitter at all, which can be hard to find. You can tell they really care about the quality of their coffee. But the real star of the show was the avocado toast. It was AMAZING. The balsamic vinaigrette added such a rich, slightly tangy flavor that took it to another level. Every bite was so fresh and flavorful. We also tried the homemade toast with peanut butter, house-made jam, and sliced almonds--so simple but so, so good. The jam tasted fresh and not overly sugary, and the combination of textures made it even better. Everything was fairly priced, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
