Love this ramen place. I had spicy Tonkatsu with calamari and popcorn chicken. Warning : their regular spicy is Spicy HOT. So if you just want to have comfortable spicy just go with spicy. It tasted great. And AFFORDABLE! One big bowl of ramen cost less than $10. Other place in RAncho cucamonga charge like $12-13 + if you want spicy they'll charge you more. Calamari was great. It wasn't from the frozen. The popcorn chicken was great too. It's not exactly like taiwanese popcorn chicken but i can tell that the chicken was marinated prior the frying process. Was so good, just so good. I and three friends went last night. Service was really nice and all the orders arrived quickly and were all correct. I took pictures of the food- I'll include them. Only criticism is that their dining room is still in that Covid-friendly state where there aren't many tables and they're far apart so it doesn't look too cozy, but the food is so fantastic that you forget right about it. It was my first time trying this place, but my friend recognized their menu as her go-to place where she gets ramen takeout from. If you've had rich ramen at other places, trust me: do not come here. Their miso ramen is equivalent to Cup of Noodles- no flavor and no richness. I hate to leave a bad review, but this place's ramen was not worth anything in my opinion. Nor was their popcorn chicken with rice. Summary: this rating is predominantly based on the kuro ramen with chashu. I would only recommend ramen at this time but am curious to see them improve on other items. Long version: This is a new place and I came during the soft opening with my sister. We ordered a ramen bowl each, as well as croquettes and popcorn chicken as an appetizer. Starting with the appetizer, it tasted fresh and came hot but after the ramen came in. Moreover, while it tasted fresh, I felt it lacked a bit of flavor... Perhaps some spices. Otherwise I think the amount you receive and the freshness would make this an excellent appetizer. It simply needs a bit more flavor. Having said that, when dipped in broth it is pretty flavorful. Moving onto the croquettes, they tasted fine although seemed a bit generic. Not bad if you like potatoes but they also tasted much better when dipped in broth. Now for the main courses: the ramen! I got the kuro ramen and my sister got the miso ramen. I tried the broth from her ramen and it was a bit too strong for my palette... Perhaps it was red miso? I personally prefer white miso and this did not taste like white miso... But she seemed to enjoy it, so that's just an unverified observation on my end. HOWEVER! As far as the kuro ramen goes... It was DELICIOUS. The noodles were soft, as was the chashu. The vegetables were bountiful and tasted good. And most importantly, the broth was just amazing. I'm not sure what kind of magic they do with black sesame oil but the rating on this review is purely based on how much I loved this ramen. I would come here again just for the ramen (and indeed, until they manage to work on a few of their other items, I would only get the ramen...). I'm actually very interested in trying their other ramen options, like the tonkotsu and spicy ramen. As a small addition, I also did have a milk tea to try it out and thought it tasted quite good. When we first got here we didn't know if they were closed due to the lack of customers! We walked in and were greeted right away by two servers the music wasn't on until we sat down. The servers were very friendly and attentive to us. I ordered a eel avocado roll assuming I would be getting something similar to a caterpillar roll sadly I was brought a roll that only had a small piece of eel and small piece of avocado inside, roll mostly consisted of imitation crab which was disappointing. So this review is especially for the spicy ramen! It's really good! The heat is perfect and I'm a very picky ramen eater! As for the outside dinning, it's the only one around here as we passed by from our local mountain snow play weekend. I wasn't expecting much but it was surprisingly authentic. But back to the spicy ramen, most places mess it up, but this place did a good job. I've been coming here since the soft opening, probably ordered over 50+ Spicy Miso Ramens with my wife and it's by far our favorite place to go to. During peak Covid, we would come here once a week. With that being said, I probably had one of the worst experiences at a restaurant I've ever had on Saturday. We came in around 6 and it was busier than we've ever seen it. We got seated as soon as we came in, one of the servers just dropped our menus down and left and that was the last interaction we had for 30 more minutes. Some guests sitting next to us, finished and left. And 2 more gentlemen walked in. They cleaned the table and sat them. For context, we never even opened our menu. We already knew what we wanted. Server came to their table and took their order first.. okay maybe it just made sense since they were more accessible. I scroll through my phone for a second and look back up to the server delivering some ramen to another table. At this point we were already annoyed, it seemed like we were invisible. They would exchange glances with us as they continued to work around the restaurant but never came over.. few more minutes passed and the gentlemen next to us received their order along with drinks and everything. This was the last straw for me, but I kept cool because I know my wife was really looking forward to her ramen. We waited a few more minutes and still nothing. We got up and left, as we got to the door; the same jackass of a server yelled out "thank you!." Uhh for what? Wasting 30 minutes of our time not being served and completely ignored? We still had our menus on our table with no bowls or cups. We were never served. I could've made a scene or flagged someone down, but that shouldn't have even been a concern. It was a busy dinner rush and i didn't want to ruin the place if I ever wanted to come back. Kosuke ramen has unfortunately gone down hill in the few years they've been open. Their yelp reviews have dropped from a 5 star rating during Covid. And their food quality has also dropped. It's not nearly the same as it was a year ago. Their customer service wasn't ever something to rave about. But ever since the guy with glasses took over as the main server or manager. It's been pretty Piss-poor. Not sure if we'll ever come back, we'll always have that sour taste in our mouths. As someone who's supported this restaurant all throughout Covid, it's a shame they lost me as an avid customer. read more

I haven't been to a ramen spot that has a choice of chashu or popcorn chicken :) they also have appetizer add-ons if you get ramen (udon not included). Their ramen noodles and soup are done very well and taste authentic, and the broth isn't overly salty. They don't have free water at the moment though, only water bottles. read more

I am deathly allergic to avocado. I unknowingly ordered a roll with avocado. I neglected to inform them of this. The roll had very little avocado in it. If they wanted to kill me, they should've done a better job. One star. The rolls came a good 10 minutes after the other entrees came out. And after a couple of other tables got their sides. Went to their soft opening and it was seated quickly. The service was great! the waitress was super nice. They were playing modest mouse when I was sat down. Cool vibes. My sister and I ordered their Kuro Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen with an extra egg and popcorn chicken (spicy medium). The Kuro Ramen was very flavorful, I enjoy the black sesame oil flavor. The noodles were perfect not too soft or too hard. The Chashu pork was good but it was a little fatty. The Tonkotsu broth was good, it was a little creamy. Some area of improvement, the extra egg I received was hard boiled to the core and cold. I am used to getting them soft boiled and melting into the broth. So I was a little sad about that. The the popcorn chicken tasted good but it was missing something. The spice was there but it wasn't crispy enough. It almost tasted over fried and chewy. The price was good all this under $30. I came for the curry. Ever since the Curry House closed all its locations in Southern California, I have been looking for a new curry spot. I thought this was katsu curry. I ordered the chicken cutlet. The waiter said it wasn't katsu curry, but it tasted pretty similar to me. It was a chicken cutlet breaded with panko bread crumbs and served with rice and curry sauce. We had lunch at this location today, and I didn't find it to my liking. Let's start by saying that I didn't order any of the ramen options, but my coworkers did. My review will be based on the spider roll that I ordered and my experience, but I will include a picture of one of the ramen bowls that our table ordered. The spider roll was on the smaller side compared to just about every other place I have been. It wasn't bad tasting, but it wasn't good either. I had some of the fried calamari and it wasn't what I was expecting either; it was cooked more like a breaded onion ring instead of the Japanese tempura style that I'm accustomed to. My coworker did state the spice of the ramen does creep up on you the more you eat it, but he also stated that it lacked flavor beyond the spicy tones. Something to note is that they only serve bottled water, so if you just want to have water with your meal, expect to pay another $1.50. Another thing to note is that they can't split your check; this isn't a big deal, but considering all the little negatives about this experience. I can't give this place more than 2 stars read more

This place never fails! Their food is always prepared within 15-20 mins and the flavor of their Ramen is really good. Usually, we go to like Rowland for Ramen, but this place has good quality. Most recently I got the tonkotsu Ramen with popcorn chicken. The broth is so rich and full fo flavor and the popcorn chicken is cooked nicely. If you like spicy, ask for some chili powder to go with your order. Yummmm.... that chili powder gives the broth a good kick. This place is definitely worth the try of you like Ramen.
