I am a YouTube bandit when it comes to car repair. I have a hard time playing the exorbitant fees for repairs I can teach myself. This time I had a misfire on my 2016 Odyssey. When doing my inspection, there was a large hole in my air intake hose. I figured it was likely due to old spark plugs as well. I have been scared off from doing this because then engine compartment is so dang compressed. Dacian at this location was so helpful. He found the intake hose and suggested a few other parts, like getting a magnetic socket, instead of using one of the extending magnets that were in the tutorial videos. He made a few other suggestions and was just super kind and helpful! I can say the socket was a game changer! I am so grateful for the suggestion and the car is working great!

We drove straight to Auto Zone on Guerneville Road. My husband went into the store and came out with Dacian, the associate who had a diagnostic tool. He plugged it into something on the driver's side and after a bit, they walked back into the store for the report. It showed that our voltage was low so they recommended we replace the battery. Dacian and my husband returned with a battery tester and it was inconclusive but it was recommended that we replace the battery since it was the original one. The manager mentioned that we needed a coding/programming machine after our battery had been replaced (for our car), so we needed to go somewhere who had that machine. Auto Zone did not have one on the premises but they would be happy to sell us a battery. Their prices are competitive. We thank Dacian for his expertise and patience. He is definitely a car enthusiast who knows cars by the responses he had for us. We are so appreciative of the knowledgeable staff here and the honesty for telling us that we needed one additional step after the battery was installed. We were delighted to hear that the engine light wasn't a bigger problem. Thank you Auto Zone! Located kitty-corner from the Chevron station.

However upon making an appointment, they refused to do the job. I ended up calling #Firestone At Coddingtown Center. They are a recognized installation center. I made an appointment with Regi one week ago for a 4 wheel alignment since he was their top mechanic. I live in Novato, which is 35 miles south of Santa Rosa and jump on the hwy 101 @ 7am to be there for my 8 am pre- arrange appointment. As you all know Santa Rosa hwy101 is a parking lot at that time and I barely made it there at 8 am. The receptionist check me in and informed me Regi was going to be in at 9 am, since he wanted to attend his daughters graduation. I said OK and walked around sipping on my coffee and notice one mechanic working on a white van doing an alignment- more like glued to his cell phone. I thought it might be Regi- watching his daughters' graduation? Around 930 I inquired about when he would start to work on my car. The receptionist stated- "don't blame me I wasn't here yesterday!" say what? I am being nice, what with the attitude? Do you want another tech? OK how long? another 45 minutes. You mean the tech that has been working on that white van alignment since 8 am- glued to his cell phone- NO THANKS. WORK ETHICS no such thing with todays generation. Hey man it's my kids grad day- so what let my customer wait- you know what screw it- I'm taking the day off. It my wife's' BD, My son's BD It my XX fill in the blank.... Then Randy the manager calls after I called their customer service with nothing but EXCUSES! Like anuses- every one has one. Randy your the manager not their mommy. American Tires and Wheel Works treat their customers a lot better- I have been doing business with them since 2004- GO THERE!

We've always appreciated the professionalism and expertise we've encountered there, and up until now, considered them our go-to diesel specialists. Let it be clear: this review is not a reflection of that team, but solely of the egregious experience we had at the Airway Drive location. From the very beginning, our dealings with the Airway Drive shop were marred by poor communication, extended delays, and a general air of disorganization that suggested either a lack of competence or a troubling disregard for customer service. Still, we remained patient--until the situation took a turn that was not only unprofessional, but wholly unacceptable. Upon arriving to retrieve our vehicle, I witnessed someone driving it toward the premises under the guise of a "test drive"--a process that should have been completed prior to our scheduled pick-up. More baffling was the bulky, black electric bicycle inexplicably loaded into the truck bed. Alarmed, I immediately rushed to the front office for answers. In the brief time it took me to walk in, the bike had vanished from the truck bed. When I confronted the staff, Jena informed me the truck had gone out for a final test drive and went to determine who had taken it. Moments later, Travis Coleman--co-owner of West Coast Diesels--came forward and casually admitted to using my vehicle to pick up a birthday gift for his son. His explanation? That it was "just a 7-mile" test drive, and "the truck runs great". As if the brevity of the distance somehow excused the gross violation of trust. Even more troubling was the fact that the odometer showed 33 miles had been added (from when it was dropped off)--well beyond what would be considered standard for any diagnostic test. One week = 33 miles Let's be clear: this was not a test drive. This was a co-owner of the business using a client's property for personal errands without permission, without disclosure, and without remorse. That Mr. Coleman felt entitled to use our vehicle as if it were his own--especially under the flimsy pretense of a family-related errand--is deeply unsettling and entirely unprofessional. It begs the question: if the ownership is comfortable doing this, what other ethical boundaries are being crossed behind closed doors? This incident alone is enough to erode any confidence in the shop's integrity. But unfortunately, it was not the only issue. Our vehicle sat in their care for a full week for what should have been a relatively routine repair. We received no proactive communication--every update had to be requested--and were met only with vague excuses about being "down technicians." While staffing challenges are understandable, poor planning and dismal communication are not. As a customer, it is not our job to chase down answers or accept delays without accountability. In light of this experience--especially the unauthorized use of our vehicle by a business owner--we will never be returning to the Airway Drive location of West Coast Diesels. If you value professionalism, honesty, and basic respect for your property, think twice before entrusting this shop with your vehicle. Disappointment doesn't begin to cover it. This was a complete failure in customer service, ethics, and leadership. Jake & Lucy
