It is sad to give such a low rating on a place that has good food but no food is so good that I would go back for the crap service here. I would leave a 1 Star but their food was good. It is a cute place with the county, nostalgic, small town decor you would expect. There was plenty of time to look around. We were seated quickly and got a beverage quickly. The couple in the table next to us ordered their food and we waited. And waited. And waited some more. Probably 25 to 30 minutes. WAY to long. As we finished ordering the couple next to us received their order. That is how long we waited! The gentleman working the bar was nice and brought drinks quickly. Our server - not so much. She asked the couple leaving if they wanted more coffee and completely ignored me. Didn't even look our way. I had to go get creamer from another table but my coffee was cold by that point. I've absolutely loved Krain's corner from the first week we moved out here. It has a historical value that you can't put a rating on but if you could it would be five stars. I like to go there for breakfast and the breakfast is amazing and then on top of that you can walk around and look at all the pictures and all the neat things they have on the walls that shows the history of Enumclaw. One piece was so over cooked could only get one very tough bite & the other quite greasy & soggy. Waitress offered to replace the burned one but I declined. She took $2 off my check. The only meal we go to Krain Corner for is breakfast. Biscuits and gravy is an option like toast, you can get it with anything on the menu. My husband gets the chicken fried steak everytime. Krain Corner is a family run restaurant kinda out in the middle of nowhere outside Enumclaw. The look and feel of it is "farm friendly roadside diner" and has a very eclectic setting inside. Lots of knick-knacks for sale or to look at and stuff on the wall. The food overall is appetizing but not overwhelmingly awesome. I eat here regularly but it has more to do with the charm of the place them the food. But the food is heaps better then your average Denny's or Sheri's food. The coffee is so-so. I have had great drip coffee from this place and I have have had terrible. I often eat breakfast food here and it is consistently good at least. Eggs, hashbrowns, toast and bacon! Lunch items are at about the same quality. The wait staff seems friendly almost always, and the lower seating area is this kind of older feeling bar setting. So if you are on your way out to the Enumclaw trash dump, swing on in! read more

What a cute place! Full of antiques, and a little shop attached (used items, etc). Lots of cute stuff on the shelves and the walls. We seated ourselves (per sign at entrance) and were quickly greeted by staff and brought menus. The menu was a bit pricey, but not bad. I had the BLT and French onion soup, and both were delicious! My aunt had the vegie wrap, & my uncle had the steak wrap. Both said they were very good! They serve beer and wine also. The restaurant prefers you pay with cash or local check. They have signs on the table asking you not to use charge cards, as it costs them to process it! They will take them, so don't worry! read more

I would say 2 stars for the food 4 stars for the environment and service. The food is okay, fairly forgetable--LUNCH, I have not tried their breakfast which is apparently delicious. It's rustic looking and they have a huge bar, there's an article about it posted, it's super old and there is a huge mirror that is from one piece. I love the Krain. Such friendly and consistent staff always smiling and on point with the refills and check backs. The food is usually always great, sometimes a miss but more than not it's on point. I love this place! I'm not sure why there are negative reviews except maybe that it is a bit rustic. The service has always been very nice and responsive, a little slower when they are busy, but the food is good so they get busy. Of note: I have ONLY ever had breadfast here. I usually get the Krain Scramble with toast so that I can use as much of the strawberry freezer jam as I can. I could drink it if they'd allow it! ;) Or I get the biscuits and gravy. I love it, but my love handles probably have another opinion. Everyone that I bring here seems to love it too. Their hashbrowns are perfect, not too crispy, but great with the scramble. I also usually get hot tea to drink. they bring me an entire pot of hot water and a good selection of teas rather than just one bag. While we are waiting for the food to cook, we ask each other trivia questions. Today I ended up with the Disney ones, so we had fun with that. I go out of my way to go there for breakfast, even though it takes me at least a half an hour to get there. My kids love it, my mom loves it and my friends do too. I'm so sad that we didn't have a better breakfast experience. I love the homey décor and the people. I love that it's right by my house and I could even walk there if I wanted. I'm sure I'll give it another shot and hope to revise my review with better feedback. The omelet I ordered was thick but had cold slices of processed cheese on top and inside. Not gooey, delicious, cheese, but triangles of cold cheese. An omelet is usually a good test for a new place, but this just showed me that they take shortcuts when it comes to the quality of the ingredients. The biscuit was gummy instead of fluffy and the gravy was not flavorful. My kids were happy, but I would like to be able to eat something delicious when I take them to breakfast too! read more

This place is my favorite place to go for breakfast. I've been coming here with my family for years. I love that they serve breakfast all day and are willing to sub hashbrowns for fruit. It's a great family restaurant. Staff was friendly. A bit slow to meet the server, but she was the only one in the place, so it wasn't a big deal. Food is decent. It's nice that kids meals are only $3.99, but they don't include drinks and the portions are small (my daughter, 8, usually can't finish her meal and we needed to order her extra food). The 1st time, I thought it was one of the best sandwiches I'd ever had. The 2nd time, it was positively one of the worst - small, the bread was damp, etc. I couldn't believe it.
