There aren't many Krispy Kreme locations, so this is a welcome spot. It's not a huge location, as it's more of a grab & go spot, but it's pretty clean, modern, & bright. There's a surprising amount of seating available, but I don't usually find people hanging out. I really like how they have windows where you can see the donuts being made, it's just something fun to watch. They have a solid selection of donuts and drinks. It's a little more expensive than your usual mom & pop donut shop, but they're of consistent quality. Service is pretty quick as well. read more

The sticky sweet smell of these delicious creatures alone is enough to send me into a delightful sugar coma. I swear you can smell them from 280. I think my sense of smell has been heightened since joining Weight Watchers. Plus they are 100 times sweeter, which while offensive to some, is the very reason I favor them over other brands. I'm a huge fan of Krispy Kreme donuts. Any true fan will tell you that the hot and fresh original glazed donuts are the best things on the menu. When I came in to this location today, the cashier said the donut machine was broken and that they were unable to make any more donuts tonight. That's simply unacceptable. The donuts are only good when they're hot, and there were no indications that they were out of hot donuts until I asked. 10 years ago, I would have given this place 10 stars if possible. The free doughnut handed over to eager children when their HOT DOUGHNUTS NOW sign was lit up, the conveyer belt gently leading the newly born doughnuts to the glaze waterfall and the oohs and aahs of curious children and adults alike. Ah Krispy Kreme, what's happened to you? The recipe is basically the same, the look of the shop is the same and the doughnuts look the same. The only difference is the quality of the doughnuts and the selection available. There's no more free doughnut at 5 o' clock, there's a suspiciously stale taste in the cake and filled doughnuts (they're probably not made in house) and the coffee is stale too. Also, when did doughnuts start costing more than $1 each? That's sort of insane. When local doughnut shops that don't have the comfort of corporate pricing can sell them for much less, it just seems like Krispy Kreme is getting greedy and trying to suck up more profits. I'll still do the occasional trip with a friend if they insist on it, but my days of packing in dozens upon dozens of doughnuts in my car for staff appreciation days or birthdays are over. 3.5 stars, really. This is my "local" Krispy Kreme as it's the closest one to San Francisco. They have the best glazed doughnuts. Even better, the chocolate glazed doughnut is chocolate over a regular glazed doughnut. Heaven! I remember coming to this location the day it opened in 2001 (or was it 2002?). Since I was unemployed at the time, I had nothing better to do. (I also went to the opening of the first Bay Area KK in Hayward, but that's a story for another time.) This is how much gasoline will be soon. -It is not worth the 10 dollars as these are very basic ingredients, its not like the dough or sugar from whole foods.. its packaged Safeway/Costco type of sugar.... Maybe I sound picky as hell but all this is heated liquefied sugar for the same price as a 90 minute movie in 2007....meh.. 20 dollars for 24 doughnuts....yet on their sign says its 65 cents each.. You get a better deal buying then individually 65 cents each OR pay 1.20 for each when purchased n a dozen? As of 5/14/14, I do not think this place is worth it anymore.
