It just is a given when I am in Issaquah that I swing by the Krispy Kreme for some doughnuts. Super convenient as it right by Home Depot and Fred Meyer with plenty of parking. Though the street between the two retailers is seriously a huge pain and confusing. This location is special because they have a drive through. How cool is that? If there is one thing that Top Pot could add, it would be a drive through. The original glazed doughnuts were the first type of doughnuts that I tried and still remain my favorite of all. Other than their signature original, they have a large selection of other doughnuts. My favorites of these being the apple fritters and jelly/filled doughnuts of any flavor. They also have a selection of coffee drinks. Have not had any here, but I have found the coffee to be pretty acceptable from past experience at other locations. Comparing Krispy Kreme with Top Pot, I would say they are pretty equal. It depends on what I feel in the mood for that determines which one I go to. The selection here is more classical, whereas Top Pot has more of a specialty doughnut feel to them. But I do like Krispy Kreme in the way that the ambiance is laidback and it is less pretentious. It is more of a grab and go joint than a Starbucks clone in which to savor sweets. read more

This place is so cute with an old school diner/soda fountain feel to it! I even saw some other patrons wearing Krispy Kreme hats. Great selection of donuts, especially liked the Halloween themed donuts (spider donut, pumpkin donut, etc). Only wish they were less costly. Excellent handicapped parking and it's super easy to push a wheelchair or walker in here. They also have a drive through and lots of regular parking. I swing the drive thru by Saturday morning to grabs some doughnuts for the kids. I was told to wait while there was no one in line which was fine. I finally order the assorted minis and pulled up to wait some more. After a mediocre greeting I received the doughnuts paid and left. I had a doughnut on the way home and to my surprise they seemed to be day old. I should have stopped by Safeway and bought some hostess. Maybe I expect more from a business that may possibly make doughnuts on-site. This Krispy Kreme location is amazing. We have 3 little kiddos so going to get some donuts for them, and a coffee for us is a must (especially during a pandemic lol). We go here often, and they are always quick, friendly, and the kids love their donuts of course! There was a small mix up with our coffees, and so we went back and they were SO kind about it. I keep giving the Issaquah Krispy Kreme locstion chance after chance, the fail every single time. Extremely slow service (at my last attempt I stood at the drive-through order ststion for 13 minutes while the attendant kept saying Sorry One Moment every time I said Hello), every time I have gone there I have been told that 'we are out of fritters right now'. I don't believe they even make fritters. Every employee just uses the standard reply of 'we are understaffed right now'. Clearly this place is severely mismanaged both in terms of staffing and of product supply. On the rare occasion that I did get what I ordered, the quality was mediocre. Also, there is no list of donut flavors at the drive through menu. What is the point of the menu then?? I will never visit this location again and will tell everyone to go to TopPot Donuts instead, as they are much more on top of their business and their customer service is topnotch. They always have more customers and yet their service is much faster and they do not run out. read more

Krispy Kreme donuts are delicious and I often crave them. But this location is so disasterously unreliable that I'm really hoping to find a new one to go to. I drive 20 minutes one way to get to this one only to find not fresh donuts, out of stock donuts (at least 2 choices we pick are out every time we're there - even in the mornings) or worse, employees who can't hear what you are saying due to either too much noise inside, or a terrible mic, causing donut orders to often be incorrect. Love that this store stays open until 10pm. We tested this theory and visited late one evening (after 9pm). We had wanted to order a dozen of the classic, but they were sold out. 1/1/19- Return trip! Got another raspberry filled and was satisfied, though we came in hopes to redeem the lack of glazed doughnuts during our previous visit. They were available!! I had no idea they came in a variety size pack. It's been a while since I've actually received these original glazed bad boys, so I'm not sure if we got some big ones(bonus!!) or mostly smaller ones(boo!) either way, they tasted good. Do they ever actually have fresh hot available in shop? Also we drove 30 minutes to get glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts to arrive and find out they were totally out of stock.Is this something that happens?! However I'm a chocolate doughnut fan and couldn't help myself by getting one dozen assorted ones with chocolate long john being my #1 choice of all time. Very disappointed! I had PREORDERED my BERRY DOUGHNUTS. When I went to pick up my order, they didn't have it ready, and they almost ran out of the Berry doughnuts, not because of the preorders, because they put them out to the public. They should've filled the preorders first, since these orders had already paid paid! . The girl said that they had no more STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE CRUMBLE. That was the one really wanted to taste. **Update 9/29/2016** I just wanted to update my review of this donut shop as my last review was over five years ago. This is another establishment which, I am SO pleased to report, is consistently excellent on every level: food, service, ambiance, staff. Places that set the bar so high and meet that level year after year after year deserve recognition, as it is such a rarity to sustain such high quality across the board. Happily, this Krispy Kreme does just that! It's always super clean. The staff are always super nice. What can I say about the donuts? OMG they're always super good! Today is "National Coffee Day" and I wanted to give a shout-out to this site as, whereas most places aren't doing anything in recognition of this "holiday", Krispy Kremes are not only giving out free coffee but ALSO giving their customers a free glazed donut, too! I went through this drive-thru early this morning (they open at 5am!), and asked for the free coffee. I was offered the donut but declined (watching my girlish figure, dontcha know! It was hard to say no, though, gotta admit it!). But the lady who brought me my coffee was SO sweet and pleasant and, I must say, it really started my day off on the right foot. Great Staff Person - Pretty Good Donuts too! Went through considerable effort to get to this location (Issaquah) to buy donuts for my co-workers. When I pulled up this morning (6 am - the stated opening time), the drive-up was closed. I went into the store. All the lights were off. No one was in sight. (I was hoping I had not stumbled into some crime scene...) I yelled out for help; and out came a cheery clerk. She explained that the entire doughnut making system had broken. Around this time, an obviously very annoyed manager stalked by and disappeared out the front door. So back to the good part, the friendly clerk quickly loaded me up with four dozen (though day old) doughnuts. Then because the manager had disappeared, the cash registers had not booted-up and could not take credit cards. I was lucky to have had the cash; and, because the cash till drawers were sitting out, the nice clerk was able to make change. I went back to the office with piles of donuts and everyone there were delighted (did not mention the doughnuts were a day old!). So my hat is off to the clerk, who dealing with an extremely difficult breakdown of the entire doughnut making operation, a manager who disappeared, was able to be super friendly and got the doughnut needed to anxious customers. I hope to see this positive energy clerk as manager of a Krispy Kreme one day in the near future! read more

Ah yes, the post-hike/bike/outdoor-activity classic: Krispy Kreme Donuts. This place has been here forever. I remember coming here 15 years ago and watching the donuts pass through the mechanized assembly line. However, much has changed over the course of time, and sadly I have to say that the quality of this Krispy Kreme has been on the decline. I remember there being freshly made donuts every time I used to come, but now I never see the glazed donuts being made, and all of the selections at the counter are sadly cold and a little bit greasy looking, I always used to come for their traditional glazed donuts, but looking at them through the glass made me consider walking five minutes to Fred Meyer and getting a dozen there. Instead, I ventured out and ordered a traditional cake donut, one of favorites of all time. Dry, dry, dry. When I hear "Cake donut", I envision a moist and decadent interior, not a hard and crumbly mess. I could tell that it had either been baked a tad too long or been sitting out for hours.
