But it's legit! 2 dozen of original glazed donuts for $9! You can upgrade to assorted for just $2 a dozen. They're so easy to devour! Nom nom nomz! If you call ahead of time, you can know when they're making a fresh batch so you can pick them up when they're nice and hot! Bad customer service and disgusting discovery in the bathroom...my friend and I went in line to order a couple of donuts and the woman helping us was so rude. "That's it?" We ordered like 5 donuts... yes that's all for the two of us thanks. I hate that they're so close to Boiling Crab, so its waaaaaaaaaay too convenient to grab a donut while I'm waiting for boiling crab. The service was really good, the girl was helpful and patient . The reason I'm giving 2 stars is because leaving on the light up sign to show fresh doughnuts when you just put them in the oven for me for a couple minutes is quite deceiving. It doesn't taste the same, the texture is mushy and feels like you're eating straight fat & definitely does not taste like a fresh hotly made doughnut. Sadly, it was more of a do-not for me. It's a damn good thing that this place has good product because what the experience I had at this location today was truly unbelievable and even more sad. I walk in to place a quick order for 1 dozen doughnuts. I was the only person in the store at this time. The moment I walked in the two Asian staff (one male wearing a read shirt and face mask and one woman wearing a dark grey shirt, face mask and glasses) did not greet me with so much as a "hello" or ANYTHING instead they stared me down and asked "do you have a face mask?" "You need to come back with a face mask" I understand that the country is currently going through a pandemic and the employees may have been doing everything in their ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures. I did not put up a fight or hassle, the only thing I said was "I was hoping to pick up a quick order, I'll even stand outside and wait for it to finish" in the middle of that exchange between me and the staff a Caucasian couple enter the store behind me (they were NOT wearing masks) the staff staff welcomed them in and said NOTHING about the need to wear a mask to them. Immediately after, another Caucasian couple enter the store (un masked as well) still no warning or anything in that nature to the Caucasian customers that have entered. I stood there at the front of the line, turned around to look at the unmasked customers behind me and then to look back at the staff at the registers directly in front of me(I looked back and forth at least 3 times) I could tell that the male staff member knew what the issue was at this point; he then said to me "what can I get for you?" I asked for 1 dozen plain glazed doughnuts. He placed the order, told me my order and asked if I would like a copy of my receipt (given the tone of my interactions here I certainly did want a copy) I stood outside and waited for my order to finish. It finished and I am currently back at home enjoying them while typing this. Whoever was working the evening/night shift on Friday, May 1st, 2020 you should know that people are dying during this pandemic, many people are jobless and or struggling to feed themselves and their families. You have the opportunity to work at this very much non-essential business and continue to earn a paycheck and you waste it on being racist? I will never EVER return to this location again in my life, I will also be telling EVERY business owner, family member and friend that I know about my experience today. I was so excited when I saw that Krispy Kreme was opening at The Plant but now my gut is suffering :( Ever since they opened I've been getting more frequent donut cravings and omg Krispy Kreme is right here so I'll go get myself a donut. So far I've had the glazed, maple, sour cream glaze, custard filled, powdered raspberry filled(I think), chocolate, and some donut holes. Out of all of those, the glaze is the only good one there and everything else is just ehhhhh. The glazed just looks so pretty all of the time and it's so fluffy and super sweet and just so perfect for me :) I decided to try the donut sundae one night and that wasn't as donutgasmic as I thought it would be. The soft serve isn't that good and it cools down the donut so it's not as hot and fluffy as it would be by itself. It's a pretty small location but just take your donuts and eat them outside in the little park or on the benches all along the plaza. 2.5 stars. Been spoiled by Stan's Donut Shop in Santa Clara. Yes, the location is clean and very nice. The staff needs some work customer-service-wise. I know they're busy, but a little smile or a little happiness in their work wouldn't kill. The doughnuts are typically $1.09 for one but only $9.29 (not sure on exact price) for a dozen! It is such a better deal to buy a dozen, but I am trying to cut down and cannot be around that much temptation all day. Really cute, perfectly shaped and sized doughnuts every time. But the texture isn't as light and fluffy as other doughnuts in other shops. Plus, they're smaller doughnuts; and the glaze, sugars, and fillings are just way too sweet. This review concerns mostly the managers here. I give their donuts ~ 3/5 (which is good but still nothing compared to Dunkin' Donuts opening up a few miles away). When I first got there, I really had to take a pee pee, so I waited outside the bathroom door as an employee came out. I walked inside, handled my business, and realized that there's NO SOAP, so that girl must've not washed her hands. I walked out and tried to make sure she at least put on a pair of gloves, but NOPE she went directly placing "freshly glazed" donuts in the boxes with just her hands. Ever. If you're in one of the other stores in this complex along Cutner Ave., I would definitely recommend coming here before leaving. These donuts are a lot better than traditional donuts you get elsewhere. And if you ever see the Hot Light on and you don't come here, I can guarantee you're missing out and you WILL regret it. Hot donuts are not just normal donuts at a higer temperature. Hot donuts are fresh. Hot donuts have a different, more dynamic flavor, and are much, much softer. I visited this Krispy Kreme location recently with my groupon for 2 dozen donuts. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The two people working behind the counter greeted me with a smile and iced my donuts fresh on the spot. The donuts were nice and warm when I got them. YUM! The place was also very, very clean. I'm had some bad experiences redeeming groupons at other businesses, where people acted rude and put out that I had a coupon. This was definitely NOT one of those places!
