Place is back open same if not better than before. The help is nice and chicken is hot

    16 piece fried chicken

I came back here for some fried chicken again!(we have been coming here quite frequently over the other fried chicken chains) This time was probably one of the best times because the chicken was piping hot and juicy with a super crispy crunch! The fries were just okay but that's fine because it's not the star of the show. Come here for your fried chicken! You won't regret it when you eat it fresh.

Of all the KKC locations (aka gas station chicken) I've been, this one is the best. I've never had any issues when I walk in or with the chicken. Always consistent. I needed a large order for a pot luck and I called in the morning for pick up later that afternoon and when I got there, it was neatly packed, bagged and ready to go. They were super nice when I called in my order and when I offered to leave my credit card info as a deposit, they told me it was okay no need. As far as the taste, it's consistently good--crispy and not greasy. I prefer KKC over Popeye's and KFC.

'Yes, b--h, keep on going.'" - Cardi B Ratings are spot on. 3-stars on the cusp of 4-stars. Yes, I read the reviews and some of you sound like cry babies complaining about customer service from a gas station! Cry me a River! For me, it's all about the Fried Chicken! Krispy Krunchy Chicken was a first for me. I was in the area and jonesing for Friend Chicken and Popeye's, Kentucky Fried popped up, but so did Krispy Krunchy Chicken so of course I had to give it a shot! It's a tad hard to find if you're looking for a restaurant... 'cause it ain't no restaurant lol... it's located inside a gas station! I walked in expecting the worst. After reading a few reviews I was expecting the Soup Nazi to be staring me down! So I came in with purpose, sleeves rolled up, and knowing I already wanted the 3-pieces white/dark meat combo. Um... I was actually greeted with a "Hi". I gave my order and heard "Thank You" as I left. Hmm maybe it was my fierceness or the simple fact that many of you are simply cry babies lol. Oh well. Let's dig in! My order also included a Buttermilk Biscuit which was tasty with a buttery and a hint of jelly flavor. The Fried Chicken was interesting that each piece was a different experience lol. First, the Drumstick was delicious! That was perhaps the best 'Stick from a Fast Food, ever. However, the Wing was meh at best, more on the dry side and just off. Lastly, the Breast was surprisingly moist yet the skin crispy. Overall it was a deal for $7.xx! In the end, I'd recommend Krispy Krunchy Chicken if in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way for it as it's simply fast food in a gas station. Yet, the hint of Cajun in the Fried Chicken in a "Man's Man" gas station would bring me back when I'm in the area, no spoiled diva here, but I promise you my sleeves will be rolled up;P

Four pieces of Krispy Fried Chicken for $7.99

Wow, Krispy Krunchy Chicken really lives up to its name- crispy and crunchy chicken indeed! Dropped by here for a quick snack after grocery shopping at Ranch 99 and the worker said the fresh drumsticks will be out in one minute. Waited for that one minute and literally tried both the fresh drumstick and the warm chicken thigh inside the gas station parking lot. The fresh chicken (Cajun style) drumstick is so hot and juicy- delicious! The only problem is the thigh tasted a bit salty probably because it has been sitting out for awhile. Definitely worth trying if you are around the Skyline Blvd in Daly City.

Yum! I've heard a lot about Krispy Krunchy Chicken, but never tried it until today. It's located inside of the Valero gas station at the right side of the building. Parking here is very limited since it's a gas station. I ordered the 3 piece dark chicken meal which includes a honey butter biscuit (no drink) and also ordered an extra biscuit to go with it. I've heard a lot about the biscuits being the better than other fried chicken places and WOW it actually does taste better! The biscuits here has a slight honey flavor while a buttery flavor too and it's not as dry as other popular chain restaurants. It's crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside! Now time for the main part of my meal! The chicken leg wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be, but the chicken thigh was VERY CRISPY and good! Both the leg and thigh was also a bit too salty for me, but I was ok with that because the meat was very moist. I'd recommend this place! They have many sides to choose from if you don't want their chicken and their biscuits are amazing! Even though the chicken may have been a bit too salty, the biscuits and crunchiness of the thigh made up for it!

TLDR; $5 for 2 piece, a leg and thigh, $2 potato wedges but it's a tad salty Fried chicken at a gas station.. who knew lol shrugs Came across this on yelp and visited around 4pm .. I was wondering when I would ever be made to visit.. upon realizing that on GPS ranch 99 is across street lol easily walkable I see there are 2 parking spots available for anyone who is pulling up with their whip (ghost ride it) --- obviously I tried extremely hard to attach this phrase to "whip" lol Upon entering the store, you immediately see the cashier for the chicken shop area! Menu is on LED screen and prices are a steal $4.99 for two pieces, leg and thigh, $1.99 for potato wedges, wedges can get a little salty though Delicious! Would pick this over KFC... that also in the same plaza of Ranch 99 lol Can't wait to be back!

    4-piece meal with extra biscuits

Doesn't look like a typical place where you'd get fried chicken but hidden inside the Valero gas station houses a fried chicken joint. In it's entirety, this place is definitely decent with a large portion of the meal being satisfying. My main complaint is more due to their attention to care, mostly that I was missing part of my order. I had a 4-piece meal and bought three additional biscuits and came out with only three biscuits. That said though, the place has pretty decent fried chicken. It has a light and crispy skin which is good but not quite as crispy as most of the korean fried chicken I've had. I think it could also use a little more salt as the skin was fairly bland but the chicken interior was juicy and well flavored. There's a bit of marinated chicken fat that helps retain the moisture of the dark meat without becoming overtly oily. Overall, fairly well made. I do think I lucked out since I got less biscuits than I ordered because I found the biscuits to be too buttery. It's so buttery that the biscuit flakes upon holding it up and overpowers everything else. I can still taste the butter and it's been a few hours since I had my meal. I would say it's a decent biscuit but I think if you're looking for a more well rounded biscuit that doesn't linger for too long then I prefer Red Lobster's biscuits more. All in all, though I would say this place is closer to 3.5 stars. I would dock off more because the staff wasn't wearing a face mask especially in the pandemic so that is a concern but the food was decent. You can't really go wrong but definitely check your order before you leave since I was missing a biscuit.

    Takeaway: Mix and Match.
    Peter L.

The fried chicken are made to order for the most part since the heat-lamp case is usually half empty. You can choose dark meat, or white meat, or mix - a rarity for fried chicken joints. The jambalaya was okay but good if you don't eat it often. Better than average fried chicken for snacking, or quick pickup before going home like most of the customers. Strictly to-go as no seating is available. The wait time from ordering to leaving is not bad but expect a wait if a crowd. Too bad they don't serve late due to the mini-mart's early closing time. Located right off Hwy 35 on opposite side from the Skyline Shopping Center.

I've seen the signs of this before along St. Francis (near Pacific Super) and I didn't realize they had one inside a gas station. Honestly, I am not a fan. We came around 7-7:30ish and I guess it was almost closing time for them. Wanted to get a bucket of wings but the team members / workers obviously didn't want to cook more chicken. They kept changing the estimated time to us and it makes you realize they just didn't want to do it at all. We opted for the leftovers and it wasn't that great. It had an aftertaste to it, probably from using the same oil all over again.

    Making da chicken!

My Goodness Gracious, it's Chickenlicious!!! I can't believe how many times I've driven by this Gas Station to/from surfing and the airport and never, ever, knew that there was an unbelievably YUMMY Fried Chicken (they also sell fried fish, corn dogs, etc) place located in the mini mart here!!! Thank you Yelp for finally helping me find this awesome business when I did a search for "fried chicken" in the area after catching some waves!!! So Gas Station Chicken is pretty common in the Southern United States, with mini marts selling a variety of delicious take out goodness. The dish is a venerated and integral part of Southern Culture. As a matter of fact, one of my favorite fried chicken places in New Orleans is located in a Service Station. Here in the Bay Area, you pretty much have, in order of my personal preference, Church's, Popeyes, and KFC for chicken. The parking lot here is pretty small but there's plenty of street parking. I walked in and was warmly greeted by the staff. As other Yelpers have stated, they do indeed cook their chicken to order so it will take a few minutes to get your food. That said, the mini mart where this food counter is located is very, very well stocked with fresh groceries so you can also do your other food shopping while you wait for your order! I can't begin to tell you how good my truck smelled with the incredible aromas of a box of hot, freshly fried bird filling the cab! I ordered a 12 piece dark selection, family fries, red beans and rice, and 3 biscuits. The fried chicken was truly DIVINE. It was crispy on the outside, warm and juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned without being overly salty! I also LOVED their beans and rice! It was super fresh, savory, and flavorful! And the honey biscuits, Ohhhhh My! They were so light, creamy, and sweet! The BEST, EVER! Seriously, forget the manky KFC located across the street and get your gourmet fried food at this Krispy Krunchy Chicken location!!!

Great gas station fried chicken. Everything was already prepared and the guy that runs the register also boxes us the chicken. I was in and out in 5 mins. Only complaint is why don't they add them delicious biscuits to a value meal.

Although there are more dead people in Colma than living the inside Raising Canes felt alive with decor which represents the nearby schools and local sports teams. I ordered the box combo from their minimalist menu which has all the essentials except onion rings . I enjoyed the lightly batter chicken fingers which was not too crunchy and was tasty dipped in the Canes signature sauce and the tangy with the honey mustard sauce and a bit spicy with their Louisiana hot sauce . It came with crispy not soggy crinkle cut fries which were a good way to pair the chicken fingers along with Texas toast which was not too flakey like some in SF. This is one of my favorite fast food places to get chicken fingers. They also do catering so you can give others the finger. You can get to Colma by feet , car , or BART "train" , to grab the chicken fingers which has flavor which are not bland or "too plain " it's a national "fast food chain" who got its namesake from the owners yellow Labrador Retriever, "Raising Cane" It's worth the "trekking" and worth "checking" they have a finger discount and it's not the fingers I was "expecting" its chicken fingers you can do some "hand pecking"

However, I have to admit that our most recent visit to this particular location now makes it two times that I've been let down. Compared to the Super Duper locations that I've been to in SF (SoMa, FiDi, Marina, and Laurel Village), this one lacks that neighborhood feel to it, but it makes sense given how it's located at Serramonte. That said, with its two long high-top tables, handful of booths, two-tops, and outdoor patio area, this one offers way more seating whether it be for groups large or small. Similarly, the menu not only offers all of Super Duper's usual offerings (burgers, fries, salads, breakfast sandwich, shakes, and soft serve), but it also has featured/seasonal specials as well as the fried chicken sandwiches and tenders from their sister eatery in SF, the Bird. -- TRUFFLE BURGER - Urbani Truffle Butter, Grilled Onions, Portobello Mushrooms, Monterey Jack Cheese, and Super Sauce...$12.50 (Single Patty) Sadly, the taste of the truffle butter wasn't that strong (though, this still felt luscious), but I really liked how well the grilled onions, cheese, and mushrooms worked together. So, as underwhelming as this was as a "truffle burger", this was great as a "mushroom burger". -- GARLIC FRIES Topped with Parmesan Cheese...$4.75 From past experiences, I know this can be hit or miss depending on how garlicky it is and, unfortunately, this was light on garlic. Still, everything else about this was pretty solid. The fries themselves were cooked well and I loved how this was LOADED with Parmesan. -- MINI BURGER with Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onions, Jack Cheese (+$.75), and Bacon (+$1.50)...$7.50 Not as good as other times I've had it, but still not bad. The veggies were fresh and the bun was soft, but the patty didn't feel as juicy this time and didn't have that bit of char either. Also, the bacon was really thin and while the jack cheese was gooey, their cheddar is way better. -- CLASSIC FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH (from the Bird)...$10.75 WTF was this? The one I had at the Bird in SoMa was great; this was not. While we both thought the bun and slaw were fine, the fried chicken was terrible - the batter wasn't crispy (part of it felt almost rubbery/spongy) and the chicken had a sort of stringy texture to it. Despite how convenient this Super Duper may be, especially whenever I'm out this way to do shopping (there's tons of parking), I don't know if/when I would come back again. I certainly won't be getting the fried chicken sandwich again if I do (and perhaps anywhere else), but even the Mini Burger wasn't as satisfying as usual. Given how well all of my past visits have gone, I might just stick to my usual go-to Super Duper in Laurel Village, though I'd still like to check out their recently opened spot in the Inner Sunset. THREE AND A HALF STARS for the two burgers and fries which I would round up for, but rounding down just because of the fried chicken sandwich.
