Usual go-to is the SALMON PLATE. Tried the LAMB & BEEF DONER PLATE, lamb & beef Doner over fluffy rice pilaf, side green salad, pita bread and herbal green sauce. The lamb and beef was delicious and well-seasoned, though plentiful, you do just wish there was more anyway - Greedy! Accompanied by the hot, fluffy rice, green salad w/drizzle of the herby sauce. Would definitely order again. The DONER WRAPS in lamb, beef or chicken is quite popular. I'll be back to try the DONER WRAPS and more of a nice variety of BAKLAVA and TURKISH SWEETS! See you there!

But to stay on the good side of healthy, I requested less beef and lamb for more chicken, which was happily accommodated. Between then three meats, I enjoyed the chicken the best. Lots of basmati rice underneath. The side salad was a moist accompaniment to the drier beef and lamb . The salad was zesty with salad dressing served on the side in a little cup. All said, the meats were fresh but bland in flavor. Pro tip: don't ask for a free cup of water here. They won't do that. Boo.. decent hot and fresh food, but I prefer other Mediterranean styles as they tend to be more flavorful to me. Typical shopping mall food court ambiance if you can call it that.. echoey acoustics but reasonable seating all around.

I ordered The Original, which comes with breast and thigh meat with the skin on, fragrant jasmine rice, ginger sauce, fresh cilantro, and a cup of refreshing chicken broth. The portion was generous, the chicken was flavorful and tender, and the ginger sauce tied everything together beautifully. I also tried the Khao Tom Gai (chicken porridge). Although it's served as a side-sized portion, it's packed with comforting, rich chicken flavor. It's simple, delicious, and exactly the kind of dish you'd want anytime of the day. Tasty! The menu is refreshingly straightforward. They focus on doing a few things well, and it shows. Combined with the warm, welcoming service, this is the kind of place that delivers reliable comfort food without any fuss. A solid lunch spot, and one I'll happily return to when I'm craving something simple, satisfying, and flavorful.

I ordered the Chicken Fresh Spring Rolls to go and the wait was about 5 minutes which is impressively quick. The portion was decent and the peanut sauce was genuinely good. The chicken was a bit on the dry side but there was a substantial amount in each roll so no complaints on generosity. Did it meet my expectations? Yes. Did it exceed them? No. And that's okay. If you're on the hunt for great Vietnamese food in San Francisco, this is not your destination. But if you're at Stonestown, short on time, and need something decent to eat without a long wait, Rooster and Rice gets the job done. Sometimes you just need a quick, reliable meal and this place delivers on that.

The portion is very generous, and definitely I could make this shareable. The fries... I'm always on the Outlook for the best fries around, and these garlic fries were absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside light on the inside, and just the garlic flavor was amazing. I love the fact that they just didn't dump some jarred garlic on top of some french fries and call it done. Nope these are the real deal. The staff is friendly and I'm glad that I took the recommendations. The store itself is filled with everything you could possibly want. There is no dedicated parking lot here, so it's hit or miss to find a parking spot close by. My hubby dropped me off while he searched for a place to wait. I was grabbing a KFC bucket meal for our World Cup watch party and had a KFC coupon to redeem. Paulette, the cashier, told me my coupon had expired on July 3rd. I totally believed her until I saw that my husband wrote in black Sharpie pen "July 31" on the coupon flyer. She looked again and realized her mistake. LOL Fortunately we both had a sense of humor about it. Hey, life is too short to get upset over trivial things. Paulette processed my bucket meal with the coupon deal but told me I'd have to wait 15 minutes for the biscuits. I didn't care about the biscuits and asked if they could be substituted with something else. She said no. Okay, I'd wait for them to bake. Heck, I paid for them! LOL Meanwhile, a steady stream of customers came through. At a certain point, I thought my order was ready when Paulette started grabbing freshly baked biscuits. In reality, she was filling other people's orders, so I finally got up to see if my order would be ready soon. Paulette asked me if I wanted to order anything else, and then asked what flavor I wanted, chocolate or lemon. I looked a little confused but said "chocolate". She told me that she would comp me a free chocolate cake because I had to wait so long. I thanked her profusely for her great customer service. I walked out with two heavy bags of a delicious fried chicken meal! Will I return? Sure! I LOVE Kentucky Fried Chicken!!!

There was so little sour cream, not that much corn, not that much fajitas, the guac wasn't much either and I had to dig to find the chicken pieces. I honestly don't know why they don't know how to portion everything correctly. It doesn't make sense because I remember walking into the store and before my order was ready I saw that they had a substantial amount of everything. Also I arrived early before my pick up order was ready, there was no line and the guy working could've at least made my order right then and there so I wouldn't have waited. It doesn't take that long to assemble the bowl.....so he told me to wait and i went out to get some air and came back. Tbh it's better to place your orders in person and not do order ahead online for pick up, that way u can at least see how much they put in your bowls. Sigh they need to make things right because I feel like I got ripped off for the small portions that I got.
