Having owned and operated a Chevron station years ago, I can assure you the owners (who I do not know personally but seem pretty terrific) want to keep costs down by avoiding waste. You are welcome! This is also a groovy little station on its own merits! They have a fairly decent wine and beer selection (remember, they do not get the same wholesale discount as Safeway, so be kind!). Stations are almost all owned individually. Perfect gas station chicken. We decided to try Krispy Krunch Kricken. Pick up some sides as well. It was ok. The Mashed potatoes taste like KFC. Mac and Cheese is helped with veleeta cheese. The potatoes JoJos was good. The chicken reminds me of,"Churches chicken" You are served by gas attendees. They also warm up the chicken or fried it or whatever. You walk in to the gas station. Look to the right the warm up stand is there. You ordered your food. Then stand in line with some one with a 12 pack of beer and someone filling up there gas tank. It was a rush order because people wanted to get their gas or beer and move on. The attendees tried their best to serve you properly. All in all, the chicken and sides were good. We will be back. I think I may have found my new favorite cheap fried chicken place in the area. Ordered the 8pc dark and 6pc chicken tender meal combo with jambalaya via Uber Eats. The combo is supposed to include a honey biscuit too but it was missing from my order, so deduct a half point there. The chicken arrived lukewarm but still tasted pretty good, if it's piping hot out of a fryer I'd bet it'd be amazing. Both the fried chicken and chicken tenders are seasoned with a heavy hand, but I'm a salt addict so found them flavorful. Others may find them too salty. The fried chicken is thinly battered and the skin crisp and salty which has been my favorite part. Many other fried chicken places have too much of a crispy batter that when you bite into it there's just way too much crumbles before you get to the chicken. The chicken tenders are all white meat and pretty flavorful too, so a great option if you're craving fried chicken but wanted something healthier. The jambalaya is average, quite salty but not terrible and has sausage in it. Considering this place is even cheaper than Jollibee in Southcenter, the taste surpassed my expectation. Chicken was good. Ordered 12 piece family platter. Half chicken and half tenders. It was a lot of food for two adults and 3 kids. Had plenty for two meals. I will say the biscuits were hard. Not sure if maybe they just gave us the last ones that had been sitting under the heater or if their biscuits are always that hard. They were very hard. But the chicken made up for that. Who would have thought that fried chicken from an out-of-the-way gas station could have been this good? We were in Sultan, and heading to Woodinville when hunger pangs struck. We pulled out the cellphone, fired up Yelp and this popped up. A bit skeptical, but it was (sort of) along the way.... Krispy Krunchy Chicken was inside and a part of the gas station. All kinds of alarm bells started going off, but so many Yelp reviews can't be so wrong, right? There were just a few pieces of chicken left in the display, and we wanted their 16-piece dark to take away, and the server refused to sell the what pieces they had there to us!! What?? Turns out the pieces there had been sitting around for a while, and she insisted that they made us a brand new batch. And a new batch of biscuits and potato wedges as well! So, we had to hang around a strange gas station for half an hour. Man, was it worth the wait. The chicken was juicy and tender and crunchy. The blueberry biscuits were to die for. Perfectly sweet and savory to go with the chicken. The wedge-style fries were delicious, light and fluffy on the inside, and still crispy on the outside even after we got to our destination 20 minutes after pick-up. We always get chicken tenders and they're always bomb! The fish is fantastic and the biscuits are so so good. Exceeded our expectations! We were scrambling a bit yesterday afternoon. We were originally planning to order crawfish king but grubhub wasn't delivering to our area yesterday...wtf. Anyways, saw Krispy Krinch pop up in the available options and the wife and I agreed it might hit the spot. When it arrived it was still warm and the chicken was krunchy! OK so I'm gonna give this place 4 stars because I adjusted it for what it is and because the attendant was super kind. So I came in expecting it to be on par with like the top fried chicken places whereas I think it's kinda in the kfc/Popeyes realm. And once you adjust for that, it's quite good. It definitely did not meet/compete with ezells but given the price and convenience, I can give it some grace. The chicken itself was nice and crunchy as people say, even after some amount of transport. However it definitely felt very very greasy. The potato wedges were generally good, got that like curly fry seasoning on it but some pieces were a bit stale potato. The boudin bites were interesting but the outside batter could be better. The inside was nice and flavorful but again could taste the oil in the outside. The Mac and cheese tasted super smooth but almost like Velveeta? A little bland and wish I had a Cajun spice to throw in it. The honey biscuits were super interesting. I love that they have a blueberry one and the blueberry is definitely better than regular to me. But both again tasted a bit greasy even though I thought it'd be baked? The edges were a bit burnt but the center tasted almost like a scone. This is my go-to lunch reward after a hike up north or northeast. I usually split a chicken tender family meal with whoever's with me and order a side or two if we're starving. Maybe because we come during off-peak hours, but I've never had to wait to be served. Anyway, the chicken is always tender and moist. The sauces on offer (which the gas station attendants happily throw in as much as we want) kick the flavor up a couple levels; my favorite is the sweet and sour sauce, because I love pepper and each container has chunks of what had been whole black peppercorns. The batter stays crispy even after some time in the fridge, although obviously it's best devoured once you get in the car. And I've never been to New Orleans, but the boudin bites and the red beans and rice are sure as heck good enough for me! (Almost forgot to add, the biscuits are delicious and superior to, say, Popeye's biscuits, which are already pretty darn good.) Now we come to the main reason for my review, which is that the station attendants are unfailingly nice and generous. I had hiked at the Bridal Veil Falls trail yesterday and came in for my fried chicken reward. I wasn't watching and would have never known, but the attendant told me that she had dropped a biscuit on the floor, and because she didn't have any other biscuits left, she gave us an extra chicken tender. So, shout-out to the Chevron employees who always make sure I get to end my tough hikes with delicious food! Prawns a 3 again fried, dry and no sauce. Mashed Potato and Gravy a 3 the potatoes tasted old to me. Red Beans and Rice respectable a strong 4 edging to 5. I wasn't wowed but maybe cause it was Door Dash took awhile to get here so maybe it lost its soul. I saved most of the food and had it for breakfast cooking it in the air fryer. It tasted better because it was temperature hot. Still closing your eyes you can't tell what's what because of the same spice flavor on everything in my opinion. Our ENTIRE order came with 1 napkin, 1 bbq sauce, and 1 ranch sauce. Any other sauces are .50 cents apiece. For our ENTIRE order.
