Didn't receive my order till 9pm. Estimated delivery was 8pm. Called in at 8:13pm with them claiming it was already out for delivery. Called again at 8:35pm with them saying it went out 3-4 mins ago. Wow, this place is amazing! I've tried several pizzerias in the neighborhood but this one really kills it. I ordered Grandma and Eggplant slides, almost randomly, and they didn't disappoint. The flavors of cheese and tomato sauce are very authentic and fresh without being salty or greasy, and the pizza is soooo crispy. Toppings are tasty too. They also have outdoor seating where you can overlook the view of Hudson River. Suggestion is that the staff here should be more considerate about what costumers need esp. when they come here for the first time. Would definitely visit again to try other ones. read more

Ordered two large pies from here for the Super Bowl. I'm sure they were quite busy so I wasn't surprised they were late in delivering the pizza (~90 mins), what I was surprised at though was how the pizza was cooked. We ordered a vodka and grandma nonna pie. The vodka pie was burnt all along the bottom and the grandma nonna pie wasn't even cooked all the way through. Both pies looked really great when we opened the boxes so it's a shame they didn't taste as good as they looked. No one ate more than one slice of each. This place is overrated and overpriced. I normally don't write reviews like this but I've got to let people know. The presentation of the food was fantastic. The box, pizza smells great, the whole 9. However, the pizza has such a flat taste. I felt like I was eating bread with the most bland tomato sauce on the shelf. I also appreciate that the food wasn't salty but man, we need some flavor, it is pizza after all. This brings me to my final point. The price. I paid around $24 for a grandma pizza and $23 for a veggie pizza. I feel like I threw away my money because it wasn't that good. I was really hopeful for a really good pizza. The only reason I tried this place out was because my main pizza place was having some phone issues. Nonetheless, I wouldn't recommend buying pies here. I have been ordering from here since they opened this location. The food is delicious! But the past 3 times I've ordered, mistakes were made. The first time, the wrong type of pasta was given. I let it go. The 2nd time we ordered a krispy special without olives online and even followed up with a call to make sure that they got the note and we still ended up with olives on our pizza. The woman on the phone said she'd take care of it next time (which she did after I reminded her). Tonight, there were toppings missing from the krispy special and I was asked to take a photo by the same woman. When she received the photo she told me that the toppings were under the cheese, according to the kitchen. They said I should eat it and I'll taste the toppings. I was not trying to pick a fight I was just letting them know they made a mistake and it's their 3rd in a row. My issue is the woman who I've been talking to over the phone -she needs to work on her customer service. She is always defensive. She didn't apologize tonight and said I can bring it back and exchange it for a new one. Why inconvenience me more when the mistake was made on your end??? Delivery order: Ordered up a cheese pizza, half with meatball for delivery early on a saturday evening. I ended up getting a chicken spinach salad too, which was definitely not the highlight, but the pizza was good. Delivery took about 45 minutes and I live pretty close, so be patient! The salad with was solid: lots of fresh, green spinach, but the chicken was not of good quality. It killed it for me. It definitely had that "I've been frozen for a few years" look and taste. Stringy, thinly pounded, no juices whatsoever. The "fresh motz" was cubed and honestly lacked that salty, home made flavor one loves so much in mozzarella; nothing to boast about. The pizza on the other hand was really good for a non-artisanal pie. Way better than the Jersey City options of likes of Helen's and others. Lots of cheese, a very subtle tomato sauce and plenty of toppings. The crust wasn't the best, I like mine more thin and crispy and this is of the chewy varietal, but still good. At roughly $4 dollars a piece and a slice the size of my face, this pizza joint easily won me over. I decided to grab four slices of different varieties to share and each one with the exception of one tasted DELICIOUS. The Palermo pizza slice was hands down the best slice we tried. Great combination of fresh mozzarella, crushed tomatoes and grated Romano. Regretfully, wish I had just done 2 slices of this. EXCELLENT CHOICE! Biggest disappoint was the chicken ranchero. Pizza that is still good even when it isn't. Huh? Lemme 'splain. Yes, their pizzas are damn delish when it's fresh piping hot out of the oven. And yes, they're actually quite 'krispy' (the margarita is the simplest & the best). Their pizzas somehow still retain the crispiness even after delivery. But they're not perfect, such as one time they delivered are rather less than crispy (borderline soggy) pizza. Amazingly enough, the damn thing still tasted VERY GOOD despite of the soft consistency. I really don't enjoy giving bad ratings but feel like I just have to after my last couple of visits. The pizza is actually not bad - I love the thin crust pizza, and their vodka is pretty good. My biggest issues have been with the rolls. The last two times I ordered a roll, the dough inside has been completely raw and uncooked. I even called the second time it happened just to let them know, and I was completely dismissed...no apologies, no follow-up questions, just an "ok" and a hang up. Ridiculously amazing vodka sauce. I think I would eat an old boot dipped in that stuff. The grandma nonna pizza, with pepperoni added, was very good but not amazing. The sauce was especially delicious, but the crust just wasn't quite right texturally and it was felt like it needed a little bit more garlic or salt. Just moved to JC and was inspired to give this a try after seeing Krispy Pizza boxes stacked in the compactor room every other night. It's a pretty good pie, opted for the 'Special' and each slice packs a nice bit of flavor. Definitely diggin the pepperoni though sausage seems a bit sparse. Pizza is friggin huge, which seems to be a thing here in NY/NJ. As for delivery, we are early eaters and live nearby so maybe not the best to gauge average service time. We got our pizza in ~15 minutes and it was nice and hot, so good job :-) Minus 1 star because the pizza wasn't quite "krispy" - I think the thin crust was overwhelmed by all the toppings on the special, and ultimately had to break down and eat it with a fork. My wife was able to salvage hers by searing in a steel pan on the stove top. Definitely gonna try again though, and will try with fewer toppings to see if the crust comes out better. read more

I've lived in Jersey City for 5 years, and have not gotten a hot meal from Krispy's in the handful of times I've tried them. They definitely half-cook or pre-cook their food. Most recently, I got Nonna Pizza, and the entire pie was cold, the crust was stale, and from order to delivery was about 30-35 minutes, not enough for a pizza to get chewy like the state this was in. I called the store and they denied this, and offered no consolation, and almost inferred that I was lying about my pizza being cold. Yea, that's what I do for good times and kicks on a Saturday night... Luckly my order was through GrubHub and they offered a full refund.
