I'm originally from the Bay Area, so this review might seem biased since I've been spoiled with being around many amazing pho places (this rating is based on the pho and wonton). The wontons tasted like cardboard, no exaggeration. Yeah, they don't use msg, but damn, the pho broth was bland as hell and they didn't have the typical variety of different kinds of pho. No flavor at all. The only upside is that they don't use msg and the soup is not oily. One more thing, that previous comment about the pho coming out too fast, that's a stupid, ridiculous comment. Pho noodles are dry before you cook them, they flash boil them and throw in the pre-cooked meat (except the rare steak) after they put it in the broth. Don't listen to that comment about the soup coming out fast, but this places pho was a waste of money. read more

I have been to KT Noodles many time in the past and I have always enjoyed their food. They offer authentic Vietnamese food and friendly service. I always look for the chef's special which is the flaming beef with shrimp. They bring it in a bowl which is literally set on fire. It come with rice paper and everything you need to make your own fresh spring rolls. I have never been disappointed here. My roomie took me here today for lunch since we're her city, and she knows that I love pho! I really like the place (: I'd come back if I was visiting her again! I ordered the pho with beef on the side and meatballs. I like how there are no sizes, just a flat rate with a bowl that is filled to the brim with the pho, noodles, and meat. This is a classic hole-in-the-wall establishment with great food at great prices. Portions are very generous and you can't beat the price anywhere. The restaurant is worn but clean. Most importantly the food is delicious! I went with a friend who doesn't eat anything except meat and starch. Yes, I'm letting you know that because it's funny. The decor is old school, hole in the wall Asian kitsch. That tends to bode well in my experience. I had lemongrass chicken and it was delicious. I didn't try what my friend got, but I was assured that it was the blandness he'd ordered. This used to be called Rice Noodle when they first open many moons ago. My old buddy's family sold this location to the cook. Now it's called K.T. Noodles and the standard isn't the same. My charbroiled chicken was dry and chewy so I know it was sitting around for some time. My calamari and fried butterfly shrimp wasn't even hot and didn't have that same taste that I was familiar with years ago. It's sad for me to give this place 2 star but I know what fresh Vietnamese food should taste like and this place doesn't even come close to par to what should be expected of good fresh Vietnamese Food. read more

My fiance absolutely loves this place and I don't quite understand why? The food is cheap and the service is pretty fast, other than that I don't see any other pros. The meat scares me, I've gotten beef a few times and was not impressed, it was chewy and not too tasty. The pork is a better choice and the wonton soup is pretty good. The wait staff doesn't speak much English so when you ask for changes in your order they usually don't understand and don't do what you asked for. read more

So yummy, and so cheap! The quality of food is always consistent and the portion size is huge. The #53 is my personal favorite. It's charbroiled pork over rice noodles with spring rolls. And as far as the service goes, they have always been really nice to me. To be honest though, it's not fine dining. Considering Rocklin has zero restaurants for authentic asian food (sorry, Panda Express), KT Noodle is pretty good. Their beef pho hits the spot on a rainy day. The meat is tender and flavorful, unlike some of the mystery meat I've seen at other places. And their combo chow mein doesn't skimp on the meats and veggies. Literally my favorite Vietnamese place. Super cheap for a lot of food! Great for us broke college kids, and great for a cheap meal! The fact that it's actually good is a plus. My go to is the 54, but everything I've tried has been excellent. I just wish they weren't closed Sundays! read more

I've been craving pho since my last sojourn in San Jose so I decided to head over to KT Noodles based on the reviews. I ordered the BBQ Pork pho and a side of fried egg rolls. The pho was pretty basic - good broth and a generous amount of noodles and pork, but I was disappointed that they did not provide lime/cilantro/bean sprouts for the pho (granted I didn't specifically ask but most places usually serve them on the side). The egg rolls were good but not especially flavorful. Overall this place will do in a pinch but to satisfy a true pho craving I'll head over to Stockton Blvd. read more

My boyfriend and I ate here for a quick lunch, he got pho and I ordered shrimp in ginger sauce over noodles. The pho was a bit disappointing, without beansprouts or basil or jalepenjos like a lot of places serve, but the ginger shrimp was very good, the egg rolls were just so-so. The menu is a bit oddly organized, with one page of house specials in the middle and one in the back, which i would suggest chosing over the pho, which i would not eat here again. The service is poor, at least as it was at the lunch rush, they are slow to get you your check, and my water never got refilled, but for the price its a decent place to grab lunch. read more

I've only visited once and ordered food to-go, but these Yelpers have it right. I ignored the decor, bridged the language gap, and ordered the bun cha gio (charbroiled pork and egg roll over rice noodles) and a thai tea. Everything was scrumptious! The egg roll wasn't just made of filler-type ingredients, its shell was crispy and delicious, the charbroiled pork was tender, the noodles were perfectly cooked, the accompanying veggies were crisp, and the order and tea were made fresh and were full of flavor. The price is so low and yet they give you so much food; it's almost a steal! Can't wait to go back and try different dishes! read more

If you want real good food at a cheap price, this is the place to go. Locals' favorite! The restaurant's interior look is really outdated but we didn't come in for the design! So my rating is on the food. They serve fresh ingredients, awesome taste, lots of healthy choices, and generous amount. Our favorite is the Chef's special flaming beef & rice wrap, pho, #25, #100, #105, etc...too many to mention. The food is ok. Not to die for or anything. The food is not as authentic as the pho you get in san jose.

The #54 saved my life. It's my favorite meal, and would probably be my last meal request if on death row. With the exception of the one guy that speaks great english, just read off a number or point to what you want on the menu. Making a change to a dish and trying to explain it to the other servers is like ramming your head into a wall, but whatever, the food's so good and it's so cheap it doesn't matter. read more
