Kulturas should be ashamed of themselves, and their approach to customer service. Their social media is a lie. My family, and I have given them four separate opportunities to get it right, so I'm speaking from experience. The "management," Rosa sucks, and has a bad attitude. Probably zero culinary experience, and even less hospitality. She has no willingness to address the fault of her kitchen, or restaurant as a whole. She refused to remake an order that was incorrectly cooked, and this is the 3rd time. She also refused to give restaurant credit, and accused my mother of lying. As if there aren't cameras all around, and digital receipts. I wonder why...So no, you're not sorry. The restaurant overall has poor staffing, insufficient stock to prepare what the menu claims to offer, and that tells me there's even more lacking that we cannot see. How does the bar not have the ingredients to create what's on THEIR menu!?! How do you have shrimp for the pasta, but not enough shrimp for enchiladas...It's ridiculous! I don't know what education this manager has received, but it's clear she needs much more training. Kulturas could be nice, if they fire Rosa, and hire people who know what they're doing. Until then, we will not be back. Either way, if they keep up this behavior, they'll be closed down in no time, like the last restaurant they took over, Kalaveras. You're better off with Javier's in old town, where they know how to act. Also, I'll be contacting the corporate office, if they even have one, because they're beyond basura. We were planning to dine at a Chinese buffet. But they closed on Tuesday. My coworker asked me if I wanted to try this place. Fantastic suggestion. I had ordered Pasta A La Diabla. OMG, it was da bomb. I will order this again if I ever go back there again. But there's one thing I did not like. The waiter tried to pull a fast one. When my coworker said Can we get the bill, he said Sure. Are you paying with cash or a credit card? She then said, Can we see the bill 1st? He said, Oh sure. After I saw the bill, I gave him my card. He scanned it, gave me the credit card, and the machine. I look at it. (There was an option for the percentage of the tips. 18% 20% and I believed it was 30%. Notice the tip was already highlighted 20%). I was so surprised. Since when do they choose for us? Is that why he didn't want to show us the bill? Wow, I have to say, that was so not cool. read more

If you expect good service don't bother coming here. They don't make simple accommodations for their customers. I asked for no pico in my guacamole and they couldn't do it. My husband asked for an egg white omelette and they couldn't do it. I ordered a hibiscus soft serve margarita and they brought me a strawberry one. Also, it's not in the best area. Excellent food and cocktails. The service can be hit or miss sometimes depending on who's working, but overall a good experience and pretty good food. Knocking one star off, because we went during a 95 degree heat wave, and they had all the doors wide open, making it like a sauna inside with no fans or AC running. First and last time! We waiting over an hour for our food to finally get and it and was wrong. I ordered a quesabirria and got Birria plate by itself. When I told our waitress she acknowledged that she made the mistake. Rather than correcting our order she brought me back cheese and expecting for me to make my own quesabirria. She said she was bringing me the cheese since to make the order right we would have to wait an additional hour. To make matters worse our waitress charged me for the more expensive plate. This place was so bad. I got a simple ceviche dish and it did not look or taste like ceviche. The cocktails were watered down and it was so loud. Even with the noise I could tolerate but the food was absolutely horrible. It's has a 4.5 stars but I really don't know how. Were were a party of nine and half of us were so unhappy with our food and returned it. While others felt bad and just left it. I don't like changes, so I was really hesitant to going with the whole name change and remodeling, I didn't know what the quality of the food/beverages or service was going to be, but WOW! Stopped by to catch the Lakers game with some friends and tried a few of food items which honestly blew me away. Started off at the bar cause I was early and tried a tamarindo michelada & their Birria Bites from their secret menu. If you haven't tried them you're missing out BIG TIME! They're crispy like potato balls from Porto's but with Birria and Cheese ‍ Did not know I'd fall in love here lol - then we had a couple different items when my friends showed up which the Pozole Taco really wowed me. I didn't know what to expect but the server/manager Cristina mentioned it was worth trying and she was not wrong! Great flavor and super creative! Outside of the great food and drinks - the place is almost always playing any sports games (and they'll change the channel if you ask) and great music. My family and I were seeking a place for brunch, since my brother said he has passed this restaurant many times during his commute, we thought we would try it. Came for brunch and found an extensive menu of Mexican food. The place is colorfully painted inside and out. Our server was great in telling and explaining various items that are and are not on their menu. They have an extensive cocktail menu as well. We ordered 3 apps, fresh guac & chips, loaded fries and even dragon roll. All were delicious. We ordered from fajitas, breakfast burger to molcajete, all was terrific. We were told the kitchen was closed even though the restaurant closes at 10. We saw them continue to serve food and asked. We were told it was because the kitchen was behind. They should be able to accommodate and not close the kitchen because they fall behind. We had an interesting experience tonight. My party of 4! was really excited to get these soft serve margaritas and I heard that the service was really good. Our server was Alex. She was really nice in the beginning had great recommendations, but then it took us about 40 minutes to get just our cocktails. On top of that every table around us got their food before us and they got sat 20 minutes after us. In total, we waited about an hour and 25 close to an hour and 45 for our food and appetizers. Alex had said to put all our food in all at once that way our food would all comes out faster. She also took about 50 min just to check up on us and the minute that she saw we didn't get our drinks and or food it seemed like everything started coming out all at once. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING 10/10 service though was very questionable... keep in mind. We are also all servers. read more

By far the best place to get a margarita flight! I had both margaritas on the rocks and their new soft served margaritas. For four different flavor, EACH flight, AND at a reasonable price I was amazed. The food was amazing too! The service was incredible. I went on a friday. Third time at Kulturas this month. Came for taco Tuesday this time and it was great! Grew up in San Diego and have had a lot of really good tacos in my life and will say that tacos at Kulturas are actually really good (for the price of $1.99 ea on taco Tuesday). The salsa bar was super fresh and the staff kept replacing it whenever any of the ingredients were 2/3 full. Salsa tasted really good as well. I haven't found a satisfying taco Tuesday spot ever since the start of the pandemic that is good and cheap, but Kulturas finally filled that craving for affordable and flavorful tacos. Btw I've been to Kalaveras and did not like it at all, so I'm really happy Kulturas took over this building and made everything so much better. The drinks and the food tastes much more elevated. So for those that have been to Kalaveras and didn't like it, I would def give this newer Mexican eatery another try. read more
