This place was so yummy. Decided to go for Mother's Day without a reservation and although they did tell me that there would be a wait, it was not long at all. While we waited they had a whole setup with infused water. Once we were seated our server was friendly and service was fast. From the alcohol margaritas to their guacamole and tacos, delicious! Would definitely come back. Even my kids enjoyed the food. Best part was that they handed every mother roses. Thank you to all the wonderful servers and cooks!

This was my first time trying this restaurant. Inside, you have nice vacation vibes. They had a band playing that sounded great. Service was good. The manager and our waitress were very attentive. I tried the Asian wings and a crane asada taco both of which were very good and made fresh to order. Everything was hot and tasty. Parking can be a little difficult due to the small parking lot. They have a nice cute small bar and many different margaritas. I had the Jamaica margarita ice cream drink, and it was beyond delicious. Next time I am going to try the margarita flight. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to hang out with friends and family.

Food and drinks were 10/10!!!! My best friend and I drove all the way from SJ to try these soft serve margaritas (we kept seeing them on our FYP). We came around 4/5pm and were seated right away. Staff came to check on us regularly and food came out fast. We enjoyed the chicken enchiladas verde and ceviche. Everything tasted so fresh and the soft serve margaritas were so delicious. They have outdoor and indoor seating. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. I will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in LA again.

I came here Saturday night with my best friend and husband to celebrate my bestie's birthday! We knew coming on a Saturday would be risky as it could pose a long wait. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be an hour and a half, but we sucked it up since we didn't have a reservation. Luckily, we only waited about 45 minutes! We're thinking a lot of people that put their name down didn't and up waiting so we got pushed up the list! However, when we were seated, our service wasn't the best :( don't get me wrong, our server was nice but she didn't check up on us or any of the orders she placed. She got my best friend's drink wrong even after correcting her. She ordered a Malibu & coke and our server repeated back "Mexican coke" and we immediately corrected her. However, after about 15 minutes of waiting, only my best friend's drink arrived and they brought her a Coca Cola bottle lol. My drink was completely forgotten about and we had to remind our server. I didn't want to continue reminding our server as it was quite busy and I had assumed maybe things were just taking much longer than anticipated. However, our entrees came out before our appetizer! We ordered the nachos and they never came up. I was pretty bummed out because I ordered the ceviche as my entree to balance out the heaviness from the nachos but they never came :( After all of that, I didn't really want to order anymore drinks because of how long mine took and how my best friend's drink got messed up . But I really wanted to try the soft serve flight. Sad. However, I will say the ambiance is nice. There's a party-like vibe and we had live performers our night singing Latin music. I definitely want to try this spot one more time maybe on a weekday to see if it maybe it was just a bad day for us, but I'm hoping we get a better experience!

Upon entering I noticed this place was busy that night, however my party was able to be seated quickly for the reservation that we had made. Service 1/5 I understand that it might've been slammed that night; but my party had been sitting at our table for over 1.5h, fixed a whole car, and witnessed the fire department/PD clean up a car accident at the intersection, and still had not received our food. There was no refilling of chips as we waited and minimal checking in and communication. Food 1/5 After waiting being at the restaurant for almost 2 hours with no food, our food came cold. I ordered 2 tacos, both of which were very disappointing. The tortillas tasted like they were grocery store bought as they were dry and lacked flavor. The meat was also super bland and cold. Drinks 3/5 Ordered soft serve margaritas . The consistency was super smooth and felt like ice cream which is nice, but you can expect minimal alcohol taste or feel. The strawberry flavor tasted slightly medicinal. They said the mango was going to take a 20 minute wait. Had we known we were going to be there for 2 hours we would've also ordered it. Parking: Free small lot in the back, street parking on the side. Overall the hype of the soft serve margaritas is not enough for me to come back.

Oh darn.... I didn't think I would have to write this kind of review but this is one of a kind. Came here at 8 PM and didn't get served till 10 PM. I saw a whole car crash happen in front of me from beginning till end (the whole scene was completed and cleaned up) and also had to call triple A to come and fix my friends tire since it was flat. All of that happened AND the food still hadn't come yet. We were sitting here for over and half for like 2 tacos and 1 enchilada. When the food finally came though... I took a bite of the Enchilada and it was literally cold. The shrimp was cold. I just couldn't be here anymore to continue eating. At first, this place was really cool and I liked the soft serve margaritas and I was like dang this place is super cool vibes. The food and waiting time was what killed me. Don't get me wrong, I think the food CAN be really good, but the fact I ate a piece of cold shrimp, it ruined my mood completely. Idk if I should recommend this place or not, but be aware of the waiting time.

Stopped by Kulturas in Pasadena for a solo lunch and really enjoyed it. Service was good and everything felt easy and welcoming. I had the enchiladas and a drink and both were solid. The food is super vibrant... honestly some of the best presentation I've seen. Flavor-wise, not the best enchiladas I've ever had, but still good and worth trying. They've got plenty of seating with both patios, which makes it a nice spot to just sit and relax for a bit. Overall, good experience. I'd go back.

The day I went which was my first time there the cooked had called off so we were told the wait was longer than usual. My sister and I stuck it out and ordered drinks while we waited. We had the slush margarita flight. So good!!! And a Bloody Mary. Besides it being hella spicy it was refreshing. The food was eh. I had the tacos dorado tinga and shrimp. The shrimp was pointless because it barely had any in there but the tinga was delicious. I would go back but only for like happy hour or if they have specials because it's kind of over priced for the quality.

After reading reviews and trying this place out, the reviews are very consistent about the service and wait times. And unfortunately that was my experience too. I had a reservation and did get sat pretty quickly, once sat a waitress walked by us several times and made no eye contact nor helped us. About 20 minutes later a waiter appeared and said he was new, and took our order as we had plenty of time just sitting there waiting. 20 minutes later our appetizers arrived, 40 minutes later our margarita soft service flight arrived. Then our food arrived shortly after that. I noticed my flight was missing one flavor and I had two of the same flavor, when I brought it to their attention they said sorry one flavor wasn't working ( some communication would have been nice ). The food was really good, my table shared a dragon roll, ceviche, carne asada, tacos and enchiladas. All the food was very tasty, and the food is definitely the reason I will he back. We sat outside and the ambiance and shade was nice. Small parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking on sierra madre. Overall this place really can be something excellent, but they need to clean up on their service and food and drink wait times.

I always past by this restaurant and say "I want to eat there". Well, that day finally arrived and we came and ate here. I had no idea where the entrance of the restaurant was, so we entered through their front patio. The entire place is vibrant and the music they were playing over their sound system was lively! We were greeted right away and the server, Giovanni, gave his recommendations because it was our first time there. They have mocktails that were delicious! Brunch starts at 10am! Great menu choices, made it really tough to choose. My husband got their chicharon tacos that he said was amazing pork belly that was seasoned very well! I got their breakfast burger and it came with crispy fries. The food was plentiful and the plating was just as vibrant as their restaurant. They have taco Tuesday for $2 tacos! We will be back one of these Tuesdays to try it! I also saw that they have a coffee flight, so if you're a coffee lover, you should try that!

Came here with my friends for a fun Friday night! We have been dying to try the soft serve margaritas. The margaritas were pretty good but it didn't taste or feel like any alcohol was in it. The food came out super fast and was pretty delicious. I was quite surprised because I did not like Mariposas (their sister restaurant). The potato tacos were really tasty. Esta chido! For sure. Was looking for a Mexican spot to eat around my neighborhood and this popped up. I've passed by many a times and it always seems like a lively spot. And it is. Very family-, group-, and date-friendly. Staff is friendly and attentive. Inside is spacious, clean, and organized. The food? Superb. Nothing out of the ordinary is on the menu, but the food is crafted well and tastes fresh. A lot of places overseason and some of the dishes are too salty. And the sides like rice are overcooked or stale. Theirs is fluffy and tasty. Attention to little things like these are what matters and sets them apart. Sunday night here was karaoke night and man do they have some singers here! What a festive time. Baile y todo! Saturdays I was told has live music and I can only imagine how fun that would be. Ordered the enchiladas chile verde with chicken. Delicious and filling. Would order again! There's a small but tidy bar up front for those who just want a cerveza or one of their many cocktails. This is a legit place! Oh, and the chips and salsa are complimentary! Vamos!

This place is terrible we were eating ordering drinks When after 1 hour they told us we can't order anymore drinks and had to leave. They claimed they had a sign up saying they are only able to serve every table for 1 hour in a half which wasn't true . What an amazing experience. My first time coming to Kulturas. Was planning on going for brunch but decided to come on Cinco De Mayo instead. I'm glad that I did. The ambience really gives that Mexico Cantina feeling. The art work is outstanding. From the moment you walk in. The hostess Christina was so kind, patient and accommodating. Not to mention she was helping out the staff on the floor as well as making sure she greeted us with kindness. My server Joselyn was so kind. She knew that it was my first time, so she took the time and explained the menu, although it was busy she still put in the effort & Very pleasant. We were planning to dine at a Chinese buffet. But they closed on Tuesday. My coworker asked me if I wanted to try this place. Fantastic suggestion. I had ordered Pasta A La Diabla. OMG, it was da bomb. I will order this again if I ever go back there again. But there's one thing I did not like. The waiter tried to pull a fast one. When my coworker said Can we get the bill, he said Sure. Are you paying with cash or a credit card? She then said, Can we see the bill 1st? He said, Oh sure. After I saw the bill, I gave him my card. He scanned it, gave me the credit card, and the machine. I look at it. (There was an option for the percentage of the tips. 18% 20% and I believed it was 30%. Notice the tip was already highlighted 20%). I was so surprised. Since when do they choose for us? Is that why he didn't want to show us the bill? Wow, I have to say, that was so not cool. read more

I love me a Taco Tuesday at Kulturas!! I've been on Tuesdays and other days all around the quality of the food and service has always been consistent!! I would recommend this place and if you eat beef try the barbacoa it is THE MOST FLAVORFUL BARBACOA I HAVE EVER HAD!!! The orange salsa they have on taco Tuesday and the green salsa they have it AMAZING!!! Stopped by to catch the Lakers game with some friends and tried a few of food items which honestly blew me away. Started off at the bar cause I was early and tried a tamarindo michelada & their Birria Bites from their secret menu. If you haven't tried them you're missing out BIG TIME! They're crispy like potato balls from Porto's but with Birria and Cheese ‍ Did not know I'd fall in love here lol - then we had a couple different items when my friends showed up which the Pozole Taco really wowed me. I didn't know what to expect but the server/manager Cristina mentioned it was worth trying and she was not wrong! Great flavor and super creative! Outside of the great food and drinks - the place is almost always playing any sports games (and they'll change the channel if you ask) and great music. My family and I were seeking a place for brunch, since my brother said he has passed this restaurant many times during his commute, we thought we would try it. Came for brunch and found an extensive menu of Mexican food. The place is colorfully painted inside and out. Our server was great in telling and explaining various items that are and are not on their menu. They have an extensive cocktail menu as well. We ordered 3 apps, fresh guac & chips, loaded fries and even dragon roll. All were delicious. We ordered from fajitas, breakfast burger to molcajete, all was terrific. We plan on coming back soon to try more items. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics of other items. Next time for sure. read more

Third time at Kulturas this month. Came for taco Tuesday this time and it was great! Grew up in San Diego and have had a lot of really good tacos in my life and will say that tacos at Kulturas are actually really good (for the price of $1.99 ea on taco Tuesday). The salsa bar was super fresh and the staff kept replacing it whenever any of the ingredients were 2/3 full. Salsa tasted really good as well. I haven't found a satisfying taco Tuesday spot ever since the start of the pandemic that is good and cheap, but Kulturas finally filled that craving for affordable and flavorful tacos. Btw I've been to Kalaveras and did not like it at all, so I'm really happy Kulturas took over this building and made everything so much better. The drinks and the food tastes much more elevated. So for those that have been to Kalaveras and didn't like it, I would def give this newer Mexican eatery another try. read more

They revamped this restaurant. It use to be Kalaveras which was some what decent but now it's just horrible. The drinks have cheap alcohol and no flavor and the food is not even decent. read more

We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The Dragon Roll was so delicious and unique. The Avocado taco was heavenly. In a light tempura batter, so delicious. My husband had the Carne Asada taco and the Barbacoa taco. Both were very juicy and packed full on fresh homemade corn tortillas. Their house made salsa is delicious . Prices are very reasonable. Our server, Cristina was so helpful and gave us lots of suggestions since it was our first time. Parking was great they have their own lot. read more

Came for the birthday celebration, stayed for the food, and somehow left impressed Kulturas truly delivered--from the exceptional food and drinks to the warm, attentive service. Even I have to admit, it was a great experience all around. Cristina and the entire team went above and beyond, and the mariachi added a special touch that made the celebration feel even more memorable. After reading the reviews and seeing other people had the same dining experience as us. Just please avoid this location , the Kulturas location in Ontario is 100% way better. We waited over an hour & half for our food ! there was 3 other parties next to us & they all left because of how long it was taking. They keep seating people even though they know their kitchen is backed up ? You guys need to hire some more cooks/ staffs if you're going to be promoting a popular drink all over social media. The food was not good after waiting for so long. Nothing compared to the experience i had at the Ontario location. Don't waste your time dining here. read more

Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. Absolutely delicious!!!!!! They have soft serve margaritas !!!!!! I've been calling around to see who around me serves them or who could and they were the only ones that were down to try. Literally after my call they bought the machine and less than 3 days already had test batches & samples out. I'm so incredibly proud of them!!!! Had an amazing experience in this family own mexican restaurant. And the soft serve was so good I'm coming back for whenever they drop new flavors!!! The one I had was strawberry and lemon and it didn't really melt in the hr & half i was there as shown in the second photo. I've always drove by and the building is iconic so I'm glad such incredible people and place are the first to serve soft serve margaritas in socal (actually in all of California). The food was incredible too and my dad is a chef so I never really liked mexican restaurants since they can never match him but they did an incredible job. My kids and I went to Kultura's for dinner, and we had a great experience overall. The restaurant has a vibrant Latin atmosphere, with beautiful murals that reflect the culture and add a lot of character to the space. There was plenty of parking, which made getting in and out easy. Our servers were amazing--friendly, attentive, and helpful. There was even a group singing traditional songs, which added a fun and festive vibe to the evening. We ordered the mole and the green enchiladas, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the portions were generous. The only downside was that the restaurant was nearly empty, even though it was a Friday night. It's surprising, given how great the food and service were. I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at KULTTURAS! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The food was exceptional -- every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We especially loved the ceviche, which was perfectly seasoned. Terrible! Terrible service. From the moment I walked in it felt very unwelcoming. The hostess at the entrance made me feel like I was interrupting her conversation with her coworker. Attitude from the start. After I don't mind waiting for service but we waited 40 minutes with no acknowledgment at our table. No one even knew who was serving us. I also made a reservation only to be told they only have outside available with attitude. We waited outside there was no heaters and we were in the cold so we had to ask twice to get a heater. This place has become one of my favorite brunch spots. Their pancakes are so good and different from the usual because they're baked. Super fluffy and soft. Knocking one star off, because we went during a 95 degree heat wave, and they had all the doors wide open, making it like a sauna inside with no fans or AC running.
