I use their app, it definitely helps because it cuts down on waiting. Since its summer and its been hot, they have been very busy. Its hard to try different drinks because I stuck on boba, but I managed to try some of their slushies. My last trip I got a pina colada. Its delicious. I mean it tasted just like the alcoholic drink youll miss the rum. The service is always great. They are fast and friendly, I love their menu and how they are always expanding it. I love Kung fu bubble tea! So good! This is probably the 5th time I went to this location this month. I usually go to the one in the outlets but when I found out there was one in Germantown? It was a Wrap!!! The customer service is great! And this location has board games you can use to do a little game night meeting with a friend. Super cute! I love how you can adjust the sweet and ice amount inside your drink! I have tried the taro teas and it's good and the Ice tea with the jellies are so good!!! I only had one experience where the bubbles in my black milk tea were slightly firm. If the bubbles are fresh? It will be super soft and that's the best way to get your tea!! I am definitely going to come here weekly! The prices are like Starbucks so be prepared lol but it's worth it if your craving bubble tea of lychee jelly drinks. I've been here numerous times since they've opened and they have definitely shown improvement and consistency. The staff is friendly and the wait times are never too long. Even though they're setup in the eatery they still offer the full KFT menu unlike the kiosks in Montgomery and Tyson's Corner mall so that's a plus. Lately, our go to drinks have been oolong milk tea with bubbles and mango green tea. We also tried the new Thai iced tea, which was also good, but apparently it's now in short supply within the company so they can't sell anything larger than a medium cup. read more

I grew up in Rockville, but I have been living in cities less into bubble tea culture. I was back home visiting and we came to do some outlet shopping. My SIL demanded we stop at Kung Fu Tea. I am out of the loop on all the bajillion customizable options at tea places now. My old school order at Ten Ren's was "almond black". I decided to keep it simple with almond milk tea and bubbles. The service here was fine. It was midday on a weekday so the place was dead, honestly. The tea was meh for me. It wasn't bad, but not amazing either. I don't know understand the hype. I'll start off by exposing why I am giving it 3 stars. It's more on the customer service side of things. I've been here a few times and I always seem to get the older man. I'm sure he is a nice guy but his customer service skills are lacking. Now, onto the drinks. I usually order a Honey Milk Tea or the Honey Black Tea with bubbles. I was here right at opening, placed an order and was told the bubbles aren't cooked yet. I understand that they just opened but I would imagine the bubbles should start cooking an hour before opening since he told me that it would take an hour to be ready. Updating my review to 1 star. I asked for Matcha milk Strike. Was rung up for matcha milk and then confirmed by the woman working yesterday about it being the strike milk. I get home after having half of it.. and I run to the bathroom. I'm allergic to milk, doesn't stop me from having things with milk in it. But, I have no idea what that lady put in this drink. It's not the milk strike I've gotten at the Rockville and Arlington locations. I will absolutely, not come back to this location. I'd also like to put out a possible warning for those who visited on 12/19/18. I got very sick from this drink, not sure if it was just me. L-O-V-E this location because it's in a fairly open food court NOT under an escalator near automated garage doors getting in the ways of folks walking in and out while waiting for an order. They make their slushes too watery back about last year and used to have more of a sludgy ice texture now it just feels like a melted snowcone that I'm drinking. I went initially on Tuesday earlier this week and ordered a piña colada slush but there was no slush today I pass by and figure it's a different employee. It's like this, I ordered off Kung Fu Tea's app and was messaged a five minute wait. There is no point ordering online because you have to queue up, as I did for 15 minutes. When I reached their counter, the tea maker said he lacked the ingredients to make my teas. Though he promised a refund I was billed anyway and a complaint I filed with Kung Fu Tea was not answered. Long story short: NEVER use the mobile app at the Clarksburg outlet. If you want their product that badly, line up. My sisters and I were so excited to know that this open because it is closer than the Rockville location. So we came here over the weekend just to get our drinks. The line was quite long. However, the drinks are so bad. I usually order the Taro green tea with less sugar, no bubbles/toppings so I ordered the same here but this time with 0% sugar. When I got my drink, I was thinking why does my drink looks darker than usual and with tiny black powdery texture in it. I drank my first sip, I had pieces of leaves in my mouth. I looked towards the bottom of my drink, tons of leaves pieces blend with my drink.. I didn't ask for leaves as my topping... :( My sisters ordered Caribbean Breeze Slush and Longan Jujube tea both with little sugar and less iced. They ran out of Caribbean Breeze Slush and asked if she want banana instead. She didn't want the banana so she asked for mango. Mango was $1 cheaper and they didn't even mention that which is fine but they didn't even apologize for running out of that drink. As for the Longan Jujube tea, it was way too sweet and too much iced. Overall, I would not recommend this place. I am not sure if I would come back, not anytime soon. We had passion fruit green tea with Mango pop bubbles and honey black tea with mango pop bubbles. Passion fruit tea was tasty the honey black tea was so sweet though it was almost undrinkable. I stopped by this Kung Fu Tea during the grand opening, and came back the following week. I was very shock that it was not busy. It's located inside the food court. I came during the week day, and it was dead in there that I heard crickets. Usually most Kung Fu Tea are busy but this location wasn't. I always order the usual Taro Slush at 70% less sugar, and my friend ordered the regular Taro Slush. When our order was ready for pick up, they mixed up our drinks. He wasn't sure which one was 70% less sugar so I had to drink both to figure it out. Then I went back today, I ordered several drinks and the cashier kept mixing up the order again. The order had to be repeated several times. I understand they just opened, but recommended everyone need additional training to get familiar with the drinks and better customer service. Overall, the drinks they made taste the same like every Kung Fu Tea I've been to. UPDATE: I came back to Kung Fu Tea and they were able to treat a friend and myself to a complimentary drinks for their mistake. They were very apologetic for it. I love Kung Fu Tea! I usually can't decide if I want the Bubble Milk Tea or Taro Slush or Lychee Punch. Those three are my absolute favorite. I was at this place during their grand opening and the staff there were so nice, even though I could tell they were just overwhelmed by the crowd! First of all, I was rudely greeted by your employee who is named Jeff. I did not feel comfortable because he acted very hostile and moody. Secondly, throughout the transaction, Jeff gave us a huge attitude, In which I found to be very unprofessional. With all the Kung Fu Tea areas I've been to, Clarksburg seems to be the worst one out of all because of my customer experience with Jeff. To top it off, when we got our drinks we were confused at first but we realized we had gotten the wrong order of drinks. I didn't want to be the customer who complains so we just left from there. 0/10 would not recommend making any transaction with Jeff. I've never had this kind of customer experience before. I've worked retail before so I know what kind of position that they're in but Jeff seems to be very arrogant. I'm sure all the other employees are nice and kind. I have been to many Kung Fu Tea shops before, but this one gave me a very unique experience. This KFT is different from the one in Rockville, Montgomery Mall, and Downtown Silver Spring. This KFT gives their customers an AMAZING experience. I was greeted with smiles and my drink was made perfectly! A worker with a nike visor at the cash register gave me very nice service and the barista's were very professional.
