Her exact explanation was that she "only had 4 more rolls." She would not remake the sandwich, would not replace the bread, and would not even let me PAY for an extra piece of bread. When I showed her the sandwich and asked how I was supposed to eat it, she sarcastically told me to "put the bread back on the sub and eat it." The most unbelievable part was the refund. After refusing to replace a piece of bread or remake a clearly defective sandwich, I was offered a refund. When I went to the register, I was refunded exactly $1.00 on a $36.00 order and handed a receipt showing the refund amount. At that point it felt less like customer service and more like I was being mocked. The issue wasn't the damaged bread. Mistakes happen. The issue was the complete refusal to fix a very obvious problem, the dismissive attitude, the sarcastic response, and then the insulting $1 refund afterward. I've always thought Firehouse Subs was known for good customer service, but this experience was the exact opposite. Management should review how customer concerns are being handled at this location because this was unacceptable.
