Just came here with my roommate tonight and it was absolutely wonderful! When we walked in, the hostess let us know they were about fully booked. I would of loved to give this place 5 stars the restaurant is clean and modern they have a menu that has a little something for everyone and my food was great but the staff is terrible. There was a group of young girls at the hostess stand laughing and whispering about different people who were dining at the restaurant, it really changed the atmosphere back to a high school cafeteria rather than a nice restaurant. My wife and I were stuck in the area for our anniversary so we decided to try this place out. The place was strangely empty during our time there, just after noon on a Sunday. Our visit started out by getting menu's on tablets. Perhaps a good idea in concept, however my wife's tablet for her menu started malfunctioning (likely registering phantom touch points based on the way it was behaving) so we turned it off and on again, which resolved that issue. We also had to angle the tablets to deal with the glare from the overhead light. As a professional technologist, I would be somewhat surprised if they aren't being used by that company or the vendor providing this service for analytics data, if not through the webcam, then otherwise. Either way, I would have felt much better with a paper menu. This place was unfortunately not very friendly for someone with a shellfish allergy like my wife. They fry shellfish and other food in the same oil which eliminates a lot of non-shellfish items from the menu. Something to be aware of if this is an issue for you as well. She was able to get grilled chicken with her meal, however the menu being limited in this way is something that would have been easily avoided as most places we go to don't have this problem with their fried food. I got the Diavolo Pasta, which I believe was supposed to be made with a homemade marinara sauce, however based on it's flavor homemade may have been generous. It smelled and tasted almost completely like spice, not so hot it was difficult to eat, but it was able to easily overpower any other flavor that may have been in the marinara sauce. I won't pretend to have any idea how they make this "Homemade marinara sauce" but based on what goes into making a real good homemade marinara sauce, it wasn't what I was expecting. I would have expected some smell and taste of the tomatoes (ideally San Marzano tomatoes) to compliment the spice, but it tasted more like an almost flavorless food service grade marinara was used, had spice added to it, and was sent out, which resulted in what I can only describe as a blandly spicy dish. Our waitress was fine, and took care of what we needed. We only visited once, if we ever choose to visit again, it is possible we will have a better experience with different food, and ask if there is an option to get paper menus, hence 3 stars. read more

Tried to order for the first time tonight. Placed my order after being put on hold 3 different times, Told they don't have the soup that is on their menu, on their website....the young lady was finally able to nail my order down. All easy to get over. 10 minutes after I place my order a young lady calls me to inform me there is no salmon. So I ask about other items and am put on hold several more times while she tries to find out. Finally I ask to speak with the manager (the manager should have been the one to call me about my order to begin with). Manager Randy gets on the phone (I've been on the phone for 10 minutes at this point) and is completely irritated he has to take a call....I inform him I'm trying to figure out what's available because it seems a lot of what's on the menu is not available. He scoffs and advises everything is available; I advise his staff called me to tell me there is no salmon. He still irritated with me for some reason, puts me on hold and comes back and says "I don't know what these people are talking about, there's salmon" so I go over my order with him and ask him how long. He unapologetically informs me it'll be a other 30 minutes from the original order I made 20 minutes prior. I started to explain why this was an issue, he cut me off "stephanie is this the order you wanted" I asked for his name. Was finally given an apology and told I could talk to his boss the owner Sue and he hung up. Sue if you are reading this, your employees are seriously lacking in not only knowledge of your products but are seriously lacking in customer service skills! Perhaps your staff is uniformed, because their manager is rude and dismissive and that's where they take their cues from. All of this was pretty easy to get over until your manager started saying things like "i don't know what these people are doing" "I just walked in I don't know what's going on" "I'm trying to help you out here"! You and your facility made mistake after mistake and instead if taking any amount of responsibility, you are disrespectful! Your wait time is consistently 5 minutes or less while people struggle to get a table everywhere else. Perhaps customer service is the reason. Food LOOKS good but we will never know, cause I'll eat Taco Bell before I purchase food somewhere that doesn't care about their customers! Bummer. read more

This place has it all: fresh, great food with large portions. I love the almond chicken, rice, and salad. The bread they service is thicker and a bit sweet; add the butter to really make it worth it. Not sure why there are any reviews less than four stars for this restaurant. I'll give it a 5 myself. My family went here for Mother's Day. Every single thing we ordered was delicious and fresh and I can't wait to go back. Let's get into some details... The meal started with fresh warm bread and the menus were on tablets, which made it really easy to browse. You had to click on an item to see the price, so that's maybe one thing I would change, but it was really cool and convenient. Our meals came with soup or salad. Hubby got the house salad and I got the Ceasar salad. The house salad is pretty simple, but the dressing is so flavorful that I want to put it on everything. Ceasar was great too, but could use some croutons. Still, very good. For our entrées we got the Almond Chicken, Chicken Parmesan, and our son had the chicken nuggets with fries. Our son's meal was very good, and it was nice to see a restaurant not skimp out on the kids food. A lot of places you go they give you really low quality food in the kids meals, but not here. I would eat these chicken nuggets all the time, and the fries are cooked and seasoned to perfection. My almond chicken was fabulous and plentiful. The vegetables were cooked wonderfully and (once again) seasoned nicely. Some of the other reviews I read said the chicken was dry and they barely gave you vegetables, so I want to address that... The chicken is thin but very moist, and I actually really loved it. There were plenty of vegetables, not tons, but certainly enough. The pictures posted on here made it seem that the portion was small, but I had plenty of food and I like to eat! Maybe they've upped their portions? My husband also loved his Chicken Parmesan, and I'm almost certain that pasta is made fresh. I've never tasted pasta like that in my life. I wish I would have taken more than one bite. Now, onto dessert... It was Mother's Day so I splurged, but whatever day you eat here, order dessert. :) The desserts are not made in house (I asked), but they come from a really nice bakery and must be made with pure love because they are yummy! Hubby got a very chocolately cake and it went quick. Haha. I shared the Lemon Berry Mascarpone cake with my son. It was so light and airy and perfectly sweet. Simply scrumptious. I am looking forward to returning here and you should give it a try too. Maybe this was just a good day? But I doubt that. Family-friendly restaurant with a great selection of food. Everything we ordered from hummus with steak to the L.A. salad was unique with bright and well-balanced flavors. I especially enjoyed the chicken-lemon rice soup, it had the perfect combination of shredded chicken and rice in a nice light broth (not like typical lemon rice soup that's super lemony with an overwhelming amount of rice). My husband and I were ecstatic to find out that L.A. Bistro was now open in Canton because we liked the Dearborn location and we don't have to drive all the way to Dearborn for good halal food anymore. We quickly realized, after dining here a few times, that's this location is even better than the Dearborn one. The interior design and ambience is absolutely gorgeous! Everything is clean and little details, like the candle lights on each table, the convenient electronic menus, the photo area for guests outside the restrooms, and even the marble top sinks in the restroom areas are what make a restaurant go from good to excellent. The owner goes above and beyond to fix any issues and make sure the guests are happy with their dining experience. They have a fantastic catering menu and a private area to host any event. I've tried many of their scrumptious dishes and some of my favorites include the Portobello Chicken Rice Bowl, Chicken Alfredo, Spaghetti Bolognese (which I request to be made spicy), Portobello Steak Baguette, Firecracker Shrimp appetizer, Chicken Lemon Rice Soup, Caesar salad, and the Chicken Piccata. I recommend parents bring their children here as well because they have an adorable kids' menu and they're very accommodating towards the little folks. This was our first time to the canton location, we came for my BIL's birthday. We have been to the Dearborn location and I feel that location is overall better. The ambiance of this location is nice, the setting is nice, it has a very fresh clean look.. the menus are on tablets, that's a nice feature, I wish every item had a picture attached to it, but only a few of them do. The salmon was okay, the buffalo pizza was good, the almond chicken was ok.. but I feel the rice had veggies in it at the Dearborn location so it felt like something was missing.. the firecracker shrimp was good.. the waiter made it seem like it would knock my socks off.. I didn't get that vibe.. but it was good.. the hummus was alright- a little different than your normal hummus. The bread was nice, soft and fluffy.Bruschetta was average.. portobello was okay.. for dessert they had everything laid out on a tray so it was nice to visually see it all.. the presentation of the cheesecake was nice! Service was good, lots of veggie options, the manager came by to greet us midway of our meal which was nice.. overall the place is nice and kid friendly, plenty of parking. read more

Came here on the way home from visiting a friend. Host was very friendly. My waiter came over immediately and brought me water. I told him I wanted pasta, he explained all the pastas, in full detail. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese, it came with a delicious side of Cesar salad and these delicious little bread pockets. The spaghetti was delicious, the sauce was homemade, which I loved. My waiter, Gabriel, was so professional and so friendly. He was always right there when I needed something. He really is an amazing waiter. I look forward to coming back here, when I'm in Canton . Got carry out last week and it was REALLY good, so we had to dine in to get the full experience. VERY happy that they have a kids menu so the kids have options, and the regular menu is on point! My husband had the chicken portobello baguette and I had the sriracha chicken wrap. Both were amazing!! Visiting from Florida. Looked at ratings so We decided to give them a try. We were very pleased with the service and the food. Pasta dishes were very good and my daughter's shrimp lobster roll was excellent. For appetizers we had calamari which for me was a little chewy ( I am picky about calamari) but the bruschetta was very good. For dessert we all had cappuccino, all excellent. Glad to see a unique family owned restaurant opened in Canton. The menu is kind of fusion mashed between Mediterranean and Italian. The restaurant is very large with 220 seats and a separate dining area that can accommodate private events. I like the tablet menu with drill down capabilities. A list is presented to you, and you can click on an item to view details such as price, description, even a picture with some of the dishes. If they run out of something, it will disappear from the menu so you'll never order something just to be told "sorry we don't have that today". We liked the bread. It's more dense than the normal pita bread, and it's cooked in cast iron molding, so the color is much darker. Some people might think it's burnt but it's not. It has a nice smoky flavor. Chicken lemon rice soup was excellent, light, lemony, refreshing. Firecracker shrimps were very good, sweet, tangy, spicy, good size shrimps. Almond chicken was good. The cream sauce had a buttery taste, very comforting, and the portion was generous. Chicken parmesan was not too bad. The chicken breading was light, and it was cooked well, but there was only one piece of chicken, felt a bit light on the portion. They gave you plenty of linguine, but it was over cooked dry pasta, nothing special. Although I was happy with it because I didn't really have high expectations on the pasta. We had turtle cheesecake which was pretty good. You can see all their desserts displayed on a tray by the entrance. They all looked pretty good but they were probably from a bakery. The owner stopped by and talked to us for quite a while. He put a lot of thoughts in the layout, decor, menu, and training of the staff. They're still at the soft opening stage. He said they'll have smoothies, Espresso, and he's trying to get BYOB approved. We look forward to that and dining on the patio in the summer.
