I got a popup on my phone for BOGO for this place, and after driving there they wouldn't honor it. Apparently they are franchises and not required to honor. I was really loooking forward to trying it and leavng a review, but we walked out when they wouldn't honor it and ate next door at Pho Minh and will write a review for it. Manager responded below just stating only select..like i said, franchises can either honor or not...this establishment does not honor and i recommend you stay away from locations that do not honor promos by the company that pays for the advertising of the promo. Came here during the week last week. I had been meaning to come here for awhile, but finally made it out. As I entered, to the left was the seating area, while to the right side was the fountain drinks and condiments and the ordering area/cashier was straight ahead. I was the only one in there and at the time, there was only one person manning everything...the register and the cooking. Although it was just the one, he assisted me quickly with ordering and got to cooking right away. Service was quick with this gentleman.. I ordered the Chicken Katsu plate to go. There was a scoop of mac salad, a couple scoops of rice and a generous portion of Chicken Katsu that was cooked perfectly. With the rising costs of things, I get the price being that it is but it helps for the amount they serve you. The restaurant was clean and service was excellent. I came here on a weekday when it wasn't crowded, which is ideal for me. I ordered takeout. My order was packaged nicely and accurately. They have the best deal for spam musubi! We came here today to have a nice somewhat healthier option dinner . We got the bbq chicken plate with veggies and rice . Plus a side of mac salad . The veggies legit tasted like they came out of the freezer into the microwave - terrible . The chicken was a big portion but same thing tastes like rather not so fresh chicken- blend and chewy . The rice was dry and so sticky almost like it was in the rice cooker for to long or reheated to many times . Being from Oahu, I grew up eating at L & L and was very excited when this location re-opened. I have the L & L app and signed up for their Shaka reward program. But was disappointed when I made a purchase and when I told the cashier: Denise about it, she informed me that they don't have a scanner and it applies only on online orders. I ended up going to the app and had to manually add the purchase information to get points. I went on L & L website and filled out there "Contact Us" form to get clarification on why the points program only applies for online orders. It does state the following on the L & L website when you click on "Learn More" for the app: "Earn points & redeem rewards! Earn A points for every visit and redeem those points for free stuff!" read more

Ordered Katsu Curry and it was perhaps the most bland thing I'd ever tasted. What's worse is that the flavorless curry completely destroyed any crunch to the katsu. When we walked in we were the only ones there. We ordered katsu plate, spam masubi, drink, and garlic shrimp plate. We went to grab our drink and there was no ice and the drinks weren't coming out. She said oh sorry and had to turn it on and said we don't have ice. So we drank warm soda. It would've been nice to offer us a cold bottled one from the fridge instead! After that we waited awhile which is fine, but we would see the cook on his phone. It also didn't come out that warm? The flavors were a bit dull as well. Oh L&L... we REALLY wanted to love you. First off, the owners/staff didn't open this location at 11am. They unlocked the doors at 11:16am and couldn't invite patrons in until 11:30. Once we were able to order, our order took ONE HOUR to complete: from order to delivery. Once we received our food, a side order of malasadas was completely forgotten so we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for those to be ready. When we finally got our order, we were one malasada short of a full order. My husband asked the cashier if we could snag one more malasada for a complete order and they said "well you have to wait then." It took 15 more minutes of us waiting and we got ONE malasada out of it "because we wanted to thank you for your patience." Oh.. honey, no. We just wanted to get a full order! We will NOT be back and please, don't waste your time here. They need more staff, a better work ethic and Big Island BBQ is better anyway. read more

My daily special that I had known was not updated yet and he was really patient with me... I accidentally thought garlic chicken was the BBQ chicken so I told them and they were so kind enough to remake my order for me. My L&L is a bit rusty it seems but, the 2 hardworking gentlemen were awesome! My hubby got the loco moco with scrambled eggs. We really enjoyed it! As a Pacific Islander, L&L is the closest I get to having the food from my island. I treat myself to such unhealthy but delicious food from time to time and expect nothing less when it comes to L&L. Not for this location though. What in the actual.....? My order was: Chicken Katsu Curry (curry on the side), Lumpia, and Malasadas. Chicken Katsu was bland, Mac Salad was bland. Curry sauce? Hella salty. The Lumpia was on point but let's be real, it tasted like the one you buy at Seafood City Supermarket and cook yourself. Truly, I believe it was from there. Now, let's discuss the Malasadas. What in the actual....? The donuts were blackened, definitely burnt that it made the sugar look like it was cinnamon sugar. Oddly enough, while there was sugar on the donuts, the donuts were bland. Having the sugar on them, the sweetness was absent on these donuts. I bit into them, I had a sponge in my mouth and was wringing out nothing but oil. To worsen the blow, I had a bitter aftertaste that lingered on the palate of my mouth and the tip of my tongue. I tried to drown it out with my fountain soda and it got worse mixing the soda with the oil. Yes, you're right, it was bad because the donuts were fried in days old oil. I am new to this area of Temecula. It was a Friday evening, 7pm, and NO ONE was dining there. I wondered "why" to myself as I waited for my food. Well, there I had it. The experience I had speaks volumes as to why there was ZERO presence in there. The cook needs to lay off the smokes or something because he has lost his taste buds.
