Cute little bakery with a variety of vegan baked goods. Stopped in for the first time today and received friendly and attentive service. I decided to try the raisin bread and a lavender latte and both were really good. Where to begin... exceptional food, service and location. I have to admit, I'm a frequent customer here. Whenever I'm near I make it a priority to stop by. If you go, you must try their award winning croissants, every flavor of macarons, at least one of their extremely creative desserts as well as one of their sandwiches, flat breads and an iced coffee. Make sure to bring a big appetite! I honestly can't even pick a favorite because everything is always so delicious! Also, they make custom cakes! This is my favorite place to eat a late breakfast, or if I'm feeling breakfast at any time during the day! I always recommend their mushroom croissant! It's the BEST. I've tried all the other ones and while they're good, you just gotta try the mushroom! They also have one that has a vegan egg yolk....yup, you read that right. It's unreal! I would recommend this just so you can try it out yourself but don't skip on the mushroom!! I recently had their buffalo chicken ranch flatbread and WOW. I was not expecting that. Highly recommend this especially if you're going to share and you're stuck between breakfast and lunch or it's just that time of day! Now, about their desserts......you don't even know what you're in for. Those sweet croissants....amazing. My favorite is the crème brûlée, hands down. I've tried them all! My husband and I were craving something different this morning. Searching on Yelp, we came across this hidden gem. I love french bakeries but what really caught my attention is that it's vegan. I'm not a vegan but I've been recently warming up to this cuisine so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to continue expanding my pallet. Boy, this place did not disappoint. The vibe. Once you walk through the front doors, it's as if you've left Miami. The decor is warm and welcoming, with french music playing in the background. I wished we had stayed to eat there but we went there for pick up. The food. Portions are generous to say the least. Their main menu has a little bit of everything. I ordered the VTE Croissant and my husband got the Croque Monsieur. Both highly recommend. As far as pastries go, I honestly wanted to try ALL OF THEM. They all look mouthwatering. Alas, we went with the guava and cheese danish. We most certainly will be back to try the rest of the menu and pastries! Prices are fair for the area and again, portions are generous. If you find yourself in Coral Gables and are looking for little Paris, this is a great spot to go! UPDATE: Just tried the guava and cheese pastry. OMG DELICIOUS!!! It's official: L'Artisane is my new favourite breakfast spot in the Gables. So crazy delicious & the fact that it's vegan blows my mind. Today I had the VTE Croissant (Hash brown, sausage patty, just egg patty, shitake bacon, and aji amarillo sauce) with a beautiful side salad. Now THIS is a breakfast sandwich but be forewarned, it's very filling! I ate half & put the rest away for later although I was tempted to eat it all in one sitting, it was THAT good. Every component from the amazing croissant to the "sausage" patty to the "bacon' to the sauce. Just delicious! Side salad was perfect with it. Decided to order a dessert too & went with the Miss Dior (Strawberry & white chocolate mousse, pistachio creamy, strawberry compote and pistachio sponge cake). I've been going to L'Artisane Bakery for a couple of years starting when they were located on North Beach. They've moved now to Coral Gables to a great location. The bakery is bigger with a lot more seating area than at their old spot. This unique vegan bakery has brought a taste of France to Coral Gables without killing an animal. L'Artisane Bakery pastries, especially their croissants, are delicate, delicious and creative. I just got baked goods for take out here but it was SO YUMMY. I got the beef and curry empanadas and the beef was definitely the way to go, super flavorful. The pan de chocolate was really yummy. The guava pastry was a little dry but good. Still haven't gotten to eat everything else but I'm VERY excited. This place is ridiculously cute and I'd definitely go back next time im in Miami. Absolutely the best vegan bakery I've been to in miami and it was only a 10 minute walk from my hotel in coral gables. So I pretty much went every morning and tried a new croissant. Even my dad who is the most picky eater was so surprised that the croissant he ate was vegan. He was sad I didn't have another one for him. I also order the potato chickpea empanada, the "beef" empanada, and the VTE spicy breakfast croissant with a side of home fries. Everything was amazing. The bakery is very basic. There's no real availability for the overall offering. They don't have a good presentation of their products and when trying to call ti order they simply won't pick up the calls. I went directly to the bakery to order a free items and advised them That their number may be not be working correctly. They ignored my comment and instead tried giving me a card w their number. While on the bakery I called to see if any one would pick up and despite the fact that there were 3 people (yes, all helping customers) none took the time to pick up my call (while I was on the location) mir tried calling me back. All they really have is a few items and not whole cakes. Guess they have not yet much of an established clientele. Wish them the best, but there's no reason to go back there. read more

Not so recommended for lunch or when you are hungry as the options are limited on that and will probably end up paying a lot for less food. Absolument Fabuleux The husband found this gem of a place while searching for vegan spots that were near us. We were staying at the fabulous Hotel Colonnade nearby. Apparently, this is the only vegan French bakery in the country! It was a lovely autumn morning for a casual stroll; the sun was out, and it wasn't too hot outside. We easily found the twee bistro, and it was BUSY! As busy as you can imagine a Saturday morning in Coral Gables would be. The line was dauntingly long. I wasn't sure if everyone in line was waiting to be sat, or picking up food for takeaway. Most people in line were speaking French, or other dialects, so they were unable to answer my queries...Welcome to Miami! I made my way to the front of the line, and put our name on a digital list. There was a slight language barrier with sweet ladies working here. I need to take up another language! We were a party of three, and initially found two tops to sit at. This made conversations awkward. The bistro has three booths for larger parties, and I had my eye on them. As our server brought out our beverages (matcha lattes with oat milk), a family in booth number 1 was finishing up, so I quickly snagged it, much to the chagrin of other people waiting to be sat that came in after us. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. We had: VTE CROISSANT : $19.75 Hash brown, vegan sausage patty, Just Egg patty, shiitake bacon & aji amarillo aioli. I had brunch with my brother today at this vegan French bakery and I have to say I left utterly enchanted with it. Legit, they managed to make gluten free vegan macarons in Florida's climate. I'm convinced they're employing a witch or wizard that has studied high magic to make such a thing possible! I'm two weeks into a vegan challenge, so when I saw they had croissants and danishes, I went freaking nuts because I love those. I was actually unsure the whole menu was vegan until the waitress confirmed everything in the restaurant was vegan. So when I got the green light, I ordered all the goodies my heart desired. I had the guava and cream cheese danish, the egg-less croissant, a few macarons (DIVINE!!!), and an iced Americano with a splash of oat milk. They offer a plethora of non-dairy milks which was really nice. My bro had one of the empanadas (I think the potato-chickpea curry one), avocado toast croissant, a cappuccino, and some macarons. The place is a little pricey, but 110% worth it, vegan or not. Seriously, the food was divine. They somehow made an egg yolk out of freaking nutritional yeast. Sorcery, I say! The staff was phenomenal, very friendly, and the parking was doable. I parked today at a spot right in front of the bakery (metered/street parking). I want to go back and try every pastry they offer, the pumpkin spice latte they were out of, and the quiche they were out of as well. Also of note, if you don't want to use their cutlery, they offer disposable, and the straws are not plastic. I will definitely be going back and taking more friends and family with me. P.S.S. Seating is limited, they only had 2 tables outside, and a few inside, but it's worth the wait.
