Multiple people recommended this place to me, so I made a special trip to try the bagels here. The bagels didn't live up to their hype. We ordered a bagel that was supposed to have feta cheese on it, but they didn't have feta, so we got mozzarella instead. The mozzarella was pretty disappointing because it didn't give the same tang that feta does. The bagel lacked flavor and depth. We also got a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese, and that was pretty standard. I'm pretty upset about the egg bagel, but the cinnamon raisin one was ok. Maybe I should have just ordered a different bagel since they didn't have the right cheese. read more

The service here was very poor; one of the cashiers kept telling me to go to the back. When I asked when my order was coming out, he kept telling me "soon" though I kept seeing customers who ordered after me receiving their orders. When I told him about this, he sarcastically replied, "What, you've been waiting like 1-2 minutes?" Dude, you're not even the owner. read more

If you are visiting Methodist Hospital and are in need of good Bagel's, then you must visit La Bagel Delight. La Bagel Delight has been in business since 1986 and has lasted this long for a very good reason. Their Bagel's, their Schmear's, and their service are top notch. A dozen Bagel's cost $15, but you'll get 14 Bagel's in total. Accessible by bus, and not far from the F train. read more

La Bagel has been in the neighborhood for a very long time.People are friendly and the food is excellent..Very fresh, the breakfast sliders are delicious, and great tasting coffee..They make huge sandwiches that taste awesome! Delicious, clean, precise, and extremely fast service wow! A tad pricey. It can be a little hectic and confusing for first timers on where to go but the male workers are so nice and helpful. I had a great "hot" turkey sandwich there at the park slope location and I ordered the same sandwhich at the Brooklyn heights location and it tasted like something from a corner deli. first of all it was cold after I told them hot. Today I went back to the parkslope location and I said a hot Turkey sandwich (toasted bread) and I didn't know it was cold until I got home. Stopped in here for lunch. Grabbed the Lox Spectacular on an everything bagel. The flavors were very good, but nothing extraordinary. I came later in the day, so the bagel didn't taste "hot out of the oven" like it would for breakfast. With that said, the texture was still excellent and the portion was large. Service was friendly, bagels are prepared to order and made perfectly with attention to detail. It's quite an impressive setup. read more

$5 is a hefty price to pay for a bagel, but when you're in park slope and they slather on a mound of scallion cream cheese - can you really complain? I ate half and saved the other half thanks to all that cream cheese :). They have a credit card min here of 5 bucks, so if you're ordering a bagel with a specialty cream cheese you'll be a couple cents short from using your credit card. There'll always be a short line in the AM for people who need their bagel fix. You probably won't be waiting too long because they take your orders ASAP. read more

La Bagel has been around forever and they continue to be a shop that is both efficient and friendly. That's not what you usually get when you go to a bagel shop. It's either one or the other. Pair the service, speed and the fact they have a delicious bagel with the perfect soft and tasty consistency and you've got a winning combination. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the bagels here or the cream cheese. Everything is fresh and delicious. read more

Good bagel, very friendly service. Had an everything with scallion and it was a good doughy texture. Cream cheese was good. Also got some Italian Rainbow cookies that were good. It's a pretty spacious location with plenty of seating in the back. Overall, La Bagel Delight is a nice breakfast spot. read more

The shop was busy with morning commuters and school teens getting their morning fix before heading to their destinations. Once inside I did not wait long to place my order, although it took a little time to review the menu before finalizing my decision. I went with the Lox Deluxe on everything bagel toasted and boy it was delicious. The bagel was soft yet crispy on the outside and the combination of flavors from the red onion, capers, cream cheese and tomato was just right. The space is roomy enough with several tables to dine-in and it is also kept clean, which is optimal. Look forward to visiting again to try a different menu item, perhaps during lunch.

Nothing to write home about. Best bagels in Brooklyn? Come on, everyone knows that nothing beats my beloved Bagel Boy! We stopped here after visiting my mom at NYM nearby as my little one was hungry and wanted a bagel. The bagels were ice cold and rock solid. I also got a bagel and the genius who cut it, somehow managed to slice the bottom half one way and the top half the other way, so I could not really separate the bagel into two neat halves to eat it comfortably! The funny thing is that years ago I had a bagel from this location and forgot how bad it was, this was like 10 years ago, no improvement! read more

I love this true blue neighborhood bagel shop. It's great to see them expand and do well, they REALLY do have the best bagels in Brooklyn. Yes, you will pay Park Slope prices, but it's really OK. I've been to the local Subway shop and they've been out of bread more than once...are you kidding?? (They get the next bad review!) La Bagel never fails to deliver and they're never out of bread! I LOVE their turkey explosion, too! Plus, I quite like old-school Brooklyn interactions between the guys in the shop, the loud voices and joking and teasing...it reminds me of a Christmas dinner at home! read more

Love this place so much. Their breakfast sandwiches are so good. It's gets busy and they have the customer service to match it and to make sure everyone on line is satisfied. I happened to be in this area randomly. These are probably the best bagels I have had in my life. There was a place in Montreal that I recall was better, but memories can be fuzzy. They are properly made the old fashioned way. Bagel with cream cheese and coffee was only $3. I wish they opened a store in midtown, and put all those crappy and overpriced bagel shops out of business. read more

Does nobody notice how much this place sexually harasses women? All the female customers. Also why are the only women working there put at the cashier, instead of taking orders making food, which are 100 percent men? Does that not seem super misogynistic to you? Also, they do keep changing prices for same thing here. Not my favorite. Very rude. read more

He must frequent there often, and it was obvious how displeased the staff was with me wanting to purchase breakfast for this man. Regardless of position in life, he's still a human being. Recently I began to visit again, as the establishment is conveniently on my way to work. Per usual I order one of the specials of the day, and modify the order to include a medium iced coffee instead of the size small offered with the special. The order total is always under $13 with the up charge and tip included. Today the exact same order was almost $20 before tip. I mentioned the discrepancy in price, and ask why the difference today. They kept insisting it was due to ordering a medium iced coffee, yet it's never been an issue with past orders, including yesterday morning. Expecting a proper explanation, the staff simply shrugged their shoulders without any concern. I've visited Bagel World many times, to the point where two of the gentlemen behind the counter already know my order and bagel preferences. An almost $6 increase without a proper explanation is unacceptable, and a disservice to their clients. Bagel World has lost my business for good.
