Not the best bagels, but a wide selection. Coffee cake here is delicious!!! If you need to pick up bagels or breakfast on a holiday, this is one of the only places that will be open (has been a lifesaver throughout the years!) Most of the males that work in this establishment always make comments to flatter female customers. I must say, it becomes extremely uncomfortable. Stopped in with my daughter Sat morning . Started talking with one of the staff named Bob. I told him I havent been to Prospect Park for over 55 years. The point of this is he actually cared and was very friendly and accomodating to our order. Everything was fabulous , service and food. The entire staff was very efficient and courteous. Big shout out to Bob who welcomed me back . I believe this place opened in 1986, the last time Mets won the World Series. Being a Met fan i told Bob I will be back in the fall when they win. Excellent bagel. The everything bagel was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The lox and cream cheese with everything was loaded with salmon and was a terrific breakfast. The produce tasted fresh. Coffee was okay. Very hot. Not my favorite grind, but plenty good enough. Staff was super friendly and quick to get our order together. $7.00 for a breakfast sandwich!?!! Ridiculous even for park slope! You charge separate for 2 eggs with bacon (5.00) then another dollar for the cheese and ANOTHER dollar for the damn croissant. Now here's the kicker...you can order a "featured" sandwich with about to different ingredients for about ...you guessed it LESS THAN 7.00!!!! Seriously, talk about insult to injury. My mistake is that I called it in.I am so sorry I walked past the cart on the corner. It's the principle of it. I was on a bagel crawl before heading back to Nevada (which translates into "land where bagels = round bread"), and was up the road at Bagel Hole. We wanted to check some other places and the reviews looked positive, so we rolled down here, too. I'm so glad we did. The bagels are awesome! Soft, HUGE (almost 2x the size of Bagel Hole) and tasty as heck. They were the same price, too. We got a dozen to pack home (most of which made it), and grabbed a lox spectacular to split later in our hotel room. That made us sad ... because while bagels pack, ship and freeze easily, lox and cream cheese do not, and after eating it, we both sorely wanted more for the road. Treasure your bagels, people. This review is for the bagels only! After getting more smoked salmon than any two people should possible purchase, my mom and I stopped by this shop for a few bagels. The store is nice and clean. Make sure to head closer to the back to get in line to order. The store offers a wide selection of hot foods as well as cold salads and cold cuts. Pretty much anything you'd expect from a deli. In addition to these, when we went they had a variety of pre-packaged Italian cookies. we got sesame seed bagels. These were huge, soft, and had a great taste. I went with the whole wheat everything with vegan cream cheese and a bunch of veggies(cuc, tom, lettuce, jalapeno). I was sure the guy was going to get our orders mixed up regarding our vegetable addition specifications, but he got it exactly correct! Vegan pro tip: they have multiple vegan cream cheeses to pick from and will gladly let you sample before selecting. for you non-vegans, the # of cream cheese flavors to pick from was truly astounding. They had a long line when we got there but it moved very quickly. This place hooked my sandwich up! I ordered whole wheat bread with honey maple turkey, American cheese, lettuce and honey mustard. It was two people ahead of me but they moved really fast. The staff who prepared my sandwich was professional and nice. He repeated my order without any error and went to work. While waiting, I noticed on the digital menu that they make their own bagels. The bagels looked so big and fluffy; they are definitely an upgrade from Dunkin Donuts. I had made a mental note to try their bagels next time if I was in the area. The staff prepared my sandwich really fast and I didn't have to wait to pay either. The process was a smooth sailing. I walked out the store as hunger tore up my stomach; I was literally going to walk and eat at the same time. Usually, I don't because I like to enjoy my food but it's not a good thing to be hangry though. That sandwich was so juicy and most of all, it hit the spot. It was very tasteful; I enjoyed every bite. It was also big enough for three people, too; it was that humongous. I ended up saving the second half for later. I liked the overload of honey roasted turkey and three slices of cheese especially since it cost 7.95 to make it. Le Bagel Delight Brooklyn I happened upon this place while headed to another restaurant in Brooklyn. I stopped here strictly because it said the bagels were hand made and my sister wanted an onion bagel from New York. Oh, it was oniony alright! I had a whole day with onion, garlic and plain bagels in my hotel room and let me tell you, they were quite fragrant! The question then became, did they taste as good as they smelled? Unequivocally, yes! Even after two days, I just toasted them up and added a little butter to them and they were fabulous. This is my 2nd time visiting New York this year and I always HAVE to have an authentic New York bagel! I looked up the closest place to go to my first day and landed here. So far this is the best bagel I've had in NYC! The staff is also wonderful. It was a bit crowded with a long line when I went but all the employees stay friendly and patient. Freshest bagels, large selections of anything you need, immediate service. From the outside this place looked immaterial. A slight improvement on your average Brooklyn bagel place. What a surprise when I opened the door! The first thing I noticed were the friendly decorations. It being the holiday season a nicely decorated place always puts me in a good mood. I got into a line, which seemed impossibly long. Luckily they employ a large staff to easily be able to handle the traffic. I heard a "are you being serviced" in about two minutes. At that point I was still having a hard time deciding between thirty different bagels and fifty cream cheeses. After much anguish I finally settled on the egg bagel with avocado cream cheese and a slice of tomato. After biting into my bagel and immediately feeling like a genius I decided to sit and eat inside the place. They offer a few tables towards the back and sort of a bar thing hugging the wall. I felt like the bagel was something pulled out of the oven a second ago specifically for me. The avocado cream cheese, something I had never tried before tasted great. I efficiently terminated my bagel and noticed they have a separate area for catering orders. This is our neighborhood spot for bagels, my wife and family go there all the time. It's always terrible - the bagels are good NYC bagels, the staff are unorganized, rude, and slow. I've gone in and ordered a mini bagel untoasted with cream cheese and it takes 10 minutes while they give other people their stuff (same kind of stuff) faster and then rudely shrug you off when you ask whats up. Today I went in and asked for a bagel (didn't ask if I wanted it toasted) and when I said "I was sorry, I wanted it toasted" the dude picked it up and thrust it at me and said "I can't toast it now", then just tried to stare me down. I've seen them get in arguments with people about bringing outside coffee (as if the gourmet place across the street doesn't have better than their truckstop carafes, and french vanilla cappuccino machines). I've seen them be rude to little old ladies for not speaking up, and kids for... existing. The bagels ARE good, and sometimes if you get lucky the staff can be nice, but obviously, management has no reason to incentivize the positive. There's other places to get bagels, and most of them won't have a 15-minute line for bagels just because they can't figure out how a queue works. read more

Abundance of choice and set of friendly set, each one bringing their own characteristic and secret recipe to either mixing two different flavors of coffee or better choice of cold cuts for a sandwich. Recently discover that I can call and place an order by phone, which is a great option especially when it gets busy. This place accommodates anybody. One day you can see group of construction workers or Methodist hospital staff. Usually places have specific crowds, but not this establishment, it serves everybody. I used go there when it was located on 5 street while back and it was same kind of service but just a smaller place, try new store layout is well thought out and is very simple. This place is great. I ordered a toasted bagel with butter and a soft scrambled egg. The bagel was delicious, perfect, soft on the inside, stiff on the outside. They put on butter-- real butter. And the egg was actually like i ordered it, soft scrambled. The next day i made the mistake of trying another bagel place a block away (bagel pub). Lets just say, i will never do that again.
