Always a great time at La Bamba. Was there last night on a busy Saturday evening. We were seated within 20 minutes despite being packed. We love the frozen margaritas here and always our go to spot. Last night I had the crab nachos and they were good made with real crab. Only thing was that the tortilla chips got a little soggy. Maybe they can prepare using thicker chips but regardless they were really tasty. Staff always attentive and fast service. Nice time sipping on Margaritas with good company!

La Bamba has stepped up there lunch specials big time! They have fantastic deals, with HUGE portions. I made my one meal into 2 1/2 meals, thats how much food they give you. I also tried there loaded Nachos, they were so good each chip had a large amount of cheese, guac, and sour cream. When I say topping ratio to chip was perfect, I mean perfect. All the food was fresh, and pipping hot. I went when they first opened, and people started rolling in shortly after. The staff was friendly, and attentive. The restaurant was clean, and inviting. This will always be my go to Mexican spot in south Florida.

Good: Decor is modern and bright. Great energy. Looked newly done. Booth was comfy. SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, even the bathrooms! Lunch menu had plenty of variety. Chips were fresh. We were greeted warmly, and seated immediately. Service was friendly. Bad: Food lacked flavor. Even the salsa with the chips didn't have much zip. (Point of reference: At Thai restaurants I order 2 stars. I am not a Super Spicy eater). My marinated chicken breast was very dry. The plantains were barely lukewarm, black beans were soupy. I always bring my leftovers home. Not this time.

La Bamba will always have a spot on my top fave Mexican spots because it's always delicious and consistent whether you dine-in or take-out. When dining in, you get served complimentary hot, fresh and crispy chips with mild/medium & "spicy" salsa as soon as you sit. I use quotations on the spicy because it is not spicy enough to me, personally speaking. I appreciate that the service is always fast and everyone is friendly. I've never had to wait long for a table and/or food and I've dined here so many different times; weekends, weekdays, lunch and dinner. They operate this establishment very well. Last night I had the pleasure of trying their passionfruit margarita (frozen) with a tajin rim and this is easily the best frozen margarita I've ever had. The passionfruit pureè doesn't taste fake like some places and drinks so smoothly. Whenever I'm sick, only their chicken soup can cure me. It is my favorite (sick or not)! I normally get their picadillo, but had the enchilada / taco combo which was soooo good and hit the spot of exactly what I was craving - like I said before, they are always CONSISTENT - so no matter what I've tried, I know what I'm getting will be good. I absolutely love how much cheese they use and how hefty the portions are; definitely get your money's worth. Their rice and beans hit everytime no matter if you get white rice with black beans, or yellow rice with refried beans. I will continue to return for many years to come!

Impromptu Taco Tuesday craving. I haven't been to this location in a while. Had no idea what I wanted to order because everything is delicious. I'm glad I flipped the menu over and saw the combination plates. We also had passion fruit frozen margaritas which were tasty, not watered down at all. Service was speedy and prompt. Not long after we sat down were we greeted with the famous chips and salsa. The bar was busy and everyone looked like they were having fun

Visited on a weekday and to my surprise this place got busy! The restaurant has more seating than I thought. Service was great and food arrived timely. Not pictured but the fajita platters here arrive sizzling and are delicious!

If you don't know about this establishment, you will when I'm done. From the food, to the service and the amount on the plate. Once you get in they give you fresh chips and salsa and they refill it along with your drink. I only eat one thing when I go in, you let me know if you've tried eating here before. I went with the "Enchilada Dinner". Two shredded chicken enchiladas, refried beans and rice. The fresh salsa I like to add in the mix. They have hot sauce but I've never seen like a garlic cilantro or anything like that. But top it with the fresh salsa from your chips and you will be in heaven. Definitely enough food for two sit downs. But if you're hungry, it packed with flavor and you will not be disappointed. Till next time, let me know.

We're always on the hunt for great seafood, and this Spanish restaurant exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, we loved the atmosphere. The white tablecloths, candlelit tables, and the daily specials written on a rolling whiteboard gave it a warm, classic feel. The owner personally greeted us and escorted us to our table, making us feel right at home. Our waiter was absolutely amazing--attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. The drinks were perfect, and they brought out a small loaf of sourdough bread with butter that had the crispiest, crunchiest crust I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious. We started with the garlic shrimp appetizer, which was excellent. For our entrée, we ordered the Paella loaded with seafood, chicken, and chorizo. Chef's kiss! Every bite was packed with flavor, and it was one of the best paellas we've ever had. What really made the evening special was the atmosphere. It felt like one big family--everyone was talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves. It was warm, welcoming, and unlike any restaurant experience we've had in a long time. To top it all off, they surprised me with a slice of tres leches cake for my birthday and the staff sang "Happy Birthday." It was such a thoughtful touch and made the night even more memorable. If you're looking for incredible Spanish food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like family, Cafe Seville is a must-visit. We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back!

We had open table reservations so we were seated right away...the hostess was was very friendly as were our servers...we started with one guy but then we had another lady soon after. We ordered drinks to start...Pinot grigio for me and Corona for the hubby. We looked over the menu a bit and started off with 3 shareables..the eggplant with honey, shisito peppers and octopus gallega...The eggplant with honey was an interesting dish (in a good way) and very tasty...they peppers were good as well but my husband wasn't a fan of the octopus gallega. For the 2nd round, we ordered another round of drinks and then the pan con tumaca, manchego croquettes and octopus in garlic sauce. I loved the toast with tomato "jam" as well as the manchego croquettes...I would re-order both of these. My husband wasn't a fan of the octopus in garlic sauce as he felt it was a bit too salty. He also ordered another dish, the seafood salpicon and this dish he really loved! For dessert we opted for the crema catalana...similar to a creme brulee...it was good...I also had a latte which was a nice accomplishment to the dessert. After dinner we headed to their Hidden Speakeasy (behind the pantro door). In there we each had another drink to end the evening. They do have a food menu in there which was different from the restaurant. It would be fun to just come with a group of friends and chill for a while. All in all, a tasty meal and a fun date night!

There was one other table of patrons when we arrived, but we were the only people in the place until we left. The eatery offers lunch specials, but we went specifically for the half price paella (on Tuesdays and Wednesdays). We started with the pulpo ajillo appetizer, which is octopus in a red wine and garlic sauce. It was tender and delicious. For our paella we ordered the mixto version with chicken, shrimp, scallops, mussels, octopus, and squid. The squid melted in your mouth. The scallops were divine (even though they were the small bay scallops). Everything else in the paella was good, but I thought the rice was a bit too moist. Traditional paella should feature rice that is firm and not sticky. I even like the crispy crust that can form at the bottom. This paella did not feature either. We shared a creme brulee for dessert. It had thick caramelized sugar on top but the custard was very milky and not thick and creamy enough. Our meal for 1 appetizer, 1 paella at half price, 1 dessert, tax, a surcharge for using a credit card, and tip was $74. Service was impeccable.

They offer numerous variations, with your choice of sauce and protein, making this one of the more mofongo-focused restaurants I've seen in Broward. We started with the shrimp mofongo. The plantain mound itself was moist, flavorful, and nicely seasoned, avoiding the dry, dense texture that plagues lesser versions. Ours came topped with a rich shrimp sauce, but other options included a garlic cream sauce and a Creole-style sauce, both of which looked excellent as they passed through the dining room. Of the dishes we tried, the mofongo was actually my favorite. The masitas de cerdo (fried pork chunks) were flavorful and well-seasoned, although they came out a bit drier than I would have preferred. I'd still order them again, but based on what I saw arriving at nearby tables, the pernil may be the move on a future visit. The rice deserves mention as well. The arroz con gandules was excellent, with plenty of flavor rather than simply serving as a side dish. They also offered moro rice in both red bean and black bean versions, which was nice to see. The Punta Cana cocktail was worth ordering. Sweet, tropical, and considerably stronger than it looked. The dining room is much larger than it appears from outside, but this is very much a casual neighborhood spot. It reminded me of the kind of local restaurant you'd find in Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic: a large dining room, full bar, TVs on the wall, families gathering for dinner, and the emphasis squarely on the food rather than creating an upscale experience. There's also a stage and DJ setup for live entertainment. One note: service was slow on our Sunday evening visit. After speaking with the manager, I learned she was also the restaurant's only server and that a single cook was handling the kitchen while also keeping up with a steady stream of takeout orders. Given those realities, the pace made more sense. Everyone was friendly, but this isn't the place to visit if you're in a hurry. Both English and Spanish menus are available, although the primary server was clearly more comfortable interacting in Spanish. They also feature Latin music and a DJ on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, which is probably when the room really comes alive. If you're a fan of mofongo, pernil, arroz con gandules, or Dominican comfort food in general, Bohio is worth adding to your list.

They had just moved to this new location from nearby a few months ago. It still felt kinda new inside in a good way. There wasn't many people there when we arrived. I would say those are the most flavorful ones and on our regular rotation. They also have an almond cake we always order that is imported from Spain.
