One steak and one chicken crispy cheese taco on the left and one quesabirria taco on the right.

Literally the best tacos in Sac! Maybe of my life! That cheese skirt is amazing. And the chicken is the best chicken I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Usually I'm a carne asada person, but this chicken is so flavorful and tender and perfect. Go! Now! Get me one too!

The food, atmosphere, service, design, and everything in between were EXCELLENT! Prices were average compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area, and portions were LARGE! My 9-year-old son and I came here while waiting for my car to be serviced at VW, and we walked here from the dealership. So glad we chose this restaurant! We have decided that this will be our "go to" while having service done on my vehicle!

Birria is full of flavor!! We had the quesabirria tacos and the burrito, that cheese was nice and crispy on the edges and gooey on the inside. Restaurant is nice and clean, and the bathroom too. Customer service was great! We'll be back for sure!

This is probably the best Birria I have ever had . It was so tender and juicy I couldn't stop eating it. I don't know if I got lucky on first try at this place or is this just how they do thangs. I give 4 stars today but plan to visit again and if it is just as good as this time or better, I will 5 stars all day. I already wanna spread the word.

    good food

This was by far the best burrito I've ever had in my lifetime. The flavor that was packed into the juicy meat, which is out of this world! Don't get me started on the strawberry Horchata it felt like the flavors were metling on my tongue! I feel like the horchata was made with fruits from the Garden of Eden. The service was great and the decoration was very nice. Don't know why it's classified as a food truck though, as it was an actual restaurant

    That food was BAGIN! DELICIOSA!

The restaurant had great energy and a fun, buzzy atmosphere. The crowd was a lively mix of people from the Capitol, couples enjoying date night and moviegoers grabbing dinner before or after a show. We ordered the carnitas and carne asada. Both plates were generous and full of flavor. The carnitas were tender and practically fell apart with a fork, and the carne asada was cooked perfectly. Add friendly service and a colorful setting, and you have a great downtown Sacramento dining spot!

Unfortunately, the service was lacking during our visit. One of our meals was forgotten and we had to flag down the server to let him know. Our server also wasn't around very often, so it was difficult to get refills or ask for anything we needed. When we requested a specific number of to-go boxes, we weren't given enough and had to get up and ask for additional boxes ourselves. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but I took away 1 star for the lack of service. The service could definitely use some improvement, especially since it wasn't busy when we went. With more attentive service, this could have been a much better dining experience.

What really impressed me was as…read moresoon as I came in the door and started walking toward the counter and people that work there saw me coming they all said a greeting of hello or welcome, As they walked by. They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something. And I said to him, are your related to people that own the place ? he said my parents own this place. He was very friendly and polite. He told me a tiny bit about the restaurant and how everything had been since 1970, much older than he was, he was only a sophomore in high school I think. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade. It's really impressive when you have a well oiled machine and it appeared to me that the people that worked there seem to be happy so that's always a good sign of good management. Several years back, I worked in the restaurant industry doing maintenance and repairs so I went to a lot of different restaurants and saw a lot of things so I know what to look for. I'm definitely gonna come back when my brother and his wife come up from the Bay Area my friend Ivan he'll wanna go there for lunch or dinner I know. He's kind of a picky eater and was born in Mexico, but I think he'll be impressed with this place.

I got the 2 item plate and chose verde enchilada and the verde chimichanga. It came with rice and beans but I asked for no beans. The pork was tender but was not spicy at all as the menu stated the pork verde would be spicy. The chimichanga was super cheesy. My friend ordered the steak ranchero dish and did not like it very much. It looked more like a stew. The ranchero sauce looked to be very watery.

Our server was clearly stretched thin and even mentioned needing to close out other tables. He stopped by once to offer a refill, but it never came. I understand busy nights happen, especially near Golden 1 Center, but the pacing and attention made us feel more like a transaction than a guest. If you're grabbing a quick bite before an event, the food will do the job. If you're looking for a relaxed, unhurried dinner, I'd look elsewhere.
