I wanted to love this salon because the prices are cheap and the work initially looks good, but after multiple visits, my experience became a nightmare. During one pedicure appointment, they noticed my big toenail was slightly broken and suggested putting acrylic over it. I trusted them because they're the professionals. Shortly after, my toenail developed a fungal infection that I am STILL dealing with four months later. I've had to see a doctor, get prescribed medication, and now I'm stuck waiting months for my toenail to heal and grow back properly. It's honestly been disgusting, painful, stressful, and embarrassing. I politely let the salon know what happened, not to attack them, but so they could improve their sanitation and prevent this from happening to other customers. Instead of concern or accountability, there was basically no care. They told me it was my skin that reacted this way to acrylic which makes no sense because I've gotten acrylic on my nails and toes before and even in instances where I had a broken nail. Against my better judgment, I gave them one final chance and got Gel-X nails done. Within ONE WEEK, three nails chipped and broke. I've consistently gotten my nails done for over three years at many salons and have NEVER had nails break this quickly. When I called, they were rude and dismissive. They said that I was probably lifting something heavy, which is impossible because I have back surgery in two weeks. They told me because it had been a week, I'd probably have to pay to fix them. I explained I live an hour away and didn't want to drive all the way there just to maybe be charged again, and their response was essentially, "There's nothing we can do." The salon may be cheap, but you truly get what you pay for. Long waits due to them taking in more customers than they can handle, poor customer service, questionable hygiene, rushed work, and now a lingering fungal infection that has cost me time, stress, and medical treatment. Saving a few dollars is absolutely not worth risking your health. Please be careful before coming here. OC has much better, cleaner and affordable nail salons than this one. read more

When we arrived, there were a few people ahead of us, but the staff was super efficient and everyone, including us, was seated quickly. She asked exactly what I wanted and checked in with me throughout the process--especially after shaping and doing the design--to make sure I was happy with it. This review should've been made a LONG time ago however I felt specifically called to review my FAVORITE and ONLY nail spa because of my last visit. Yesterday I was paired with sweet Holly, not sure who did my feet but she was an Angel too. Holly was personable, kind, and very talented at what she does. When Holly took off my acrylics--I was switching from acrylic to Gel X--she constantly checked in with me, asking if I felt any pain, and used many different methods in taking off my acrylics which caused no pain to me! Incredible. I have been going to La Belle Nail since 2016--when I was in middle school--and I truly have never had a negative experience. The entire staff at La Belle Nail is fully equipped and talented to curate beautiful nails and designs on their clients which is such a PLUS! I never have to worry about who is doing my nails because I know they will come out great and I can sit back and relax. La Belle Nail Spa is always clean, they have a wonderful selection of colors, and while it can get busy, the staff works efficiently to get you seated ASAP. I suggest coming in on the mornings if you are wanting to be seated right away. The prices are fair and stay the same between each visit. HOPE THIS REVIEW HELPS SOMEONE. *i did some research and they are NOT allowed to charge fees on Debit cards WHICH THEY DO HERE (it is illegal and you can actually report it if this happens to you.) 2 minutes into my pedicure, I asked the nail tech doing my pedicure that I have an ingrown and will be going to the dr so to just leave it alone. After a few minutes, I realize she's actually taking the ingrown out (this is actually illegal) she's too deep into her cutting that I didn't speak up because what do I do now??? She asked if it felt better, I said yes (just to get her to leave it alone ) I've had to go see a podiatrist a few years ago after a nail tech (different nail spa) removed my ingrown and messed up. Keep in mind, I don't even know the process of removing an ingrown but because it's pretty painful, you can kinda tell that they are doing it. The nail tech was nice despite the fact that she was doing something she probably wasn't suppose to be doing. When it was time to pay, (I don't get pedicures very often.) I noticed I was being charged more than expected. I asked for clarification. The front lady caught an attitude so quick after I told her I was unaware I was getting gel. The front lady (who I assume is the owner) says I was made aware and how could I not know?? She wasn't even the one who did my nails so how would she know that I was made aware? I explained to her I do not get pedicures often so I really did NOT know and assumed that was just part of the color process?? She was super rude. She called over the nail tech (the front lady seemed very upset at the nail tech) and told her to speak to me. I felt so bad because the nail tech was very nice but her boss just seemed so mean to her so i didn't want to get the nail tech in any trouble. Also IF the front lady is the owner why wouldn't she just resolve the issue herself and just simply apologize? Instead, I did most of the apologizing and I basically didn't argue too much about it (I have a tendency to believe people and blame myself for their mistakes) so maybe it really was a miscommunication on my part?? I asked to see a color palette. So maybe that means gel??? But I'm also 100% certain I did NOT VERBALLY agree to any gel. I paid what I was being charged to avoid the nail tech getting in trouble or making a big deal over $12 extra. The cherry on top is that they charge a fee for using credit card (which is okay) but I was NOT paying credit I paid DEBIT. I got home and remembered that Debit is not allowed to be charged a fee in the U.S After reflecting, I felt very upset and even felt bad that i didn't speak up for myself. Im still hoping the nail tech won't get yelled at after this review but i really needed to just come on here to at least let others know what goes on here. So here I am, typing this review in hopes it'll at least help someone else. Speak up and don't let people take advantage of you especially when you are paying for the service. I never really write any reviews but this nail salon made me feel so disappointed, I really had to come on here and type this. - I also want to add that this was my first time getting a pedicure in a long time. I got one today because I wanted to treat myself this time. A bad experience and putting myself down is what I got at the end for just wanting to treat myself to a nice relaxing pedicure. I also don't even get my nails done because of work. I was looking for good nail salons in Costa Mesa and although this place does have good reviews, they do a lot of things they shouldn't be doing. If the front lady is the owner, she needs to work on her customer service and making sure her nail techs are up to date with their state board. I understand many people go to nail spas to get ingrown removal, but this is something they are not trained to do and can result with the customer having to pay a very expensive medical bill later. I usually don't like writing reviews, especially if it might hurt someone's business, but my experience yesterday was honestly very disappointing. When I walked in, the receptionist (who i think is the owner) was rude and not welcoming. When it was time to pay, I told her I wanted to use my credit card, and she kept insisting that I pay cash. I told her multiple times that I don't have cash, and she pointed to the ATM behind me and told me to use it. I said I don't want to use the ATM and just want to pay with my card. She then told me I would save two dollars if I paid cash, and I clearly told her I don't care about saving the two dollars, just charge my card. After she finally charged my card, she looked me straight in the eye and said "next time pay cash," which felt very rude and unnecessary. She also put me on the spot in front of everyone, which was honestly embarrassing. On top of that, they did not let me leave until they saw that the tip was sent through Apple Cash. That made me very uncomfortable. Tipping should be my choice and not something I feel pressured into, especially when the service was not great. The girl who did my nails was very sweet and gentle, and I really appreciated her. However, the lady who did my pedicure was very pushy and kept trying to upcharge me for every small thing. I come here often and have never had this issue before. The other ladies usually give full service for the normal price I pay, but this time I felt like I was constantly being pushed to spend more money. Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and not what I am used to from this salon. I really hope they improve their customer service and stop pressuring customers about payment and tips. read more
