My boyfriend and I landed at La Cabana after not being able to get into any of the other nearby restaurants. Mexican was our last resort as we have it a lot, but it was convenient. The food was delicious but the service was very poor.

Decided to grab a bite to eat after we checked out. There wasn't much going on so we sat at the bar. We had Frozen Texas Margaritas that were refreshing & kinda strong. I ordered the Fajita Mix lunch special and my Sweetie ordered the #5 lunch special. They were good lunch portions and hit spot. The bartender took good care of us.

10/10 would recommend ! my wife & i vacation in Helen once a month & so far this is our absolutely favorite restaurant ! Hope was an absolutely amazing server , her mannerisms & hospitality were impeccable . you can definitely tell she was raised with respect & manners . we truly appreciate her service & humor !

It was around 3:30 pm on a Sunday afternoon that my husband and I walked into this place. It is the only Mexican restaurant in the vicinity of Helen proper so we didn't have a choice. We were seated immediately as it wasn't busy at all. We were just craving for quesadillas so we made our orders as soon as we were seated. Service was pretty quick. But boy were the quesadillas such a disappointment The meats (I had chicken and my husband had the steak) were very salty...like they were marinated in the Dead Sea! The quesadillas were excessively greasy too...practically swimming in old used oil cause the chicken didn't taste like chicken and the steak didn't steak like steak either. Don't waste your time here. There's another Mexican restaurant 6 miles away in Cleveland. Take the drive there instead.

Great salsa. Fresh tomatoes, Guac and lettuce. Friendly staff. Flavorless and dry chicken but the dishes with beef were ok.

Unfortunately it was raining SO much that we couldn't really walk around and explore the town, so I searched for somewhere close to our hotel to have dinner. We ended up at Bangkok Haus Restaurant and honestly... what a good decision that turned out to be. The restaurant serves Thai food and sushi in this really cozy, relaxing atmosphere, which honestly felt perfect after being stuck in the rain all day. The restaurant itself is super cute inside and beautifully decorated, making it feel warm and welcoming the second you walk in. We decided to go all in on sushi rolls and started with two beers: a Thai Chang beer and a Japanese Asahi. Both were super light, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the sushi. I also ordered a miso soup because honestly... there's just something so comforting about starting dinner with warm miso soup to settle your stomach. For rolls we ordered the Eel Roll, the Lady of Dawn, and the M16 roll. The Eel Roll was rich, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced with that buttery eel texture and eel sauce. The Lady of Dawn roll was super fresh and flavorful with the perfect combination of crunchy and creamy textures. And the M16 roll? SO good. Packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and honestly one of those rolls where every bite tastes different in the best way possible. I later saw online that people rave about the M16 roll too, and now I completely understand why. The service was also super friendly and fast, which we appreciated so much after a long rainy day on the road. Honestly, if you're visiting Helen and want a break from all the German food everywhere, this is SUCH a great option. Amazing sushi, comforting Thai food, good service, and a really beautiful atmosphere.

Super jolly sushi rolls, they are big fresh and worth the money, would definitely eat here again if…read moreI'm in the area.
