    Duck breast
    Bill P.

Chattanooga's best kept secret. This is such a great place for date night. The old home that it's in is so quaint. Geraldine is so accommodating. You can tell how much she cares. Every course was spectacular. It a Pre fixe menu with 7 courses. BYOB and no corkage fee. We felt so special and to hear her talk about the exciting life she has led was so intimate. The menu is set but she always has at least 4 main course choices. I had the duck breast and my wife had the filet. The sauces were so good. Be prepared to pay cash or check because she doesn't take credit cards. We will return. This is our new favorite place.

My wife and I came to this restaurant during a mini-moon right after our wedding. There is no set menu and the owner, Ms. Geraldine, spoke with me to ask about dietary restrictions/allergies/dislikes/preferences etc. and then had some suggestions for our reservation. THE BREAKDOWN *1st Course - Cream of wild mushroom soup (delicious) *2nd Course - Pesto & spinach ravioli with a red sauce and shrimp (delicious) *3rd Course - a) filet mignon with bourbon sauce, accompanied by red potatoes and mixed vegetables (delicious, perfectly cooked to medium rare temp, perfectly tender and flavorful) b) salmon filet in a white sauce accompanied by red potatoes and mixed vegetables (delicious, perfectly cooked, fresh and flavorful) *4th Course -salad with a mustard-seed based dressing (wasn't crazy about this but that's my pallet) *5th Course - Cheese and Grapes (4 different types of cheese and grapes as a compliment/pallet cleanser) *6th Course Dessert - blackberry streusel. I can't even describe to you how delicious this was or the flavor combination but it was delicious. *7th Course Coffee and zachocolate ***Decaf is an option! The venue was very intimate and the setting is gorgeous. We brought our own wine and it was truly a leisurely, pleasurable dining experience. Ms. Geraldine sat and spoke with us for a while about getting started and how she and her husband met and a little of the history. It was like being invited to someone's home and then making you a 6-course meal from the heart. It was delicious and quaint and it was perfect since we had been the only ones to book a reservation.

Must visit in Chattanooga. You have to make reservations and bring your own alcohol. Food and service was absolutely amazing.

Very intimate restaurant set in a nice French theme. Bring your appetite as it is a true 7 course meal and every course was phenomenal.

Brooklyn the hostess was sweet as could be and explained the meats that were on display in the dry aging cooker as she seated us. Nico was a perfect server, available but unobtrusive. We shared amazing oysters, followed by the dry aged ribeye special and rumbledethumps - I need to learn how to make these!! A beautiful bottle of wine complemented our meal. The space is dark and moody with a great bar area around the corner tucked in back. A great start to a wonderful stay.

Finding a memorable upscale dining experience in Georgia countryside is no easy feat. Aside from…read moreendlessly boring, synthetic, fast food boxes, the only decent meal is usually a local BBQ joint. Yet, things are finally starting to change and Auld Alliance is one such example. Much like the way it is in Scotland, where countryside is filled with incredible dining experiences, Auld Alliance presents a meal to remember in a traditionally elegant atmosphere. With Scottish motifs throughout, the menu is heavily oriented towards game like quail and boar, along with venison and aged steak. The team, like the bartender Carrie, are simply amazing and attentive. It's a level of professionalism and attention to detail that would have been impossible to imagine just a few years ago outside the bigger cities of the state. The quail is phenomenal, delicate and flavorful. The hand cut fries here are maybe the best out there. Sides like rumbledthumps are a must. Filet mignon is spectacular. Some of the prices are a bit excessive speaking relatively to other statehouses in the state, but the quality is there. Thus, Auld Alliance is a spot that's worth a detour and a must if in the area.

One of the few places that I've been able to find a carpaccio in Tennessee and it was great! Prices warrant the food and again it was all perfect! We will be back!!! If you've not dined here... it's a must try in fine dining. PS.... The calamari appetizer is off the hook.

I had the seafood Louie Salad. The seafood was AMAZING. The greasing at the bottom was too much. Start less so you don't drown the yumminess and let the customer order more if needed. My husband had the salad and tenderloin with frittata. Salad was a salad, nothing special. The tenderloin was well cooked. The tomato hollandaise was too subtle against the meat and the frittata. The first frittata was over done, dark brown on outside and dry on the inside. They brought us another, properly cooked one and it was delicious. My questions are: why serve an obviously unacceptable dish.... Did you hope we did not know our food? It is an insult to serve a subpar dish in a higher end restaurant. And second, we got an apology but no small comp. The food was obviously bad and we weren't returning good food. The serve staff and kitchen know they served us over cooked crap. It did not need to be a whole meal or a big gesture. This lack of customer care tells me a lot about how you value customers and repeat business.
