The place itself and the staff are quite nice, but the food was not worth the price at all. I got the square mousse cake with a strawberry on top and it was so bad we couldn't finish it. The inside wasn't really mousse either, it was a jelly-ish, cheesecake kind of texture and it tasted very artificial and very sweet. Disappointing to say the least because we spent $25+ on 2 coffees and a small cake. Coffees were good though. I would recommend another place like Baklava instead if you want to try a mousse cake. read more

So I really wanted to like this place. My daughter and I each got a honeycomb latte, she got a lemon cheesecake cup and I got a piece of cheesecake in their Dubai style. The lattes were fine but we really couldn't taste the honey. The cheesecakes were just okay. The most disappointing part was the price. Stopped by for a cup of coffee and pastry with my husband on a Saturday afternoon, we try our best to avoid the Alamo Ranch area due to traffic, but I wanted to give this place a try. The line was about 4 people long when we walked in, but after about 5 minutes we were at the front. I ordered a Turkish coffee and croissant, my husband ordered a grilled chicken panini, and iced latte. We sat down after ordering and were chatting. After about 5 minutes, we received our drinks, both had great flavor, and it wasn't until we realized it had been 30 minutes, and we still had not received our food. My husband went up to ask for an update, and we were told they had lost the ticket to our food order, but my croissant had been saved in the corner behind the counter. I ate the croissant, it was OK, and even after finishing, the panini still had not arrived. 15 minutes passed, and after hearing the staff apologize to three other customers for their mistakes or the wait, we decided it was time to attempt a refund. They were able to refund the panini, and, as we were leaving, came out with the panini. The cafe was frequently busy, but not to the point that the wait should have been as long as it was, or that orders were lost. We appreciate the refund, and still allowing us to take the panini home but it really shouldn't have taken 45 minutes and the customers to go up to the counter twice to deal with the issue. With the amount of coffee shops closing in SA in the last couple of months, I really hope the goal of the cafe is to focus on customer service. read more

Had seen a bunch of videos on the tok and gram of influencers just gushing over the pastries at this quaint "French cafe"....yea, never listening to these "influencers" again. Visited on a Tuesday, late afternoon. Place wasn't busy, 2 young ladies at the register/pastry case. My daughters, mother and I are looking at the offerings in the case and obviously confused as to what we're looking at because while there is a menu on the wall behind the register, there are almost zero labels to what you may or may not be choosing. The obvious were labeled with "cake pop" and "pudding cup" but what is this layered, glossy looking strawberry topped dessert? The lemon in the corner? The cake slices on the other side, no labels. I get up to order, and start describing what we are wanting and the annoyance on the face of the young lady at the register threw me off. I did apologize for not knowing names but what are you expecting? After a $52 bill for 2 "lemon things", a "strawberry layered thing", a cake pop and an Oreo pudding thing..we were left incredibly underwhelmed. The strawberry...thing, for lack of a better term, had a fake flavor with the texture of a light cream and seedy mouthfeel while the outside was waxy and not "glazed" as we assumed. The lemon thing was like a weird gelatinous custard that tasted like a basic and boring lemon meringue, heavy on the boring meringue and less on the lemon. My 8 year old seemingly enjoyed her pudding cup because she's 8 and who doesn't like Oreo? Same with my 10 yr olds cake pop. Overall, it's a cute shop. Clean. Quiet. A place you can possibly work, enjoy a nice coffee and apparently a meal, but the desserts? Not worth price, not at all. Especially for the service provided. Like...you saw we were confused and questioning what we were looking at and instead of assisting or even asking if we needed help, you stood at the register...watching with the most annoyed look on your faces. Maybe it's RBF. Maybe y'all were annoyed. Either way, I do not feel like I would be invited back and the desserts solidified that. read more

I just came in and ordered 3 of their fun shaped pastries and was beyond disappointed. It was just straight "frosting" and that's being decent. I had one bite and couldn't even finish it. The strawberry had no strawberry filling. The chocolate cake had 3 chocolate covered pistachios in the rubber like chocolate pudding and chocolate covering. The raspberry had more filling but not enough to distract from the insane "frosting taste" These are supposed to be homemade with cake and real fruit filling. I'm not sure exactly how they are made but I do know it's not this. These taste like they came out of a freezer. I am willing to come again and try the breakfast because it looks really good. So, I can only speak to the desserts/pastries and coffee as I didn't try any meals (breakfast etc). I bought my family two eclairs, the strawberry mousse dessert and mango dessert mousse. The eclairs were heavy, and the center cream tasteless (I was so disappointed because I was so excited to try these), the strawberry and mango mousse desserts were bland, no taste of strawberry or sweet/tart mango to speak of--again disappointed). I had a cookie latte of some sort which was very good. It was expensive, I don't mind paying for good food but this was not worth the money. For what I ordered it was almost $50. The pistachio éclair was to die for! It was so rich and indulgent! Usually I'm skeptical getting éclairs as they are usually never filled, but this one was PACKED with a green pistachio filling and it was so light and filling! The frosting was sweet, very rich and the pistachios added a nice contrasting crunch! Paired it with the Honeycomb latte and it balanced the sweetness of the pastry beautifully!! This is gonna be my new stop. I gotta try one of everything on this menu!! The atmosphere looks like a perfect place for me to set up my laptop and crunch our school work too, and it's open early in the mornings which is great for an early bird like me! Went here this past weekend. The Turkish plate was perfect! The size of it was enough for one person. The food was good. The simit was tasty. The only downsides were that I don't think they had enough staff to handle the amount of people that were there. They were busy and some tables were not cleaned up. Food and service were very good. Very diverse menu. Breakfast items, my Mom had a "Turkish" grilled cheese she really enjoyed, along with an iced mocha, and a lemon cheesecake cup. She said everything was good. I had an iced Earl Grey tea, a pretty pumpkin mouse and a pastry filled with cheese and spinach. The pumpkin was very tasty and beautifully executed. I'm so sorry but that was probably one of the most flavorless coffee's I have ever had. Tasted like just milk and cinnamon (i literally got a graham cracker latte) and it had no flavor of graham cracker at all. I dumped it when I got home unfortunately. The line is out the door when you first arrive and it moved relatively quickly. They are very prompt with service and trying to get things out and the indoor and outdoor seating is cute. I ordered the raspberry, skull, and peach desserts. They all taste artificial and that taste lingers in your mouth. They did mix up a mango with a peach for me but honestly no big deal. My friend ordered immediately after me, the same latte and three other desserts and it took hers an odd amount of time to come out. Hers also tasted artificial. The pumpkin was the best but honestly compared to the others I wouldn't come here again. I also ordered a matcha latte with strawberry foam which I do highly recommend getting and mixing the strawberry foam in, but the line is not worth getting just a latte. I don't recommend this place it's all artificial, the line is long, the service is great but $10 pastries that are artificial and not rich and creamy or fresh was disappointing. read more
