Never eating here again! There were two customers inside when we sat down upon arrival. Five mins had past before a server walked our way but even then he asked the couple who had just walked in what they wanted to drink. Daniel the server, walked over and asked my party what we wanted to drink after bringing the couple who had just walked in their drinks. Secondly, the server then asked them their order again before us. Third, our food was brought out after the order of the other couple had their food. Our food was tasteless by the way! Lastly, when we received our receipt the server had charged us full price for the three margaritas that were order during "Happy Our" as shown in the attached picture. On top everything he charged us for chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas, even though I ordered chicken and shrimp only. He sent the manager over who walked me over to the same board we took a picture of and erased it. I was in awe! Then said " This is not correct and that a worker added the drink as advertisement". So , I asked "Is it the customer fault for false advertisement"! I was so livid that he could tell because he said " Well you pay what you want and don't come back no more"! I finally found the best restaurant for Mexican cuisine! I love Mexican food, but I don't eat it a lot. I have been wanting to check this place out for awhile now and I'm so glad I finally made it here. What a nice surprise! The inside is decorated nicely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I was truly surprised by the extensive menu. Normally it's the usual Mexican fare, but this place has lots of unusual and more authentic dishes! I had the chicken skewers on a bed of rich with veggies. I love their Mexican rice. It's not like any I've had before. It has vegetables in it and it's very mild; really delicious! Hubby had something off the 'more authentic' menu. It was a stew. It was filled with steak, beans, avocado and green onions. He loved it. We really enjoyed the chips and salsa. Some of the best chips I've ever had and the salsa has the perfect amount of heat and it's a bit more chunky which I really love! We decided to splurge and get dessert. We had the apple burrito. It tasted exactly like an apple dumpling! I'm still dreaming about it because it was so yummy! We had great service and fantastic food! This is definitely our new favorite Mexican restaurant. I, so very much, wish a Mexican restaurant would step outside the VERY standard Mexican fare! The food here was pretty good, but it was your average Mexican food. I ordered some Carnitas Tacos which were very tasty. My orders of jalapenos and avocado slices were healthy sized. They did have a Cucumber vodka which made for a delish Bloody Mary. I'd like to go back and try their tamales, which I would've ordered if I'd seen them on the menu. After I ate, I asked the waiter about them not having tamales and he showed me where they were on the menu. MY bad. All in all, good, but not great. OH, one thing I loved was that they asked if I wanted chips and salsa before bringing them out. This place has a lot to overcome. Parking is very tight at lunch time, despite 50% full tables. Must be business at other places in their strip mall. It is awfully dark inside despite eating at lunch. There was a overwhelming and pervasive smell of shrimp. It was very unappealing. The chairs were curved and somewhat uncomfortable with a linear table. The chairs and the table were unsteady and rocked. The food was ok, but the portions were small for a Mexican restaurant. I got the chimichanga it was about half the size of a bean burrito at Taco Bell, but I paid $11.99 for the experience. The chips were fresh and hot but they needed salt. Everything considered this is not a good restaurant. I don't see how I come back. read more

Some Communication of the delay would've been appreciated but still got the food and took it home. I went here with my family during the week. Without request we were sat in the bar area. The rest of the restaurant wasn't at all full, and the bar tender already was super busy with a big party on the patio. She did not have any help in this section. It took almost 15 minutes before she took our drink orders and we had her take our dinner orders while she was there. Our food came out quickly, but we were not checked on again after that. We needed refills, but did not get them until our bill came. I felt bad for the bartender for not getting any extra help. Most people were pretty happy with their meals. My nachos seemed pretty average for a Mexican restaurant and their salsa tasted like grocery store salsa. I had been here once before and felt like it was much better last time. I will probably try another time and just hope this visit was a fluke. read more

Tried for the first time Friday night at recommendation of a coworker. Went around 5 so wasnt busy yet. Place was clean, plenty of parking and had a fun funky atmosphere inside. We liked the food and the prices. However we gave it only 3 stars because of the poor service. It took 15 minutes for our waiter to come take our order after we received our drinks. Then after we received our food he never came back. We has to grab a bus boy to get refills and another to ask for boxes and our check. He eventually came back when it was time to run our card and then dropped it off with no apologies or thanks for coming in/have a good night etc. We will probably try again because the food was good but the service was a major deterrent and something management should be monitoring as it could make a good establishment go bad 7/6/19 Returned and had an wonderful experience. The food just as good as before but had good service this time around. Updating to 5 stars! read more

Ehhh, I expected better! I haven't had mexican food in awhile and my sister and i were craving some after long day of Christmas shopping! I must say the interior is so beautiful and nicely done! It's not your typical run down mexican restaurant. This would almost look like a chain restaurant but it's not. It's nicely decorated and all the employees there are in uniform like button up shirts with ties and such. The chips and salsa were amazing, along with the queso. but like another mexican restaurant i've been and experienced. the small sauce bowl of queso for a little over 4$ is a rip off. We got togo here before and they were very generous with the queso. Anyways, we decided to order off the lunch menu....it was nothing fancy. I ordered the shredded beef taquitos with beans and rice...didn't really have any flavor was kind of a disappointment. We may have gone in on an off day since my sister alway raves about their food. Went here for lunch while visiting my boyfriends family this weekend and was less than impressed. Their chips had no appeal. They were likely from a bag at a grocery store. Being the Southern California girl I am, it's hard for me to find good Mexican food in this area, but I found my compromise. The California burrito. It was probably the best I've had in this area. My husband ate cammerones del diablo, not as hot as they said and not that great. I liked that the kids menu had non-Mexican food for my picky eaters. The strawberry margarita was great! Ate here for the first time on a Friday night. Place was busy and we're told to expect a 30 minute wait for the 2 of us. We sat at the bar and ordered a drink. Bartender was great and extremely helpful explaining the menu because they have a lot of options. We were seated within 20 minutes and had arguably the best server we have had in any restaurant in the area. Bold statement I know but I stand by it. We ordered right away and food took a bit longer than expected but drinks and chips/salsa did not go empty. We had the fajitas and they were pretty good. Took leftovers home for the next and they were even better. As mentioned in other posts the floors were slippery and the placement of the table pedal stool was awkward but to complain any more about it would be just being picky. We had an enjoyable experience and will be going back soon. The only real recommendation I have for the food is for them to walk across the street and get the flour tortilla recipe from Chevys as this place has some work to do on theirs. read more
