I had a reservations for a Friday lunch at 1 but it wasnt required. The store was completely empty so it was actually kind of nice to have the place to ourselves. The one server was super kind and interacted with my littles. Food portions were larger than expected, and dedinitely could have been a sharable. Food was well seasoned and delicious; nothing seemed bland or lackluster. We were celebrating a birthday and had the plesant surprise that the birthday girl got a little ice cream treat with a candle at the end. I need to be on a low carb diet, but I really want to come back to try all the pastas. I didnt know Japanese Italian fusion was a thing!
What a great find! La Casa Mia had been on my list of places to try for a while, and it did not disappoint. I made a reservation for a Thursday dinner at 6 PM, and we were greeted and seated right away. The service was warm and attentive from the start. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary salad and vegetable soup, both of which were a wonderful way to begin the meal. The mentaiko pasta was the highlight of the evening, rich, creamy, savory, and full of flavor. Since we had noted on our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant also treated us to a complimentary scoop of ice cream with a birthday candle, which was such a thoughtful touch. The host was incredibly kind and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. Between the excellent service, delicious food, and welcoming atmosphere, La Casa Mia made our celebration feel extra special. We will definitely be back for future birthdays and special occasions!
Nice service, the food was very good. It is a small place and the schedule hours don't help much but if you have time and you are in the area is recommended Also the milk tea is vey small
I dream about their cod roe pasta, it's literally the best I have ever had. Like next level pasta! We went as a big group for my sister's birthday, and they were pretty accommodating and nice. We had them keep our cake in the back fridge which they charged us for, but it wasn't too much. The pastas are the way to go! The pizzas were alright and the drinks were also okay, but get the pasta!!!
I always wanted to try this place since I heard of it but never got the chance until recently. Fusion food has never been my favorite cuisine but the combination of Italian/Japanese piqued my interest. [[ Location ]] It's in a familiar plaza in Milpitas most noticeably with the Lion's Grocery Store but it has a ton of other stores in the area too. There is plenty of parking but it can get crowded sometimes when its busy (aka lunch/dinner) but you'll always find parking. You might have to walk a bit further. [[ Restaurant ]] In my opinion, the first thing you will notice is that this place is SMALL. It's really nicely decorated inside but it just feels small overall. It wasn't too busy when we went but I can see it filling up on the weekends. [[ Service ]] I'm not sure if they normally do this but they went around and gave us free salad and a cup of soup to anyone who wanted it in the restaurant. I thought that was a nice surprise and a nice touch that made the dining experience really nice. Also I'm a huge fan of their free birthday treat. Most places just give you a small piece of cake or something but La Casa Mia gives you multiple scoops of ice cream and a nice happy birthday sign at the end of the meal. I thought that was really touching and the whole group was able to enjoy the ice cream without feeling like we had to control how big of a spoon we got. [[ Food ]] I feel like we got to try most of the more interesting food here but the group got the following: 1.) French Fries with Truffle Oil 2.) Carbonara with Udon ($2 add on) 3.) Mentaiko Mayo Mochi Cheese Pizza 4.) Salmon Shimeji Mushroom Risotto with Noodles Overall i think they did a good job with the balance. The Japanese / Italian flavors were equally balanced and nothing felt overpowering which made the dishes very good and easy for hesitant people who haven't had fusion food before. I don't think there is a dish I did not like and I was very happy with the meal. I think the most fun to eat was the Mochi Cheese Pizza because I did not think Mochi would be a good substitute for the carbs of a pizza but it worked just fine and tasted spectacular. The French Fries with Truffle Oil was also really good but I thought the portion sizes were too small.
It's been on my to-go list for a long time and I finally got a chance to visit. I love the earthy and homey aesthetic; it made me feel at home. It's spacious and has plenty of seating. My group did have to wait awhile for the food to come out but the service was attentive. Payment comes in a little bucket which I thought was cute. I definitely would come back to try their other menu items~! Food: - Mentaiko Cream: saucy, noodles were well-cooked. gave a generous amount of cod roe with the pasta - Carbonara: the bacon definitely completes the meal, toppings were proportioned well with the pasta.
Wow! It's so great to have this spot in Milpitas. We love Japanese Italian fusion and had been looking for a local spot to get our fix. Very cute decor in the restaurant, almost like a garden or afternoon tea vibe which we really liked. The servers were very nice and were able to point out what items on the menu were vegetarian for my family family. We wound up getting the Pomodoro, the mushroom melody pizza the katsu pasta and the uni, with some bread and fries as appetizers. The bread was very fresh, warm, and fluffy. Very tasty. The fries were interesting, clearly fresh cut single fry fries, so don't expect a super crispy fry, but the potato taste was quite nice. The mushroom pizza was a highlight, we loved the combination of the asian mushrooms, lots of umami with a nice crisp crust, highly recommend this one. My uni pasta was great, perfectly seasoned, salty with a fresh seafood aroma from the uni and the ikura salmon roe, I would get this again in a heartbeat. Desserts were decent, I was hoping to get the Match panacotta but they were out. We got some ice cream and the Casatta instead which was ok, I would probably skip the Casatta in the future and hope to get the panacotta instead. All in all this is a very solid pasta spot with reasonable prices. We will definitely be back!
Good place for lunch at this Italian / Asian fusion restaurant. The kids meal was a hit with the 4 year old. And the adult items were pretty good too. The clam pasta had a good balance of taste and texture. Curry rice had an overwhelming amount of cheese!
What a little gem! The service here and the presentation of all the food is very Japanese, which means polite and beautiful. All the food was absolutely delicious and the fact that they were so visually appealing, made it that much more extra. Looking from the outside I would not have thought this place was so good! If you like any pasta this is pretty darn good. I also got to try a bite of my son's seafood pasta which I thought was also really good. I definitely recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to coming back. The only downside is the space is actually quite small. It would not be good for big groups, and you most likely to wait for a table.
[Food] - Seafood Pescatore Rosso ($23): Made with shrimp, mussels, scallop, clam, octopus, tomato sauce & parsley. One of my favorite dishes here! - Yuzu Clam Pasta: Made with white wine sauce and comes with yuzu kosho on the side. Loved this dish the most! I hope they keep this on their permanent menu as this was part of the limited time special menu. Unfortunately I forgot price of this but it was around the $20 range. - Lunch Plate Special ($18): Comes with pizza of the day, soup, salad, and your choice of pasta. My bf picked the Mentaiko cream pasta. Definitely a good deal for lunch! - French Fries w/ Truffle Oil Sauce ($9): Fries were nicely fried and seasoned. The sauce was yummy as the truffle wasn't too overwhelming. - Japanese Mushroom Melody Pizza ($29): Made with a white sauce with shimeji, maitake, shiitake mushrooms, & mozzarella. For me the white sauce was a bit too heavy, and having tried the Mentaiko Mayo Mochi Cheese Pizza at their Santa Clara location, I think I enjoyed that much more as it was more balanced. My bf's mom loved this though! - Matcha Tiramisu ($8): I would call this more of a parfait than tiramisu. Wasn't too sweet and nicely balanced with the cream, mochi, and jelly. [Service] - Super polite, friendly, attentive & helpful [Ambiance] - Nicely decorated like a cute Japanese cafe [Overall] - Would definitely come back! Especially for the Mentaiko Mayo Mochi Cheese Pizza, Seafood Pescatore Rosso, the lunch plate special and the Yuzu Clam Pasta!
I love how the inside of this restaurant looks. Rustic and whimsical. The food was amazing! The server is the cutest and super polite. Amazing service. Come try!!
Such a cute restaurant with delicious food! They have interesting and unique dishes. We tried several of their pasta and a pizza. Would love to see more pasta options maybe in the future, currently it's fresh spaghetti or udon for a little extra. Price is reasonable and we were served salad and soup as soon as we sat down. Came on a weeknight and was seated immediately. There was only one staff working out front and she was so kind and friendly!
Got to try La Casa Mia again, this time in Milpitas! This location's interior is very cozy. I ordered the Carbonara and Truffle Fries. They oddly came out at the same time, I would have preferred some time apart. But that's okay, still delicious :) The truffle fries are so long and I love the aioli it comes with. Carbonara super creamy and delicious. Poached egg on top and everything was perfect. Pasta was the perfect al dente too.
After several months, no business sign put up yet. Plus, looks like staff is changing every time I visited. Food: i've gotten over the fact that they serve Ramen rather than spaghetti now; not Italian at all. The sauce and the dishes do taste good. So, i've been back. The squid ball (3.5*) tastes ok... looks really good with the spoon presentation. Dinner menu's Seafood pasta white sauce was great. (4.5*); Salmon pasta is average (3*) ; a bit salty and salmon a bit dry. The lunch Cabonara was made just right! (almost 5*) - if only they use italian pasta rather than ramen... hmmm... too much to ask! Was pleasantly surprised that dessert was actually sweet () berry roll & blanc (4*) One complaint about their serving fork... extra tiny like for kids. Hard a hard time using it. Earl grey tea (tea bag) & dripped coffee were quite good. $$$$$ Last but not least... watch out for hanging light fixture SMACK IN THE MIDDLE as you walk into the restaurant (2 steps?). Anyone taller than 5 feet will HIT it right on. Lawsuit waiting to happen!! May be free meals for life! $$$$$ maybe easier lawsuit than the McDonald $1m hot coffee lawsuit. [6 check ins are not correct. This included my previous visits to Obitari Ramen restaurant in the same location. Restaurant wasn't crowded and had quite a few empty tables on a Sunday night around 7. Our waitress greeted us with "konnichiwa" and "arigato" which made me feel like I was back in Japan and it was honestly a fun but unexpected touch. Anyways, what was ordered: the mentaiko pizza and uni udon (pasta was subbed for udon). Starting with the pizza, I really liked the sausage. It's not the typical western sausage and had a satisfying "crunchier" texture. The crust is thin which is what I enjoy in a pizza. I managed to get a cheese pull so this boosted the dish for me. The mochi didn't have much of a presence but not an issue. Now, the uni pasta. I really wanted to love it but it wasn't for me. I felt like I ate the ocean. It overpowered the entire dish and made it quite difficult to eat. If you're into the strong ocean vibes, this dish is for you. Another note, the kitchen closed at 8 (I think the restaurant closes at 8:30 on Sundays). I saw a party come in around that time and got turned away. So just a heads up to come at least 45 minutes earlier than closing time if you want to dine here. read more

We came here for dinner on a weekday around 7:15pm and it was pretty empty. I immediately noticed all the cute decos and cozy garden vibe which I really loved. We ordered the tuna sashimi carpaccio, mentaiko cream spaghetti, and the mochi corn cheese pizza. We really enjoyed the Japanese Italian fusion flavors. The tuna sashimi was cut pretty thick and served with a creamy sauce (??), I kinda wish it was served with ponzu and probably wouldn't order again. I would 10/10 recommend the mentaiko spaghetti! Sooooo delicious. The mochi corn cheese pizza had a lot going on - tomato meat sauce, sweet mayo corn cheese, crispy/chewy mochi, and served with ranch. We liked the portion sizes of everything. The spaghetti and pizza were also served with complimentary small salads and soups which we really liked. Our waitress was the highlight of our experience! She was super sweet and kind. She saw us taking pics of the food and offered to take a picture of us with the food lol. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu! read more

We came here right when they opened at 11:30AM and soon after, the restaurant filled up and groups were waiting outside. It was a random Thursday. Where did all these people come from? Lol. I guess that is an indicator that this restaurant is worth the hype. Well now, I can attest that it definitely is! We ordered the Salmon Mushroom Risotto and the Mentaiko Cream Spaghetti to share between 2 people. Both dishes were packed with umami.. so so good! We will come back to try their dinner menu. Service was great and ambiance was very cute, very demure, very mindful (am I doing the trend, right?). Tip: There is no "La Casa Mia" sign outside the restaurant, so don't look for one while driving in circles like me. Just look for 1708. read more

Such a cute & cozy little restaurant. Been wanting to try this place since the one in Santa Clara opened up & my friends & I went to this location. So glad we went! Food was good, I got the Mentaiko Pasta and added Salmon for protein, it was just the right amount & love the creaminess of the pasta! Our server (hopefully the name on the receipt is her name) Midori was amazing!! She was such a vibe & trust we will be going back not just for food but for her too! read more

I came with a large party of six people but we did not share food so I can only speak for what I ate. I ordered the Carbara (nonspicy--I know, I am a baby), and it was very savory and delicious. Service was by far one of the best I've ever had. I went here on a Saturday evening for a friend's birthday and I honestly expected to wait, but was surprisingly seated immediately. Only 3/5 were present but they were kind to seat us. After half an hour, a sixth person, who wasn't sure if she could make it, unexpectedly arrived and the staffs accomdated us with more chairs. We also brought an outside cake and the staff helped us store it in the back during the dinner. When it came to lighting the candles, they came to help us as well. Throughout the dinner, the restaurant became more and more packed but not once did any of the employees appeared annoyed or were slow to attend to our requests. At the end, one even stopped by to sweetly chat with us and wished my friend a happy birthday. It really was such a small and kind gesture. The inside decor was incredibly cute as well and I really enjoyed it. read more

Food was amazing. Got the seafood risotto and it was a perfect balance of salty and creamy. Mentaiko pasta was flavorful, highly recommend. The lunch special is worth it for sure! Service was quick and staff were very friendly. read more
Such a cute litter lunch/dinner place! Lots of parking at it's in a busy plaza. All the dishes are Japanese/Italian fusion. I've gone twice and the first time I ordered mentaiko pasta and uni pasta, both of which were not my favorite. The pastas both tasted kinda of bland sauce wise. Second time I went I ordered sukiyaki pasta which tasted much better. Also lacking any bold flavor but I like the flavor of the sukiyaki. It was very light tasting. The mayo cheese mochi pizza was called meat sauce pizza if I recall correctly (?) and the crust was verrry think with a lot of cheese and corn on top. I thought it tasted good but was definitely missing something. Nothing I've tried here has any spice and I think I wished it had some. Service has always been great and very quick. I'd recommend trying at least once! read more
Happy another La Casa Mia location opened, and the interior was just like their Santa Clara location. Looks like they finally got their update and no more ramen here as well. Like that they take reservations via Tock as well. It was pretty empty on a Friday, but quickly filled up. Was seated at a table that kept rocking so they were able to move us. We ordered drinks, and my friend's strawberry calpico cocktail was tasty and refreshing. We ordered their truffle fries which came out quick and piping hot. Our pastas came out immediately after, which I wish there was a little bit of a space in between to enjoy the appetizer first. I ordered their carbonara and decided to get it spicy. It was quite spicy for me, next time I'll get it less spicy if it's possible. Service was good and enjoyed our dinner here. read more
I want to love this place I really do - but the service, wait, and quality of the food doesn't really justify the price and experience. First, you'll need to make a reservation if you're going for dinner or be prepared to wait up to an hour and MAYBE get a table. We waited about 45 minutes after being told 20 minutes. We had specifically came to this location because the Santa Clara one told us they couldn't get us in earlier than 45 minutes. There were maybe 3-4 waiters/waitresses but it was still difficult to get their attention once seated. We wanted some chili flakes and raised our hands multiple times in a 10 minute window every time a waiter walked by but they never looked our way. Ultimately I had to stand up and walk to the back to ask. The food is good depending on what you get. My favorite dishes are the uni pasta and the risotto. The uni pasta is slightly pricey though considering how small the portion is. When I first went the mushroom pizza was $22 which was fair but I think it's $29 now. Not super expensive but also not really worth it. The salmon pasta was dry and the salmon was over cooked. Overall, a mid experience. read more

This place was a little hard to find since they don't have an updated store sign yet! Look for a green sign with their name on it. We came here on a Saturday around 11am, I'd recommend getting a reservation. It got pretty packed around 12! Takoyaki: 4/5 Great flavor but eating out of the spoons were kinda awkward and challenging. Be careful since the inside is hot almost burned my tongue lol Mentaiko cream spaghetti: 4/5 Pasta was perfectly cooked, wish there was more mentaiko flavor. Portions look small but this sauce is richer so it's the perfect amount. Kabocha cheesecake: 5/5 This was delicious!! subtle, light, and a unique flavor that isn't sold everywhere. Overall, the space is really cute and prices aren't bad for lunch. Great for dates, catchup with friends, and they even have tables for parties of 6! read more
This review is for La Casa Mia. Newly redecorated and revamped! Simple decor, updated. We made reservations for 4 people on Saturday. Thankfully, we did because the restaurant was pretty crowded. I am glad this cuisine appeals to more people The service was youthful, nice, sweet, and attentive. Tokyo Style Takoyaki: Octopus dumpling. Nice and eye-catching presentation. Carbonara: Egg Yolk, Parmesan, Cream. My friend said, "They could eat bowls and bowls of this because it was simple yet classic." Salmon and Ikura Spaghetti: Salmon Roe, Salmon, Shimeji Mushroom, Butter, Soy Sauce, Green Onion, Daikon Radish, Flying Fish Roe. This was recommended by our server, and she was right. "Savory and lots of umami!" I highly recommend this. The noodles were more like a medium-thick ramen that was firm yet chewy. Mentaiko Mayo Mochi Cheese Pizza: Tomato sauce, Spicy Cod Roe, Mayo, Mochi, Sausage, Potato, Mentaiko Mayo and Greens. This was a tasty Japanese-Italian fusion pizza. The crust was super thin, so it needed to be folded up like a New York Style pizza in order to eat. We didn't get any greens (green onions) at all on our pizza! We saw on other tables who ordered the same pizza as us, and it was a few pieces anyway. LOL. They have desserts from Ikuka Bakery also! Kabocha Pumpkin Burnt Basque Cheesecake and Choco Banana Tart. Been wanting to try this spot since it seems to be the only bay area place offering mentaiko pizza. Came on a Monday which meant complimentary Sangria, which was surprisingly strong. The mentaiko pizza was delish, the sausage and mochi were very generous. The carbonara was just ok. This place was super cute and staff was super attentive. Loved everything about this place. Service and ambiance was great! Everything was served quickly. The mentaiko cream spaghetti was to die for and I highly recommend it. We also ordered the japanese mushroom melody pizza which I wasnt a big fan of, but my partner liked it. Limited options for dessert - chocolate mousse was the only one available and was delish! Not overly sweet. Would come back again to dry other dishes!!! read more

This place is so cute! Looks like a great date place with Japanese pasta!! We came by for lunch and although there were many people there, there wasn't a wait yay! Also the food came super fast! We had the takoyaki which were served on spoons, they were delicious! Then hubs had the carbonara - such yummy flavors! I had the salmon ikura pasta which was so good too - tasted like soy sauce and butter sauce? I can't wait to come back and try the dinner menu!! Must try if you're in the hood! read more

Came here with a group of 3 on a Saturday for lunch around 12:30 and there were plenty of open tables!! I was so excited to try out La Casa Mia because of the unique cuisine they serve. Food (We ordered family style and shared everything): - Carbonara (Added Spicy Sauce): 4/5 Flavor on this was really good!! It felt very homemade, but there was nothing that stood out to me about this dish. I did like it more than the Mentaiko Cream Spaghetti though. - Mentaiko Cream Spaghetti: 4/5 Very unique flavor and the cod roe was delicious. It was a bit salty, but maybe that is because of the cod roe. Service: Food came out relatively fast and they were nice :-) Ambiance: The aesthetic of the restaurant is SO CUTE. I love the decor and it's clean inside. Feels more like a little tea shop rather than an Italian/Japanese restaurant, but that's okay because it is cute haha Pricing: $$ Averages to around $20-$25 per person if you order separate pasta dishes and appetizers. Reasonably priced for a nice pasta meal. Parking: Lots of parking in the plaza. Will probably come back to try other things on the menu! Everything looks so good! read more

This restaurant location is very cute and small, so be wary of long wait times! Came here on a Saturday at 5:15 PM and there were already customers waiting in their cars and in line for the restaurant which opens at 5:30 PM. Luckily, since I came early, I was able to snag a table without reservation/waiting. Food came out pretty quick and hot. Mentaiko Cream Spaghetti - 5/5 stars. I normally don't like mentaiko, however, this spaghetti was served al dente which paired well with the mentaiko. Not too saucy. Meat Sauce Pasta with Pork Cutlet - 5/5 stars. The portion size of was just enough. The pork cutlet was crispy, served over hot pasta. I was hesitant because most restaurants usually do not serve enough meat sauce with pasta, but this dish had to perfect sauce to pasta ratio. Uni pasta - 4.5/5 stars. Normally I don't like uni pasta because some restaurants have an aftertaste, but La Casa Mia this dish was so flavorful that I didn't notice the regular uni aftertaste. Was anticipating for a thicker sauce, otherwise no complaints. Berry yakult - 5/5 stars. Presentation is beautiful and tastes great, however, I kept losing my straw underneath the ball of shaved ice as it was served in a tall glass. I have a sweet tooth so this drink wasn't too sweet for me. The service was great, we had very attentive waiters who offered us tongs, additional plates, and to go boxes. Overall: 4.87/5 stars, would definitely visit again to try different menu items. Worth the money! read more

Super cute little spot that serves Japanese Italian fusion style food! I tried the Tokyo style takoyaki and this were pretty good for the price! Moreover, I also had both the wagyu sauce noodles with the mentaiko ones. Personally, I felt like the flavors of each were really strong by themselves but because I was sharing with my partner I got to try half of both which made the flavors more balanced (imo). The service was pretty good. The folks working here were polite and professional. I didn't have any problems getting help when I needed it. The interior is super cute! It gives me brunch date vibes which I find difficult to locate in Milpitas. Would highly recommend taking your date here because it's not only good for pictures and vibes but also the food is pretty good! read more
I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it disappointed me again. I like the concept of a Japanese-Italian fusion and the tasty sounding dishes this place offers, but the food itself does not do the name justice. We got the mochi mentaiko pizza with the toppings being potato slices and what seems to be sliced hot dogs. Not impressive at all and will not be coming back. read more

While I was very excited to try this Italian Japanese fusion spot, I have to say it was underwhelming. The food was good but nothing mindblowing. The portions are a bit more generous than what you would usually get at an Italian restaurant but the pasta just tasted like box pasta mixed with sauce. It was cooked to al dente which was nice. The seafood pescatore pasta just tasted like pasta and tomato sauce with not much depth in the flavor of the sauce. The salmon shimeji spaghetti just tasted like pasta with soy sauce. The carbonara was the best out of the three pastas we got. It was rich and flavorful but the sauce does get tiring after a while. We also got french fries with truffle oil and the aioli was the best part of that dish. The fries were pretty thick and not very crispy. I think this is a place you go more for the cute French/cottagecore aesthetic rather than the food. However, I do want to say that while the food was just alright, the service was amazing. The servers were welcoming, friendly, and made sure to check up on us regularly! read more

Saw this spot popped up in a bunch of reels on IG so I wanted to check it out. They had their first location in Santa Clara and now their second location in Milpitas. Came here on a Friday night and it wasn't too packed. We had a reservation for a big group and got seated right away. FOOD: -Takoyaki: 8/10, good standard takoyaki -Salad: worth the price, big portion, good to share -Chicken Karaage: 8/10, sooo juicy and the pieces are big too -Mushroom pizza: one of my favorite bc of the different mushrooms they add on here -Carbonara: Pasta noodles are cooked to al dente, sauce was rich, heavy but flavorful at the same time -Sukiyaki: this one is my fav one, I would get it again. It's an udon version with sweet beef on there -Spaghetti with pork cutlet: I would skip on this. The pork was on the dryer side and the spaghetti didn't taste any special. The service was quick and the staff were nice. For a Friday night, our food came out quickly with everything prepared. read more

Really good asian fusion combo of Japanese and Italian cuisine! Highly recommend upgrading your pasta dishes to their Udon noodles bc the texture is much better. They have great specials too including Matcha Tiramisu, which was worth it too. Overall great service and setting for family nights and dates. read more

Would you believe I had La Casa Mia for both lunch and dinner today? I went with a friend to the Santa Clara location for lunch. It's quite out of the way for both of us but when it looked very appetizing thru Yelp so we went. We found out on the poster outside that the grand opening for Milpitas was today (3/15). We were glad there's a location closer to us for the next time we go. I told my sister about this place and we decided to go for dinner. I was curious to see if it was actually open and it was. It replaced Obaitori Ramen. We came around 6:30pm and were seated right away. There were a few parties but not too many. We didn't have any reservations which was fine but when it gets crowded then walk-ins would probably need to wait. The menu is simple and except they don't serve pizza (and potentially bruschetta?) here which is unfortunate. It was one of the reasons why I wanted to come back for dinner. Nonetheless we still ordered and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We got the baguette appetizer (w/ free refills), the Tokyo takoyaki, and the Mentai Cream Cod Pasta. The baguette was always warm when refilled which we appreciated. The takoyaki was delicious and came out super crispy and hot. There was a good amount of octopus and sauces all together. It was never soggy whatsoever. The mentai cream cod pasta was great as well. We used remaining baguettes to dip in the sauce which was great. I kinda wish there was more sauce for the bread. Would definitely come back to try their other menu items. read more

100% recommend and will come again. We came with no reservation and was able to get a table within 15 mins. We also got a table with our baby's back to a wall so that was a nice plus. It was also super busy for being the day after valentine's day. So recommend making a reservation beforehand. Everything we ordered was delicious and without a doubt would order again. We came hungry so we wanted to order with our eyes but we controlled ourselves. The servers were super friendly and very welcoming. If I didn't emphasize this enough, I highly recommend trying this place. The portions are great and the food tastes great. I wouldn't recommend large parties as the Milpitas location is on the cozy side. read more
It was hard to find. It's a banner with the name of the restaurant. I got sat very quickly. I did have to wait for a menu. I noticed all of the other tables had menus before you sat down. Then I waited 20 minutes for my order to be taken. Only 2 people working on the floor. VERY awesome drink menu! I ordered the one with Lychee and they didn't have it. So I got a glass of Chardonnay and it was really sweet. Got the meat sauce with pork cutlet- skip it. Cutlet was very chewy. The spaghetti was also sweeter. It's a smaller room and handles large groups. The large groups gets the room sounding loud. It was around 1pm and they had 3 large groups. One table got soup and salad with their meal. Enjoyed a quick brunch there. Got their mentaiko cream spaghetti and truffle fries. Definitely recommend the mentaiko spaghetti - delightfully creamy without being too heavy! The noodle texture was just the right amount of chewy/bounciness. The flavor of the truffle fries was good too but it was more of a potato wedge than a fry just fyi! We came on a weekend night with a large party of 11. The ambience and atmosphere: -has a cute and refreshing farmhouse look with green walls and flowery decor. -cozy and with 16 tables to accommodate parties of 2-4 people. Food - since I only took photos of food I was sitting, I didn't get a photo of everything. We enjoyed our dishes, each having its own unique taste. This was our first time trying Japanese Italian fusion. Here are a few of the dishes we tried, and also liked. Salmon spaghetti without roe (ikura) Light, not heavy sauce because it's w/ butter and soy sauce. I had the roe removed since I felt like eating the roe with pasta was stilll something I have to get used to. I liked that the mushrooms and radish complemented the pasta and salmon with its own flavors. Seafood Pescatore Bianco (white wine sauce) - simple and light, but delicious. Pork cutlet Spaghetti -My son told me "It was good!" which for me told me it was a win. Mentaiko Cream Spaghetti (hint of spice I believe due to the shiso leaves - which are similar to perilla leaves) Creamy texture, with tobiko and shiso leaves. My younger son liked the creamy texture. Service: The two servers/waitresses were very attentive throughout most of our meal. Even when we wanted to take a family photo, she went out of her way to help us get a good shot so everyone could be seen in the picture. We will be back again to try some different dishes. read more
Came here on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. The wait was not too bad. We were seated and ordered pretty quickly. The food was good although the portion sizes were somewhat small in my opinion. The food did take a while and we noticed that others also waited for a long time. It was a super cute place to visit. I just wish the portion sizes are a little bigger. read more

This is the second location of La Casa Mia, and it's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. The signage is not that noticeable, so it is not too easy to find. It is a good idea to have reservations; at least I know the location in Santa Clara is super busy. It is cute inside with the walls a pleasant shade of green. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. The service did get slow towards the end, though, and we needed to flag someone down to get out check and to-go boxes. I had the mushroom pizza and added extra toppings: tomatoes, corn & onion. (Pizza is on the dinner menu, but not the lunch menu.) It is a very thin crust and quite big, 14". First and foremost, the lady working there that greeted and served us was an absolute angel, such a sweetie. Soup was super solid. I was super excited for the pasta but was unfortunately kinda disappointed. Carbonara was good, but just good yk. I got the mentaiko cream as I wanted something more fushion-y and while very interesting, because there was definitely a lot more roe than it needed so I really couldn't finish it. However I took it home as leftovers and added some extra noodles, cream, and cheese to dilute it and actually that was delicious so I am kinda considering buying that dish again for me to take home read more
Everything was amazing here! I'd been wanting to come for some time and it fully lived up to my expectations. It's such a cute little restaurant in the corner and they've done a beautiful job with the theme and decor, love the little flowers and mason jar vibes. Service was amazing the staff were so sweet and friendly and all the food came out really quickly. We got the strawberry soju drink to start, which was absolutely delicious and perfectly sweet and the truffle fries appetizer, which was really tasty and yummy. We went with the carbonara, so creamy and the peperoncino was so nicely flavored. We didn't have room for dessert but we'll be back for that!! read more

We came here right at dinner opening without reservation and the staff were so accommodating letting us dine as long as we left in an hour. We agreed and honestly we didn't need the full hour as the staff were also pretty efficient in taking our orders and serving our food hot. The menu isn't complicated and we looked at it online which is also why we were able to have a better idea what to order. The food did not disappoint! I've always seen the Santa Clara location of this place but when I heard they opened in Milpitas we knew we had to try it. I got the seafood pescatore and they did not skip out on the seafood toppings like places would. My friend got the mentaiko cream tagaliatelle (not pictured) and when she mixed it I noticed it was very creamy. The kids plate also exceeded expectations as they come not only with pasta but a side of onion rings, mozzarella stick, potato salad, Yakult, and jelly. If you ever plan on coming to La Casa Mia I highly recommend you get a reservation to secure your table for your group! read more
I've been excited to try La Casa Mia and happened to be in the area so decided to give La Casa Mia Milpitas a try. It took over a ramen shop in a large plaza with plenty of parking, and it's located next to a Chinese fried chicken store. There's no large banner or signage yet so it's a bit hidden. The interior was super cute (reminds me of a cute afternoon tea place) and the staffs were all pretty nice and friendly. My friends and I ended up ordering the honey mustard chicken (karaage), wagyu meat sauce spaghetti with pork cutlet, and the salmon & shimeji risotto for lunch. It seems like this location or lunch had a more limited menu than the Santa Clara location, so we didn't have too many things to choose from. The honey mustard chicken was actually good and I would recommend it! The wagyu meat sauce spaghetti was OK, and on the more tart side and you can't really tell the wagyu/meat flavor very strongly. The pork cutlet add-on was a bit disappointing, with it being a bit over-fried and meat being dry and a bit on the tougher side. I wouldn't recommend this combo. The risotto took a while to come but it was creamy and flavorful, and was pretty good. Overall, I think the place is a cute hangout spot, but the food was just OK for me. It might be the dishes I ordered, but I think I will skip this location and try the Santa Clara one next time if I want to go back. read more
This cute place took over the old Obaitori Ramen place and if you are looking for some casual Japanese Italian twists look no further! And if you know me I love anything creamy. Here's what we ordered for party of 5: La Casa Mia Salad: $15 (4/5) nice sized shareable salad which tons of fresh veggies, avocado, corn, and radishes Tokyo Style Takoyaki: $9 (5/5) comes with 5 presented on spoons Honey Mustard Chicken: $12 (5/5) crunchy crispy chunks of chicken slathered in a yummy sweet tangy honey mustard sauce. Salmon Shimeji Mushroom Rissotto: $20 (5/5) super creamy with generous chunks of salmon, mushrooms topped with ginormous salmon roe and tobiko. Carbonara: $19 (5/5) that egg yes that perfectly poached egg on top of the bed of creamy noodles, just do it and watch it ooze into your noodles once cut. Can also opt for more spice too. Wagyu Meat Sauce Pasta with Premium Pork Cutlet: $26 (4/5) this was crispy fried pork on top of a really saucy spaghetti. Dessert we got the last of it. I dont even know what it was called but it was creamy like a flan with grapes on top. Its not even on their menu. So ask about it and maybe you'll get lucky like we did and got the last one! Drinks, we had sake. Their drinks menu all look pretty! Gotta go back and try the others! :) read more
