They salmon was slightly undercooked and had absolutely no flavor somehow the salmon flavor was also lost it was watery and flavorless the garlic bread tasted like it had no garlic on it ( Wich I think it didn't) and the marinara sauce tasted like tomato soup. Food was amazing! Unfortunately our experience overall was not. We got to the restaurant at 6:00, we go to this back room where there is already a pretty big party and our party is big as well. The room was very crowded and overwhelming. A few moments pass and we notice there is only one waitress taking care of both parties, combined it was over 30 people. Given the situation she was GREAT!! Our food took over 2 hours to get to us and after one of us went to talk to the manager about our experience the owner comes back there and singles out the person that "complained"... mind you she was speaking for all of us. After talking for a bit we notice one person got charged extra for something she didn't even get and after asking for a discounted price or for it to be taken off completely the owner tells us he's sorry but that's how they make money. So with all that being said I am very disappointed in the unprofessional behavior of the owner and the lack of respect for not only his customers but his wait staff as well. Our go to pizza and Italian restaurant. We don't order from anywhere else. Not only is the food simply fabulous, it is an authentically Italian atmosphere. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood. In 25 years I haven't felt as at home in any other restaurant. If you order pasta, be sure to spend the extra 2$ for the homemade pasta, if it's available. You will be impressed. Not too pricy. Before I complain we did have a large group. After ordering our food it took 1 hr 10 min for food to come out. To make it worse the food came out at all different times. Pasta came our way before the main meat. The last order came out 15 min after the order before that. When someone in our party mentioned to the waitress about taking 1 hr 10 min for food to come out. However.. there was a gnat in our salad and when the meals came, the chicken was extremely overdone no matter what meal. The flounder special came out cold. All the meals came at different times. My daughter ordered simple penne and it was forgotten until well after everyone else's meals came and we asked multiple times. Instead of a children's meal ($6.50), we were charged $10. The manager was sincere and apologetic and discounted the bill $20. One of the meals we sent back for being inedible, was still on the bill! Plenty of parking relaxed atmosphere, great staff, good selection of wine by the glass. We started with calamari which was cooked perfectly and enough for four. The batter was a little salty. Entre we had chicken parm over fresh made pasta, really nice. Veal saltimbocca, the veal was good but parts were tough, and the risotto pescadore, which was filled with fresh shellfish however was a strange take on risotto, the rice was overdone. In order: The event room was rearranged with card tables/linen table cloths for 2; Big screen tv was playing 80's hits initially, by the time we left dining music was available; Fixed Menu, something I did not know. I'd made on line reservations, did not talk to anyone to make the reservation; No chiller for a bottle of white wine; The pasta arrived (on cold plate) very quickly while we were still eating our anti pasta. It was obvious they needed to turn the tables; The main course arrived (on cold plate), was more room temp than warm, forget hot. We were going to send it back to be reheated and then decided we'd just leave. The manager graciously wanted to understand our decision, offered we could order off menu, they were already IN THE WEEDS. We drove the 34 miles back home, disappointed, especially since COVID has curtailed dining out, but also old enough to laugh about it. Might be a while before we return. I wanted their risotto pescatori which the menu said had a choice of either homemade or gluten free pasta. We made our first visit to La Casetta last night and were extremely pleased with the excellent Italian food and family friendly environment. The appetizers were delicious, we enjoyed bruschetta as well as perfectly cooked calamari. We shared several entrées including the four cheese tortellini, muscles in red sauce, and an amazing rigatoni in a wild mushroom-based sauce. My daughter loved the four cheese tortellini and I thought the muscles in red sauce were amazing. We enjoyed some garlic bread but made sure to save room for dessert. Don't miss the limoncello cake or the cannoli both we're outstanding. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed talking with the owner and his wife who both stopped by the table to check on us. We thought the prices were reasonable and servings were large. Disappointed in the "homemade" rigatoni for an extra $3. Tasted same as boxed from grocery store. Marinara sauce was nothing special. They are very skimpy on meat, even where meatballs or sausage listed as a main ingredient. The meat is almost like a garnish with a very few thin slices of sausage or 1 or 2 small meatballs sliced in half so it looks like more. I can't tell you how delicious this place was. It was very busy and we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, but that was not a problem! Our server was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. That's rare for a new restaurant! We started with Pannette Medeterranea and it was incredible. I could have sworn they had a brick oven in the kitchen. It was piled with fresh toppings and the arugula was beautiful. Finished with balsamic glaze. We both had side salads which were pretty tiny for an add on salad. The in house made italian dressing was very good. For our entrees We had Linguini with Clam sauce and the Linguini pescatore. Food was fantastic--we got the potato skins (pretty standard), then my friend got a calzone and I got a salad and rigatoni alla Norma. SO GOOD! The eggplant and the sauce were perfect. And the portion sizes are good for the price. We were stuffed so we both got dessert to go--cannoli and a special amaretto tiramisu, both delicious. Service was okay, we had a waitress switch to our table midway through our meal so there was a little confusion but no real problem. Very friendly too so it wasn't a big deal. The only thing I didn't like was the ranch dressing because I hate Hidden Valley-ish ranch, but that's not worth a star so they still get a definite 5 from me, and I'll get thousand island next time. :) read more

I think we have found our favorite Italian restaurant. We had calamari as an appetizer, it was the best I've had since leaving Sicily. They make their own pasta fresh each day. For our meal I had RigatoniSiciliano, my husband had Penne with sausage. I would recommend reservations if you are thinking of going on weekends.
