This place was cute and clean. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the burrito I ordered could have had less beans and more meat. But as far as flavor it was good. The tacos were good. Our food came out quick.

Ready for a great meal... we picked burritos; carne asada $14.99 is a good choice too.

A Family owned place, very clean and welcoming. They also have a food truck, so they are already experts at working together quickly as a team. Lots of choices, we each had burritos- me a Supremo, hubby a Californian. The beef was steak, well seasoned and a good portion with beans , sour cream, cheese, rice , sauce, salsa. Hubby had added Guacamole and onions, Came with fresh thin hot tortilla chips, pickled veggies- salad with radishes, peppers, cauliflower, a nice addition. Enjoyed the festive colorful eat-in dining area, pretty tablecloth -table for 4. Lots of room, space in between tables made our meal relaxing and enjoyable. Enjoyed Mexican Coke and Fritos- the meal was served quickly. Great service too. Easy parking- lot to the side. Easy to get to freeway. Clean bathrooms. Thanks for a good lunch. We'll be back.

Also they have the hot Cheeto burrito and it was amazing, super cheesy !! Decoration of the place 10/10. Service 10/10

Came on a Sunday and their menudo was so good with the fresh tortillas and their super tacos were so good. I asked if they could make the tortilla crunchy for the taco and was so good for the price. I definitely recommend

Not bad at all! Our first time ordering from Grub Hub. The food arrived hot and fresh as it was made and was not cold in any way. They do give you lots to eat. My burrito looked bigger than most places that served up Super Burritos. Did not take that long to arrive. But glad we tried out something different for a change. If we are ever in the area we may consider trying this out. Note - I noticed in the app, it had a number 2 next to the business. I am not sure if this signifies it's a food truck or something or if it's another branch of the business. Nonetheless we're happy we tried and liked! $33.00 for Sopes, Burrito and a Soda before tip and delivery.

One of the few places to get good Mexican food, including faves like a burrito bowl (that's not from Chipotle) and a hot cheeto burrito. There's plenty of vegetarian options, as well. I've only been here twice after phoning in an order for take out and have been extremely happy both times! The hot cheeto burrito is out of this world! Will definitely come back for a true dining experience to enjoy the cute and authentic décor and try the tacos.

Spec-taco-lar food! Hayward is very lucky to have a more formal location for this awesome Mexican food spot. I believe La Chaparrita had a food truck for several years with a strong following in Hayward; but, they now have a brick and mortar location here at 44 W. Tennyson. Take that as a great sign their food is tasty. So far I've tried their tacos, burrito bowl, and quesadillas. I have been extremely impressed with the freshness and taste of the food here compared to other Mexican restaurants (especially the chain spots like Chipotle). The tacos were so tasty I barely blinked a few times before they were gone; the quesadilla impressed me with the quality and taste of the meat (I ordered carne asada). Not to mention, the portions were more than adequate for leftovers. 400% I am going back to try their other options such as the hot Cheeto burrito. Did I mention they're also affordable and available through ubereats and other apps?

The food was on point. My husband got the super burrito that he loved. Had some crunch to it and it was THICK. I got the Torta la CHAPARRITA that had so much meat and great seasoning. Honestly can't wait to go back and try their other items. It was an authentic Mexican food experience. Loved it.

To start this review off I just want to say that when it comes to Mexican food specifically I am very picky, i've lived in Hayward for years and so many people till this day will recommend Senaida's, which is right down the street but I really believe that people only go there because it's drive-thru and convenient. I say that because I've been there three different times and got three different dishes and I've never been impressed by their food, I decided to try this place and oh my gosh I've found my Oasis! This is what I've been looking for, One of the meat was greasy and the beans are made just the way my Nana makes them! The inside of the restaurant is clean and has an open floorplan, I ordered a carne asada sope and taco al pastor with rice and beans, next I'll try the hot Cheetos burrito! Maybe today! Great job! I'll be a regular for sure!

Finally got the chance to try this place out, and it was pretty good! I've been looking for a hot Cheetos burrito, and this one hit the spot. We ordered two burritos one hot Cheetos with Asada the other super burrito(my partner enjoyed this) with asada as well. The beef was a bit chewy but only in a few spots, so the texture was really the only issue I had. Flavor was great, service was good, the food was walked out to our table, overall pretty chill place with decent eats. Check it out if you need a quick heavy lunch. 4/5

Discovered by my son who loves flaming hot Cheetos because they serve a burrito made with it. I prefer to get my street tacos in carne asada, carnitas and pastor. There's a side parking lot available and inside is quite spacious and clean. The sauce is delicious and flavorful. Quick and friendly service, don't miss it even though there's many other Mexican restaurants on this street!

I can't say enough good things about the staff that took care of us. Jessica, Pepe, and the manager Luis ensured that our event ran smoothly. Jessica took care of our drink orders and Pepe made sure the food Buffett was regularly replenished. Both of them constantly cleaned up around the cocktail tables, ensuring that the area stayed presentable throughout the event. The Mexican always has great pricing on drinks so the guests enjoyed a variety of them. The food was delish and everything served was not only pretty to look at but also tasty. They also let us use their mic and speaker system, which I think is a plus. All in all we loved having our event at the Mexican and would recommend this venue to anyone wanting to host an intimate event.

We arrived around 4:30 on a Sunday and were seated in the bar area. After waiting 10-15 minutes with no water, chips, or salsa, we still had no idea who was supposed to be serving us. The bartenders never acknowledged us, and nobody stopped by to even say, "We'll be right with you" or thank us for our patience. Eventually, someone came over and asked if we were ready to order. Our food arrived almost right away, but my fiancé realized his added carne asada was missing. The waiter didn't bring it out until he was nearly finished with his meal because he never rang it in.. I ordered the combination fajitas, and they were just okay. The entire time, there was a woman walking around in a blazer who appeared to be a manager, but she seemed more focused on training the bartender than checking on guests. Had she been paying attention, she would have clearly seen how frustrated we were. When our server finally brought the check, we noticed we had been charged twice for the chilaquiles, plus separately for the carne asada that didn't even arrive with the meal. After another 5 minutes, I flagged down who I believe was the manager to fix the bill. She corrected it and brought it back, but then we were left waiting another 5-10 minutes for our server to actually process the payment. The waiter never even thanked us before we left. Overall, the experience was incredibly disappointing, especially considering how much we enjoyed this place in the past. Neither of us plans to return.

Not a lot of taco spots are open late at 10p but I saw that PNT was open. My family and I pulled into the driveway and were confused because it looked and sounded like a bar. There were a few people standing outside and I asked if this was a bar or restaurant and the gentleman said it's a restaurant. We walk in and got some stares because it was late and we had kids. Didn't matter to us. Everything on the menu sounded delish and they had al day breakfast items. We ended up going with the following: 1. Chicken sandwich- 10/10 my teen loved this. It was a crispy thinly sliced chicken breast with all the fixings, and pressed to perfection. 2. Chicken Caesar salad - 10/10 the lettuce was Romain, tossed in Caesar dressing and parm, with grilled chicken filet. 3. 4 tacos de asada - 10/10 yummy chopped steak, seasoned and grilled to perfection. I'm not sure if the evening chef cooks better or maybe we were starving, but the food was great! Ambience at the time was pretty loud but I figure it's because people hanging out in the bar area. Chips and dip (guac and salsa)- chips are oily and hard to chew. Guac was bland, no garlic or cut tomato. Salsa was a viscous sludge in a small tub, had the same pepper taste as the Al Pastor. Horchata drink- too much cinnamon and saw multiple lidded to go cups of this already made in the fridge behind the register, no expiration dates on them. ALSO PLEASE UPDATE THE PRICES ON YOUR MENU, I was charged $11.95 for the chips and dip but the menu says "house chips and guac $9.50" ... how is salsa $2.45? Only positive thing I would mention is that the free tiny salsa, slice of lime, sliced radish, and pickled jalapeño and carrot was nice of them. Wish the pickled veggies didn't drip vinegar all over the bag (it was wrapped in tin foil). Never been here before and never coming back again.
