Great food fast service atmosphere was nice. Although it was breakfast time and they had a great selections to choose from. I opted for a combo plate which included a beef enchilada a taco along with beans and rice. The hard shell taco was fantastic, the shell was crispy, crunchy and paper thin. I never tasted anything like it before. Also the enchilada was very good. Located on the corner edge of some business offices, it's very easy to miss. They also have a full bar the dining area has ample seating with tables and chairs. Which I prefer over booths.

. The customer service was horrible. I asked for a manager and Gille (bartender) told me they didn't have one.

Just had a really bad experience where the bartender refused to placed my order because I was sitting in the bar. She kept asking me that I had to go to the cashier to place an order or sit on a table which made no sense since she was working the bar. The customer service was horrible. I asked for a manager and Gille (bartender) told me they didn't have one.

Had a work-sponsored lunch for a coworker's birthday. The Mexican food here is fantastic, and it was absolutely filling and flavorful. I really enjoyed the steak and chicken dish. Service was great, and they even helped us keep a birthday cake in the fridge until we were ready for it for dessert. Great for groups. Highly recommend.

My sister's coworker recommended Mexico Tipico and said "Everything is good" so we didn't take her high praise lightly. Finally had the chance to check this place out with my sister over the weekend. Rating Breakdown: 2/2 Stars for Taste -- My sister was feeling a little under the weather so she ordered the posole. The waitress asked her something and my sister didn't catch it even though the waitress repeated herself twice, so she just said "Yes" (social anxiety for the win). Turns out she was asking if my sister wanted "pata"or pork trotters in the posole, for which HECK YES is the only correct answer. The pata was melt in your mouth delicious and the other cuts of pork in the soup were also so,so fork tender. I ordered the nopales (cactus) scramble, which is one of my favorites. The beans that it came was such an umami bomb, I was scraping the plate clean. Both of these came with your choice of flour or corn tortillas and we are team corn tortilla all the way. My husband ordered the chilaquiles con carne asada with red salsa, which was also very good. 1/1 Stars for Value -- I was a little hesitant at first because each platter was about $20 each, but the portion sizes are humongous. The platters are each about the size of a hubcap. We ordered the large soup so we could share, but we could definitely have done with the smaller portion. We had plenty of leftovers to bring home for breakfast the next day. There is also complimentary chips and salsa for the table and the salsa tasted housemade. 1/1 Stars for Customer Service-- We came for Saturday brunch and just beat the rush. This place was bumping by the time we were leaving. Even though it got busy, the waitress was super attentive and fast. It was never hard to flag her down for service. Bonus star because I'll definitely be back for Mexican breakfast but there are also a ton of other things on the menu that I'm dying to try.

My in laws are extremely difficult to take out to eat as they are very picky and are old fashioned Mexican born boomers. My son just brought them here earlier in the week and when we went to take them out this Sunday to their other favorite restaurant which was closed so they chose this place. Again, that's unheard of that they would go out to eat twice in same week, usually if my mother in law wants Mexican food then she makes it, in our family all beans and rice are measured to her version and that is a very high bar, so my expectation were quite high and I was excited to try this place. Cute place in main strip into UC and in an industrial park so of out of the way from anything else so lots of parking.. They had a nice outside garden and sat us in their back room reserved for larger groups, we had 6 people. The place is decorated nicely with cool old pics on walls and the service was pretty good. My in laws apparently always get the siete mar soup which is this huge mix of seafood in a spicy broth. They loved that dish and really enjoyed it, they gave it a solid 4+. My daughter and her husband shared the chile rellenos and a wet burrito and they love their food, won't steal my son in laws thunder he will do his own review..... Wife had a wet chicken burrito and I had a fried whole fish. My wife enjoyed the wet burrito but we specifically asked for no guacamole because she is allergic. We did not say she was allergic at first just no guacamole in hers. When they brought the food it had guacamole so we asked if they could deal with it and the waitress remembered and said she asked for no guacamole but kitchen messed up. We said no worries and then told her that wife had allergies so then she asked if they could "wipe" it off, we were confused by that request and nicely repeated that "no" she is allergic so wiping off won't help. Waitress came back a few minutes later with no guacamole but that was a weird interaction. My sense is management has a strict no take back policy or something and waitress just trying to keep everyone happy??? We gave them benefit of the doubt no concerns just weird. I had the fish which we were going to share but right off new wife would not like. I make way better fish and I think issue was that it was not fresh. The sauces that came with were great and their beans and rice are excellent but my fish was a 2.5 at best. Chips were really good and again table seemed divided with ratings all over the place, I tried my wife's burrito and it was ok not great but she liked it. Decor and service I'll give it a 4.5, benefit of doubt given with the guacamole thing. Food I am going to go to a 3.5 as I average everyone and if we come here again I will try something else just the whole fried fish was not my flavor also it seemed kind of expensive for the food since we got no alcoholic drinks so there are much better options in my mind in Hayward for Mexican food. When we take out in-laws again they will want to come here so I will try something else but on our own again better and more affordable options all over the bay.

Love this place! Ive been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Food is so delicious, some of my favorite dishes include molcajete, chiles rellenos, camarones a la diabla, and enchiladas de mole. The restaurant is always very clean and beautiful decorated.

Guac is not looking fresh at all. Wth were they thinking giving me this.

We knew immediately this was our vibe. We sat down and read through the menu. A lot of dishes I wasn't familiar with, so naturally I defaulted to what I knew -- quesadilla de camarón. My wife did the smart thing and asked for recommendations. Mauricio suggested three dishes and she chose the last one- I think it was because something about tequila . When it was my turn, I proudly placed my order. Without missing a beat, Mauricio looked at me and said, "Bro, you can get that anywhere -- you should try this." He began describing the dish, then pointed to his dad sitting patiently at a corner table. "That's his invention." No more words needed. I said sold. Our dishes arrived and we immediately moved them to the center of the table so we could share both. I had the seafood fajitas -- shrimp, fish, fajita vegetables, and the most tender, flavorful pulpo I've ever had. All the seafood was cooked perfectly: tender but not falling apart. But the octopus and the sauce were something special. Chef Jose came to check on us and I told him about the pulpo. His eyes lit up as he began describing his preparation process -- then he said, "You want to see?" He walked me right into his kitchen and showed me the octopus being prepared. That moment alone was worth the visit. By the time we returned to our table, the restaurant had started to fill up. We continued enjoying our food, including the handmade soft tortillas that came with my dish -- don't sleep on those. Chef Jose stopped by again, sharing more stories, more passion, more of himself. Before we even finished eating, we were already planning our next visit for happy hour and dinner with the family. This is a perfect example of what Will Guidara calls Unreasonable Hospitality -- unexpected, personalized, and genuinely human. Mauricio and Chef Jose aren't just running a restaurant. They're sharing something they love, and you feel it in every bite and every interaction. Thank you, Mauricio and Jose. We'll be back.

The Fajitas de Mariscos came with tons of seafood in a savory sauce. It came with rice w/corn and beans. We also had the Camarones Costa Azul which was jumbo shrimp wrapped with bacon in a savory tomato sauce + cheese. Definitely a heavy dish but pretty tasty! I really liked the homemade tortillas here; they were so soft and went well with the shrimp and fajitas. Prices are in the higher end but portions are also huge! There seemed to be just a husband and wife when we dined. They were very welcoming and helpful with explaining the menu. Place was very spacious with lots of seating.

The sopes: Got 2 carnitas sopes and the meat was perfect. Soft but with a slight crisp and the flavor was all there. Plenty of cheese that caused a nice cheese pull. The steak nachos: They use shredded mozzarella but I don't think it was enough. A lot of the chips were bare and the ones that had it were dried out. The guac and sour cream balanced it out. The tacos: We got asada, chicken, and buche. Your average yellow tortilla perfectly oiled and heated up. I do feel like they skimped on the amount of meat they put on the asada tacos and the quality of the meat wasn't the best as there was a lot of fatty pieces. The winning meat was definitely the buche. It was fried just right and had a lot of flavor. The chicken was also very well seasoned and juicy. The green salsa was superior to the red salsa. It had a good heat level that wasn't overpowering like the red one. I appreciated that they added the pickled veggies on the side. Overall, a solid taco and sope spot. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

We arrived around 4:30 on a Sunday and were seated in the bar area. After waiting 10-15 minutes with no water, chips, or salsa, we still had no idea who was supposed to be serving us. The bartenders never acknowledged us, and nobody stopped by to even say, "We'll be right with you" or thank us for our patience. Eventually, someone came over and asked if we were ready to order. Our food arrived almost right away, but my fiancé realized his added carne asada was missing. The waiter didn't bring it out until he was nearly finished with his meal because he never rang it in.. I ordered the combination fajitas, and they were just okay. The entire time, there was a woman walking around in a blazer who appeared to be a manager, but she seemed more focused on training the bartender than checking on guests. Had she been paying attention, she would have clearly seen how frustrated we were. When our server finally brought the check, we noticed we had been charged twice for the chilaquiles, plus separately for the carne asada that didn't even arrive with the meal. After another 5 minutes, I flagged down who I believe was the manager to fix the bill. She corrected it and brought it back, but then we were left waiting another 5-10 minutes for our server to actually process the payment. The waiter never even thanked us before we left. Overall, the experience was incredibly disappointing, especially considering how much we enjoyed this place in the past. Neither of us plans to return.
