Cold brew late was amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean bathroom for customers and plenty of seating inside and a few seats outside. Perfect stop if you're waiting for a bus or need to refuel before/after the Liberty Bell. Very spacious building and clean.

Great coffee shop! One of the first places I had to visit in the area and was not disappointed. Service was great! It gets busy inside with the rush but service was quick and efficient. I ordered a chai latte which was delicious and strong. Highly recommend.

Coffee Shop No. 460 La Colombe - Market East Philadelphia, PA January 17, 2025 This coffee shop was next to our parking garage so we had to stop before heading home. The space was clean and organized. There was pl. The barista was friendly and the cortado was delicious. No complaints here. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

I really like the coffee here! Lots of yummy pastries to choose from too! Seating is pretty ample and a really cute spot for a date or to read a book!

Only went here for a meetup & did not get anything to eat or drink (brought my own). It's a cute place to meet & chit chat @. We sat at the hightop community table to color and it was a good size. Any larger parties, not sure if they could accommodate b/c the tables are bolted down & you can't put them together. The drinks looked good & smelled great but their food menu looked limited. There were customers who constantly walked away with a delicious drink but not many walked away with something to eat. There was seating outside that was decent. WIll be good for warmer weather. Love that it's located right on Market Street!

I love pastry so my husband bought almond croissant and early grey scone for me from La Colombe. I'm really impressed by the flavor of both item, especially the almond croissant--definitely one of the best I've ever had. While the earl grey scone tastes good, the earl grey flavor is quite subtle--it's definitely there but not as strong as I expected.

Service was fast and staff was friendly. There's a lot of room to sit inside or outside. The vibe is open and the place was clean. We had a group of 12 so there were a lot of us. We got the draft latte -- really good, hot chocolate-- great, drip coffee- excellent! Outdoor seating is a great view right near the liberty bell!

it was a vibe--nice service, clean facilities, and warm inside during a rainy day ‍ I ordered a regular cortado and thought that it was pretty foamy, but I like that. would come back again!

My new favorite spot in Center City for coffee. The staff is friendly. They helped me pick out an espresso and were able to tell me the notes of each. The strawberry specials they have right now (Spring 2024) are amazing. We came back 2 days in a row. The cortados are out of control good. My husband got a strawberry oat draft latte. I also got a jasmine citrus iced tea. Casual, but the decor is nice. 1000/10, will be back as soon as I'm in town.

Raining hard outside near the Liberty bell! Came in to get a cup of Jo and have been very pleasantly surprised! Nice workers, decent prices and great coffee. Grateful for this plac

Cutest coffee shop! The interior is beautiful! The coffee art is beautiful! And everything about it is great! We ordered two cappuccinos with almond milk :) they have a variety of pastries to choose from tarts, croissants, and more.

This is one glamorous location of the famed, Philadelphia-originating La Colombe Coffee. It is located in the Independence Mall near the Liberty Bell and possesses ultra tall windows, an expansive floor plan, a twinkling chandelier overhead, and several rigid wooden tables. I do not recall seeing any outlets at these seats, so it seems the shop does not really cater to the studious and laborious worker with laptop in tow. I had a simple drip coffee and was offered a spoon and plate for adding and mixing milk from their self-serve station. How fancy. The coffee was decent, maybe thin and a little weak, however. It was a pleasant shop as the windows allowed for plenty of natural lighting to filter in. How lovely to have a dependable go-to local chain in place of an over-commercialized Starbucks.

I don't think I've ever visited an an hour where I've seen it not. Often a line going from the counter, down the stairs, all the way to the bathroom. If you're looking for a quick coffee stop, don't expect to be in and out of here. That being said, they've got some kinds of seating not typical of coffee shops, including this nice long U-shaped couch seating. You'll be around with other folks reading or enjoying their joe, but it's a nice change of pace. Working-wise, wi-fi is solid. Outlets are sparse. Hard to stay a long time here. Music is at least at a tolerable level to tune out and is not usually too bumping. Staff here are quick, but won't be the friendliest. They won't be rude either. They're just trying to get through the line so don't take it personally Overall: would much prefer other places like Capital One Cafe for the reasons I visit cafes, but I can see this being a nice place for other more leisurely-natured visits!

It is a very small shop, so there are only a few tables inside, along with a few outside depending on the weather. Although small, the interior is clean and cozy. A single restroom is available. Parking is on the street. Mild noise level. They have a good amount of drink options, including rotating specials, as well as pastries, bread, and misc items like granola and coffee beans. The drinks are delicious - definitely recommend their matcha. The pastries are huge, flavorful, and filling. Slightly dry but I did go right before closing. They have a nice variety of flavors (both sweet and savory), so most palettes will be satisfied. Prices are definitely fair. If I weren't just a traveler passing through, this would easily become a regular spot for me. It's at least on the "must return to" list! 10/10 recommend.

We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

The style of the café was great with a modern and clean, yet warm enough to make those early morning hours seem somewhat purposeful, and not as rushed as they could be!
