A well-known Philadelphia coffee shop, this is its branch in Reading Station Market. I didn't do much research this time, otherwise I would have gone to the original store in the Old City. Latte: Even the small cup was quite large, and it was really delicious! They have different "coffee of the day" every day; this one was from Ethiopia, and the bitterness and aroma were richer and smoother than usual. read more

Nice little spot tucked away in a cozy corner at Reading Terminal. They have a bunch of specialty drinks included cappuccinos and the like, but I got the double espresso for $3.50. It was delicious and perked me right up! Very refreshing for a coffee lover! Service was as quick and friendly as I could ask for an espresso order. read more

Friendly staff, even better coffee! Glad I stopped in for a late morning coffee! Had a PA Maple Syrup Cappuccino and it was the perfect amount of sweet and caffeine to get me going for the day. The front of the store is a little cramped when it gets busy but the back seating area seemed cozy and quiet enough for a nice study break or work session. Every time we head back home to Philly we always make a point of hitting Reading Terminal Market for lunch, and for our beverages of choice, we both enjoyed iced vanilla lattes from Old City Coffee! We've enjoyed various caffeinated beverages here before, this is just the first time Yelping them, and the coffee was just as delicious as we remembered it the first time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was relatively quick, despite Reading Terminal typically being pretty crowded, and the prices were on the higher end.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But overall, there's plenty of options to choose from, and we very much enjoyed heading back home. Really delicious coffee. Smooth, rich but not too bitter, if at all. I drink my coffee iced and black during the summer. This means that i get the real coffee flavor in a direct hit, the way i like it. This coffee was sooo good. I could not remember where anything was in the market, but i could always find my way back to Old City Coffee. The waitstaff were efficient and kind. read more

Decent! They make home made syrups so thats what drew me in. The vanilla syrup was delicious really flavorful and not artificial tasting. The latte itself was good but could have been a bit stronger espresso. I agree with one of the other reviews stating the coffee is on a lighter side when it comes to flavor. read more

My first stop at the Reading Terminal - Old City Coffee. This is by far the best iced americano I've had in life. The smell of the espresso, that first sip - I was instantly blown away. Coffee stall is located in the Reading Market which always seems to have a steady stream if customers. Coffee is OK and on this visit I ordered an ice tea. It's a stall in Reading Terminal Market with coffee (and related beverages) and a few baked goods. Friendly staff and seems like they're efficient at keeping lines moving. I tried an iced oat milk matcha and added a little (seasonal) ginger syrup. The matcha is only on the iced menu, but they can make it hot. It is, however, only available with oat milk, which makes me think it's probably from some mix/concentrate. It wasn't very strong, but it was decent, and very smoothly mixed. It was really good with the ginger - highly recommend giving that a try! read more

I stopped by Old City Coffee's second location near the 11th and Arch entrance for an extra-large mochaccino, and it was pure mocha perfection! No matter which location you visit, the coffee is always superb! Best coffee ever! Needed a pick me up, and grabbed a large iced latte with lavender syrup and oat milk. It was amazingly tasty, strong and not overpowering on the lavender. I wish I had gotten the x-large because it was just that yummy. Staff were lovely and fast. The market and environment was just fun to experience with a coffee at hand. Very cute place in an indoor market/food market!! I got their ice cappuccino and it was amazing. Typically coffee shops give a ring bit of coffee and a ton of ice with milk. I got an iced coffee and it came in x large. Most places don't offer a coffee this large unless it's Dunkin. I love my coffee large. It was really delicious too. Did not need crème or flavoring. I did get a splash of oatmilk. So sue me. read more

Old City Coffee located in the Reading Terminal Market. It's tucked in the back but once you're there, the coffee can be ordered via self-service or by the staff. I like they there's an XL size and that they have multiple alternative milks available. My coffee was really good and I thoroughly savored every gulp. I wanted to grab a coffee in the morning before I had to check out of my hotel and leave town. Since I was heading to the market anyway, I picked this place, which is the only dedicated coffee shop in the market. The menu is fairly simple. If they have any seasonal items, I didn't notice them. In previous visits to the market, there was a pretty consistent line, but I got lucky stopping by a little after 8am. I ordered a mocha latte, which was better than I expected. Prices are about what you'd expect from a coffee shop anymore, and service was prompt and polite. I don't know that I'd wait in one of the lines I saw here on the weekend; but if there's only a couple people in front of you, it's worth a stop. read more

Great ambiance with it being in the reading terminal. That being said this shop doesn't have specific seating but there are lots of things to see wandering around the terminal. The wait was short for it being so busy- impressed with the team and their ability to shrub out drinks quickly that are still very quality. They roast their own beans right there in the small shop. It was pricey but a fun experience and convenient if you are heading to the convention center or walking around the tourist areas. read more

currently my favorite milk tea spot in philly!…read more molly tea is such a great milk tea chain and i was very happy that one opened in philly. i've been numerous times since opening, and have even doordashed from here when i didn't have the time to make it out to the shop. i absolutely love jasmine milk tea, so my go-to order is the premium jasmine milk tea. they share a space with nan xiang express so it's super convenient to grab a bite while there. the shop is small but efficient, and the quality is always consistent. their packaging is beautiful and high quality, the to-go orders are meticulously packed to maintain their temperature and prevent leaking. unfortunately, it looks like they just announced on their instagram that they are temporarily closed for renovations, but crossing my fingers that they will reopen soon! absolutely worth a visit if you are a fan of jasmine milk tea.

Although technically not a part of the cafe, the fact that it's located inside the hotel means there's lots of comfortable seating available around the lobby. Rght across from the cafe there's a fantastic lounge area with a pool table and a collection of books. I don't think anyone would use the books in the library and they're mostly decorative, but I did think it was cute. The menu is adorable - it's a giant scroll on the wall and had some Philly-themed artwork. I would go back just to see if they change up the artwork.

Still decent though! They've got a nice selection of seasonal drinks, serve Verve, and also have fun Capital One branded giveaways every once in a while. There's tons of seating, BUT it tends to all get taken up quite quickly. Sometimes there's some unhoused around the building, including in the bathrooms despite needing a code to get in, but it's not too much of a detraction of it being a good working and gathering space.

Either way, it wasn't very cool inside. Thankfully I had ice cream, so it didn't bother me too much, but it's something to keep in mind if you're stopping by on a really hot day. The donut itself had this amazing sweet maple smell, almost like straight maple syrup. The bacon on top was a nice touch, and the whipped maple creme filling was delicious. It was definitely a sweet donut, but it hit the spot. The Biscoff donut came in a close second. It had the perfect filling-to-bread ratio, and as someone who loves anything Biscoff, this was super satisfying. Both of these donuts were incredibly soft and had the perfect texture. The apple fritter ranked third for us, but it was still really good. It wasn't as sweet as the other two, which was actually nice and helped balance everything out. I do wish it had been a little crispier and had more pieces of apple throughout, but I still enjoyed it. I'd absolutely come back to try more of their donuts, and I definitely want to check out some of their other bakery items too!

Krispy Kreme remains as always the GOAT of all donut shops, but I do like trying new spots. Certainly worth stopping by if you're craving a donut.
