I had a wonderful experience here at La Cosecha Bar & Restaurant on my recent visit to Paso Robles. I highly recommend making reservations, because this place was pretty busy once we arrived! We had a party of 5, and were seated at one of their communal tables with plenty of room to spare. The ambiance was dark, candle lit, and a little chilly due to the open doors from the outside patio. Luckily we were bundled up! So come in layers if you are dining here during the colder months. Nonetheless, it was a nice setting all around. Our waiter was very attentive, but at the same time pretty busy. The mistake we made was coming here hungry, and there was no bread served to hold us down. Not the restaurants fault, but just something to be aware of if you come here with an appetite. On to the food! We decided to order a little bit of everything on the menu, and shared family style. We chose the grilled octopus, chicken paella, mojo chicken, and the chorizo & Barcelona flatbreads. The grilled octopus (pulpo) was a tantalizing blend of smoky char and succulent tenderness. I especially loved that they were served on top of beluga lentils and smashed potatoes. Well executed dish all around and the octopus wasn't rubbery at all. The rich flavors of the chicken paella, was a symphony of crispy tender chicken, sofrito, caramelized shallots and vibrant spices in every delightful bite. BUT! I must mention that the bottom of the pan was very burnt, which made for less paella due to the caked on burnt rice. Still great flavors, but a little disappointed in the burnt bottom. We also indulged in the zesty allure of the mojo chicken. This dish was a flavor fiesta and had my taste buds dancing. The chicken was juicy and moist. The chorizo & Barcelona flatbreads were simple, yet the perfect bite to share. I wish they had a little more cheese, but they were still delicious. Overall, a great dining experience here and the dishes we shared were the perfect amount for 5 people.

If you are in Paso, and you just want to have a yummy meal... head to this place, and fast... so tasty so flavorful... We were super hungry after a full day of walking in wine tasting ... they carry Austin Hope which was amazing! We started off with the perfectly cooked scallops with a mango sauce and balsamic . We just had to try their beef and potato empanadas so much flavor however, my favorite was the salmon with the mash and grilled carrots. We made a reservation and I recommend that you do make a reservation. It's a smaller type restaurant we got there and they had a very quaint little table for us ready to go, but we decided that we were going to sit at the bar and really take in the entire ambience of the night. We had a super friendly bartender... This restaurant is dog, friendly and people friendly ...

We came at La Cosecha on a Saturday night with no reservations and they were able to sit us fairly quickly. We ordered a paella, croquetas de hamon, and heirloom cauliflower. The food over all was good(nothing special) I did wish the bottom of the paella wasn't burnt. It was a good experience so would recommend if you're looking for a tapas restaurant.

We were hungry and couldn't fi8nd the BBQ place we wre looking for - tensions were high! Saw someone eating a flatbread pizza on the front deck and we waltzed right on in and wre seated in a jiffy. Clean bathroom, by the way (we were driving from Jagged Point down and around back up to San Mateo.) Switched gears from BBQ and ordered a flatbread pizza, a shrimp salad, and a cubano. Forgot what the second kid ordered AND didn't get a picture. I'm sure he ate...something - maybe also a cubano. ANYWAY we were pleasantly surprised by the good tasting food, quick service, and cuteness of the town overall. It was hot, like 100F, so we didn't sit outside - but inside was bright and pleasant. Would return!

It was getting late while at Paso Robles, La Cosecha was opened late. Got easy parking and a seat immediately arriving at 10 pm. The place was such warm cozy, great for good company and good eats kind of vibe. Our server was friendly and well informed on the menu. We were a party of two and ordered the Oxtail and Seafood Paella. Oxtail was tender and the sweet corn purée that came with was so delicious. The paella was flavorful and filled with seafood. The portion can be a shared 2 person or a really hungry person. It was wow. The food was so good we ate everything clean. Would highly recommend.

It's located in downtown Paso Robles next o many restaurants and bar. Customer service was good. Ambience was not bad. It had a gastropub vibe. Mostly tourists dining. Food wise - the menu was a bit confused. It was supposed to be a Latin inspired fusion. But not really, they had pizzas and mostly American tourists type of menu. The empanada dough was way too thick and filling was just ground meat and lacking salt. The pizza was also bland. They have a good size bar. My mango habanero drink was good. Good to go once especially when your just passing by town cuz they're open late till 10.

I randomly visited this restaurant for lunch, the Latin music emanating from inside beckoning me to step in. Luckily, although very busy, there was an open table (and several seats at the bar). It's one of the many restaurants and businesses that surround the downtown park. There is free two hour parking on the street. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich which, aside from the pulled pork, had slaw and an amazing jalapeno barbecue sauce. The flavor of that sauce really made the sandwich and I appreciated it had a little bit of heat. The ciabatta bun was fresh and the pulled pork tender. I felt the amount of pulled pork was on the lighter side, certainly less than what you'd get at a BBQ restaurant. But this was seriously an incredibly delicious sandwich. It came with fries which were perfectly made. Service was exceptional and the vibe of this place is casual and comfortable. Definitely a place I'd return to next time I'm in the area doing some wine tasting!

Positive Yelp reviews is how I decide whether to try a new restaurant. Based on the phenomenal yelp reviews, my wife and I dined at La Cosecha tonight. I believe the phenomenal reviews are way overrated. Factoring in quality, service and value (see attached menu and prices), La Cosecha is three stars at best. Food: We had the local green salad, the pulpo (grilled octopus appetiizer), and two seafood paellas. The salad is the only dish we are satisfied with. The pulpo taste OK. It came with three potato fingerlings. At $27, I expected more than one small tentacle which is barely enough to share with my wife. Low value. The seafood paella was a total disappointment. It should be call seafood fried rice instead. The paella was served on a pan with a spatula. The rice, shrimp and small pieces of white fish were dry and over cooked. Paella is usually cooked in a broth and the seafood should be moist. The spatula came in handy to scrape the crusted rice at the bottom of the pan. I hope you get the picture. Not worth the $52 price. So poor quality and low value. Service: The service was mediocre considering the high end prices. Soft drink options were limited and served by the can. We had to request for ice with our water multiple times (it was over 100 degrees outside). The salad and appetizer came at the same time, not staged as you expect in a high end restaurant. The server did her job, but the experience was purely transactional. Other Yelp reviewers wrote about popular dishes such as beet salad, short ribs, tortilla soup, crab cakes, fried calamari, and lamb shank. These dishes are all gone from the menu. So please check the latest menu before going to La Cosecha.

This place was so good that I had dinner here twice in a week! Conveniently situated off the main square in downtown Paso Robles, La Cosecha has Latin inspired food with a decent wine list with wines from Europe and South America as well as locally. Both times I sat outdoors on the countertop that juts onto the sidewalk. Passersby could have easily snatched a bite off my dish, thankfully no one did despite the aroma of our meal. The indoor seating area is spacious and tastefully done. My friend and I split their special mushroom pizza and a salad - I should note that it was "special" because it was not on the menu. Not because they were special mushrooms ha ha. The first time we had the pizza, it seemed that the texture of the crust was a bit more to our liking: crusty with just a small amount of bite to it. The beet salad was delish - we ordered without the addition of prawns. The first time we ate there, we had a fantastic waiter, I think his name was Yuki? Anyway he put up with us speaking Japanese to him, mine is barely passable while my friend can hold her own. Shout out to that guy for letting us practice our Japanese while serving us with a smile - at least I hope he was smiling behind that mask.

We had originally planned to go to one of the other breakfast spots in town before hitting the road back to LA ...but didn't make a reservation and it was quite the wait. It was also full of people and crying babies -no thanks. Took a quick spin around the town block and found this happy little place and so glad we did. Nice Frank Sinatra playing from inside, not too crowded, sat immediately by a very polite host, got waters and mimosas within 5 mins, ordered our meals and they came out fast hot and delicious. I am an All American Breakfast girl and the eggs over medium were on point perfect. Hashbrowns were great and the service was just lovely. Not sure if th host and servers were the owners, but service with a smile is what we got! Will be back...to try their lunch/ Paella which seems to be their specialty.

Highly recommend making a reservation in advance! We luckily made a reservation for lunch and the food was delicious that we even came back for a dinner too. The dinner crowd was packed and there were groups waiting outside for a table to open up too. // FOOD // PIZZA MARGHERITA: Marinara, fresh mozzarella, basil. AMAZING! Honestly, the dough had a great flavor to it, the marinara sauce was magnifico, the fresh mozz was perfect and thinly sliced basil on top to round it out! The pizza was thin, crispy, and light - just how I like it but the flavors combined were too good! 5/5 PAELLA OF THE DAY: Shrimp and longanisa sausage on a bed of risotto. Not your normal paella which was slightly disappointing, but the flavors were excellent! The dish was slightly overall but the shrimp and sausage added nice textures to the risotto. 4/5 CHILAQUILES: Carnitas, Chile verde, creme fraiche, pico de gallo, avocado, poached egg. Where was the carnitas? Two people at my table ordered this and in total there was probably about 1 oz. of carnitas LOL! Definitely pass on this dish as it lacked in flavor and definitely lacked in meat. 1/5 PASTRAMI SANDWICH: Sauerkraut. mozerella cheese. pickles. The meat was slightly tough. Instead of a sandwich, I would absolutely recommend getting a pizza or maybe try the Cubano as that sounded good too. 2/5 Overall, I thought some of the dishes were amazing while others were a miss. However, La Cosecha was one of the better restaurants that we had while in Paso Robles. I would definitely recommend coming here for a pizza and a cocktail.

Delicious seafood paella and Iberico ham flatbread! Generous amounts of seafood with the right proportion to the rice and other ingredients in the paella and served right out of the oven with just the right amount of crispy rice on the bottom and sides of the pan. The flatbread was nice and crispy and not dense or too chewy, with the thin & lean slices of Iberico ham that was tender and not too salty or greasy. We had some glasses of wine which were generous pours. This place is popular and it's best to make a reservation for dinner. We were seated at the bar for our meal since we couldn't get reservations, and we appreciated the hospitality of the staff.

Great time at this place! Props to our bartender extraordinaire, Miranda!! Super service and a true mixologist. So entertained by the mixed drinks she was putting together with flare! We started with the shrimp, sausage and polenta, meatballs w verde sauce, and empanadas. All tasty but especially enjoyed the shrimp and sausage. Finished with the seafood stew (off menu) which was perfect. Salmon was tender, with shellfish and shrimp in a savory broth. It came with a hot sauce that took it to another level. Had a great time with Maritza and Nicole (happy birthday!) who sat next to us at the bar. Looking forward to returning again. read more

Delicious! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect dinner. Service was friendly and they made you feel at home. Cocktails were tasty and wine selection is extensive. Full menu plus several specials including the meat or seafood paella. We chose the meat one and it was so good! Portion was enough to share. And definitely save room for dessert. We had the chocolate torte and it was warm, texture was soft and just the right amount of gooey. Prices were fair. We will definitely return. read more

I knew a change in ownership would bring a different experience to La Cosecha, but it's just not in ways I would've liked to see. The beloved paella now feels like it has a bag of frozen mixed vegetables dumped into it, leaving much more flavor and nuance to be desired. The flatbreads are no longer well made hand tossed pizzas, but actual flatbreads. In my opinion, they are nowhere near as tasty, which is a tough decision when working without old recipes. The prices are more expensive with what feels like less quality being put into these meals. Filler items of hummus and dips and breads are taking up specials and dishes that were made fresh and had beautiful flavor to them. I hope to visit soon and see the ongoing improvements taken note from the reviews coming in! I'm rooting for you La Cosecha!! And please bring the Moqueca back to the menu, I would order it weekly if I could! read more

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local (Lyft driver) after a fun filled day of Paso Robles wineries. Hondorus food sounded yummy and the Yelp reviews shared how classy this place was. As soon as we walked in (Saturday evening, 9pm), we were seated down immediately. We were a party of 3. We ordered some cocktails, and water. Our waitress was very sweet and helped us navigate the drink menu. We decided to order a few entrees and share. We started with the house green salad. We also ordered scallops, empenadas, and the slow cooked lamb. All of the food was delicious but the empenadas were my favorite. I would have ordered another one but we were all getting tired. Hands down some of the best food we've had! Would definitely recommend this place. The ambience inside is also really nice and cozy. What we ordered: Gambas polenta 5/5 - so good and so much flavor!! They go heavy with the shrimp portion Paella 4/5 - a bit different than your typical "paella" but still amazing. The rice is more so a risotto style. Wish the potion was a bit bigger but still so good Moqueca (Brazilian seafood stew) 5/5 - our favorite dish of the night! This was not listed on the menu but our server suggested it. So good we are still thinking about this dish :) it's a coconut based stew with served with shrimp, clams, mussels and rice on the side. read more

The promise of tapas and paella along with all the great views here on Yelp drew my husband and I here. We were not disappointed at all. The staff was super welcoming and fun. But the best part was the spectacular service from our waiter Cody who was insightful about the menu and gave great recommendations: like the tuna tartare that we would have been remiss to pass on. My husband and I went there for dinner on Wednesday night, and had a couple cocktails which were ridiculously small for the price before dinner. After we had our cocktails we decided to try the calamari appetizer which was very very good. For the main course we decided to have the seafood paella and we were extremely disappointed because it was supposed to serve 2 to 3 people and we ended up leaving still hungry. The mussels and Clams were extremely small. We're glad that we experienced this restaurant but we don't plan on coming back anytime soon. read more

La Consecha is a must stop if you are visiting Paso Robles! We ordered a pizza, the ceviche, and the scallops and all 3 did not disappoint. Their white sangria was incredible and I will be craving a glass of it for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend! read more

It's solidly ok. If you're hungry and everything else is booked, it's acceptable. I'm not so excited about it that I'll be back. It was just fine. The service was reluctant and the food was not bad, it wasn't memorable. And the atmosphere was nothing special. If you just need food, go for it. If you're looking for something delicious and memorable skip it. read more

We were so excited to come here, I love paella and was counting the days. When we showed up for our reservation, they had a very limited menu that mainly consisted of fried food, nachos and a burger. Not at all what we signed up for. We left and then were stranded without a reservation for the evening. The hostess said it was "industry night" we saw many people walk away disappointed and wish they would have told us when we made the reservation so we could have avoided. very disappointing. read more

Well this has been our go to place in Paso Robles for years, why only two stars with delicious food and good service? OK, a few years ago our friend that haven't had 4 wine tasting noticed an extra $ 70 plus unexplained charge, our usual lovely waitress turned nasty. Tonight we took our mom to dinner there and our bone marrow appetizer was two bones with no marrow inside. We told our waiter and he " gracefully " took the charge out. After checking the bill they charged us for the included soup $ 27, so they deducted $ 19 for a lousy appetizer and charged us $ 27 for a soup served to us as part of the main dish. Needless to say, we will never be back!! They probably won't care but please check your bill read more

OMG! LOVE this place! Ladies you must go here! This was my second time here, the first time was during the pandemic and we had brunch in the parklet. Last night I came for dinner, sat at the bar with my husband and had the best meal out in a very long time! Our favorite dish was the Octopus appetizer and the margarita pizza. Dear Lord was that pizza good...the gravy was simple and the cheese was gooey and the crust perfect! Definitely going back! Great service and great selection of wine. Came here for the happy hour from 3 to 5. $2 off wines and signature cocktails. Good size pizzas for $15 to $17. Husband liked the burrata pizza and I liked the lamb sausage pizza. We also got the ceviche appetizer and beef empanadas. Everything was delicious and we sat at the little bar that faced the sidewalk so we got to enjoy the setting sun and falling leaves of autumn. They had space heaters and provided cute blankets if we got cold. Time flew by and we finished off with a chocolate molten cake for dessert. Highly recommend! read more

After not going to a restaurant for 5 months, this was the perfect one to go back to. Reasonably priced, given how delicious everything was. My boyfriend and I shared a couple of the specials: the ceviche and the short ribs. So. Good. The short ribs were *Italian finger kiss* Soft, juicy and flavorful. The cocktails were delicious. Top 3 best old fashioned I've ever had. The La Brisa is their version of a mojito...but it's better. Our waiter was awesome. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the food and drinks! Called 3 weeks ago to make a reservation for a large party of 11. Was told I'd be called back the following day with confirmation of the reservation. Never heard back. Have tried following up with the restaurant with no response. Was told today that there is no way to accommodate our reservation for this weekend. read more

This was a very cute dinner option in Paso after a long day of wine tasting. The environment was very lively, the service was great, but the food was just ok. The star dish was definitely their seafood Paella. I could've lived without the fried calamari on top because it was so dry and it lacked flavor however it is saved by the remainder of the dish. We also had the Brazilian Soup which is must order, the calamari (don't order), and the steak (don't order). We asked for medium rare and it came out well done and uneatable but luckily they were understanding and took it off our bill. That along with a bottle of wine came out to be $130. read more

This has been a go to favorite of ours for many years. We cringed when we heard that ownership and kitchen staff were changing. We decided to be optimistic an go for lunch today. All of our menu favorites were gone and nothing really looked appealing to us. Just being a quick weekday lunch date we decided to just get the burger. It was under seasoned and overall didn't have much flavor. Our biggest shock was the bill, $75.00 by the time we added tip. No alcohol on that either just a soda and bottled iced tea. This is a really good Spanish restaurant. We had the octopus, the scallops and the blue crab toast! Everything was good but the octopus was great. So delicious I thought I was back in Spain. I was a little sad they didn't have potatas bravas but I got over it. I wish we had had room to eat more but we'd been grazing all day. Will look forward to returning. While in Paso Robles for my best friend's bachelorette party, we made reservations for dinner at La Cosecha for a group of 9 girls on a Friday night. The restaurant is pretty small but our table was perfectly situated near the outdoor patio, so we got a nice breeze. To start, we ordered a bottle of red wine and a bottle of white wine to share. We ordered a round of appetizers including calamari and burrata. The calamari was really tasty and lightly breaded. The burrata had great flavor too; fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. We all enjoyed the appetizers. For my entree, I ordered the salmon with seasonal vegetables. The salmon was cooked well and had a unique sauce on top. The vegetables and potatoes were a great accompaniment to the salmon. Most of the other girls ordered pizzas and really seemed to enjoy them. All in all, we had a wonderful bachelorette dinner with great service and good food. read more

Usually very skeptical of any place that has specialized in two cuisines that are fairly different. In this case, Spanish and Italian. We ordered the grilled octopus, serrano croquette and pizza bianco. Hands down best pizza in town. And all the other dishes were on point. I'd go back in a heartbeat. read more

Justin, the tasting room lead, is knowledgeable but far from snooty. On a quiet weekday afternoon, he spent a long time with us -- we explored a wide range of whites and red (and one rose). Some of our favorites: Chardonnay Napa Valley, Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard Carneros (I don't drink Chards and really enjoyed this one), Cabernet Angels Vista, Cabernet Lameraux. Yes some of the wine is expensive but they have something for everyone.

Update: I returned Dec. 3rd as I was in the area meeting some friends walked in sat at the bar as I was an hour early. Didn't see so much of the familiar faces I'm use to but that's okay. After sitting at the bar for 5 mins I was finally approached by the bar tender bearded guy handed me a menu and walked away. As I was browsing the updated menu for awhile I look around to find the bar tender at the far side of the bar tending to two females very well. After awhile he retuned took my order for my drink. As he returned I asked for a dinner menu being that my friends canceled menu was brought after completely finishing my drink he retuned asked if I wanted another I replied yes and dinner would be nice as well. The bar tender seemed to be aggravated and unfriendly and unfortunately I wasn't feeling it either so I cancelled and asked for my tab. Just a word of advice to the young man if you'd like to be a flirting hot rode you might not wanna do it on someone's clock and your cellphone would probably be best if left in your car since it was the two things you only seem interested in that night. Sorry I was really looking forward to trying the new pizzas. I've been to this restaurant many times my last experience on July 11th 2015 was no so great. I dine out on the Central Coat 4 night out of the week. So I frequent many spots often. I have to say one thing about this place is the bar excellent drinks and staff I prefer eating dinner at the bar mainly because of the bar staff. The food the menu hasn't changed in ages. I've had almost ever dish in there. The two newest items the duck and chicken are a nice addition but everything else hasn't changed. The specials are always the same from the tortilla soup to the Brazilian stew. Every time I ask I can always guess so I've gotten to the point not to ask. My recommendation is change the menu or add some new items. Hell the bar changes the menu all the time why not the food. Next thing I ordered a Creme Brûlée now this is one of my favorite deserts anywhere I go. I have uploaded a photo to show what I'm about to explain. The sugar up top was burned to fast with the torch and created heat underneath this dish Creme Brûlée suppose to be served at room temperate and because it was torched wrong the sugar didn't turn into a crust and instead became a peel able cover. I asked the bar tender for a manager and said he was unavailable 6:30PM on a busy Sat night and a manager unavailable sure that's not a good thing. Nonetheless I returned it to the kitchen and was still charged I don't care about the money but if I come to a restaurant I'm there to eat and as a paying customer I have some expectation of how things should be. We came here after a long day of moving my niece into her new apartment ahead of her new apartment in San Luis Obispo. It was beautiful summer night, so several people were dining outside which looked very nice. Our table was inside which was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Instead of full entrees, we tried 4 different appetizer-sized plates to share: the fried calamari, the Ecuadorian shrimp, Honduran empenadas with beef and potato and the burrata toast. The burrata toast was, by far, the best. I would highly recommend it. Next down the list would the Honduran empenadas which were filled with beef and potato. Very flavorful. The calamari plate and the shrimp plate were both fine, but nothing special. The calamari tasted similar to the fried calamari you might order at just about any other semi-quality restaurant, although the aioli that came with the plate was great. The shrimp was strangely devoid of much flavor at all. Those four plates, plus a couple of drinks, was plenty for us. So, we decided to skip dessert. The service was very attentive and friendly. We were out the door with tax and tip for just about $100 even. I like La Cosecha and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, but we'll probably try one of the many other restaurants in Paso the next time we're there before going back again to La Cosecha. read more

I took my girlfriend to this place for her BDAY at the recommendation of a "local" patron. Well, the atmosphere was nice as we began but this soon faded to a server who seemed less than interested in providing a great dinning experience...he was just grumpy. Then came the food. Well, I got the buffalo ribs and the portion was the size of a morsel and at $30+ a pop that is absurd. Then, a little lady at the table next to us got the exact same dish as I and her portion size was just monstrous! What the heck! Luckily, my girlfriend's seafood stew was pretty good which is the most important thing as it was her day. My feeling is you have one chance to make a good first impression and this restaurant missed the make for us. We would not recommend nor return to it ourselves as we found other establishments in the area that were far superior to this place. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the team who worked on the evening of Friday, 17 November. The manager on duty truly impressed us. We traveled from San Diego for a birthday weekend, including wine tasting and a celebratory dinner at your fine establishment. The food was exceptional, and despite our large party of eight, everything was flawless. The service was quick and attentive. Towards the end of our dinner, I experienced an anxiety attack. The manager noticed immediately, and, going above and beyond, offered me hibiscus tea to help calm me down. Rarely do I review restaurants but I had to for this place because it deserves ALL the praise. This perfectly placed restaurant could not have a better location. It is lovely inside and out. We sat at the bar the bartender was very kind and obviously experienced. You could tell how much he loved his job and how passionate he was about mixing cocktails and serving delicious food! We ordered a few things (I only got a picture of the calamari though, which was delicious and perfectly paired with 2 sauces) and every single dish and drink was served to perfection! We spoke to another server there in passing and she was great also! It seemed that everyone really enjoyed this place from staff to customers, which is really refreshing! A very pleasant experience! We were sat almost immediately and our server came within moments, despite the fact that the place was full, Drinks were ordered and she explained the specials, we opted for the salmon and New York Steak. TV's were on and although my wife wanted attention, c'mon, it was football! Before long our order was delivered and I have to say, I could not find fault with the entire order. Food was solid, but portions were disappointingly small for the 3 of us. And when they brought us only 4 pieces of bread with our fondue, we had to ask for bread two more times just to finish it, and each time cost us $2. $2 FOR 4 TINY PIECES OF BREAD. They need to rethink their portion strategy and actually give you enough bread to finish the dish, and try and get the other portion sizes to a reasonable level. $134 later and we were still hungry. After going, I debated whether it warranted a 3- or 4-star rating, but I settled on three because the experience was extremely inconsistent and we expected more given the cost and the designation. Here is what we noticed...some good, some not-so-good: - We arrived for a 6pm reservation and were the second couple seated. Shortly thereafter a family of four with two young kids arrived and the host seated them directly next to us even though the entire place was empty. The kids were fidgety and loud (as kids that age can be) so it wasn't too long before we asked to move to another table, which our server happily accommodated. But, I have to ask why a Host would seat all three parties nearly on top of each other when the entire restaurant is empty? - We ordered cocktails to start, and there were several fun cocktails to choose from and the portions were good. The wine list is also pretty extensive. - The Server described the menu as all "sharables", but don't think tapas, think family style dining. After having been there, we decided that we should have skipped ordering a type of main course and stuck to appetizers. That's because the two app/salad type dishes we had were good, while the main dish was a failure. - We started with the Panzanella, which was made special by the fresh tomatoes. After that, we had the Tempura Cauliflower, which was really well seasoned...it was the highlight of our entire experience. We then shared the Pachamama Pork, which really shouldn't be on the menu if they are true farm-to-table eating. Plus, at $49 it should have wowed us more. While it tasted ok, there wasn't anything fresh or bright or seasonal on the plate aside from a little lemon in the lentils, and, frankly, I've cooked better pork myself at home. - We finished with the Mille feuille dessert, which was so skimpy on the cream that all you tasted was the biscuit in your mouth. To their credit though, when I mentioned that to the Host/server as we were paying, he brought out a plate with some more cream and we finally got to taste the brown butter, etc. that was supposed to be highlighted in the dish. - Service overall was good. The vibe is ok...it is not the comfiest place, but we did like the LPs being played on the sound system. I would also say that given the prices they charge, they should have made an effort to wipe/clean our table between dishes as drops/bits from each dish collected during our entire meal. - Be aware that there is a 3% credit card surcharge. While that is noted on their website, it wasn't on the menu. And, maybe it's just me, but if a place wants to be more fine dining, then just charge more to make up for the credit card fees versus adding it onto your bill. Bottom line: We've had much better meals in Paso Robles and though we expected to be wowed by In Bloom given its Michelin designation, it just didn't deliver.

I liked the eggs and the feta sauce, but there was way too much pita to egg ratio, and it was little heavy on the harissa-tomato sauce where the pita got too soggy at times. I only ate the egg portion, and left the rest of the pita. As mentioned above, the service was meh. There were like 3 filled tables in the entire restaurant and we waited for at least 20 minutes after we had finished eating for the check, and another 10-15 minutes for the server to come get the card.
