Okay!! So i have to say, i knew i was going to be happy, but i was SUPER HAPPY! If you're thinking about coming to this place PLEASE DO! If you are a Mediterranean food lover, this was phenomenal. We got the custom wraps and everything and it was amazing. I do have to say that what really really makes these is the sauce. They have four different types of sauces a chili sauce, a jalapeño sauce, a yogurt sauce, and a dill yogurt sauce and they were all killer!!! I already can't wait to come back Service: 10/10. I tried this place on a whim after church on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised! I got their protein bowl. It had a generous amount of chicken, veg and sides in it that I chose. I also got a side of their fries. It was all so tasty and fresh. My order was fast. They seemed to have a lot of different options but I'm so happy they can cater to us gym people that watch our macros with their protein bowls lol other similar places are stingy with their bowls especially protein. I would definitely return and recommend it for a fast food (but still healthy) bite to eat. read more

I ordered from TSK Westchester area and it was delicious. I found out there was one located near home so ordered some take out dinner. I placed the order online for later pick up. When I arrived, my order was ready for pick up. I got the build your own plate with chicken and steak (extra $6). Beautiful packaged. Just wish I knew they didn't pack utensils for take out orders. Fortunately, I was able to eat my rice with the lid of my sauce lol (desperate times I tell you). The chicken was delicious. The steak surprised me as it was very tender and easy to eat. Stopped by for lunch at this new location of The Kebab Shop (TKS). Ordering was simple with the self-service kiosk which was easy to navigate. I ordered a plate ($15.40) with chicken, rice, and fries. Each plate comes with two sauces - I appreciated that additional sauces were available for self-serve near the fountain drink station. Portions were solid, with a good amount of rice and fries. Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit dry, and both the chicken and pita had some burnt spots, which was disappointing. Aside from bringing out the food, there wasn't much interaction with the staff. One notable downside was how cold it was inside; the AC seemed to be set very low. It was empty inside during my visit as most customers chose to sit at the outdoor tables instead. TKS is located in the same plaza as Sprouts and Hobby Lobby, with plenty of parking available. read more

Just a note, for online orders, we asked for cutlery on the order page and thank goodness I checked because there was not a fork or spoon in the takeout bag. I found the Kebab Shop on Door Dash, i was looking for a local, healthy food option while I was in the area and this popped up as a suggestion. The pictures of the food on the app looked amazing.So I thought I would give it a try because I wanted to eat something healthy, but something that wouldn't take too long. I place the order through the app.The timeliness was great.And when I got here, I decided to dine in, because the customer service from the moment I stepped into the business to the moment I was seated was on point. The food is absolutely delicious! I ordered The Mediterranean Bowl and it was amazing. I ordered it with the grilled chopped chicken, added extra steak for more protein and the meats are so flavorful and tender. It comes with tzaki and I asked for the roasted fire hummus because I like a little spice in my food. There is also a mediterranean salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and purple onions... It is all a perfect balance in one bowl and filled me up plus I will have leftovers for dinner later. I ordered a side of peta bread and the pita chips, the tzaki is soooo good i went to the front counter to ask to pay for an extra side and that's when I met the store manager Alan. The employee at the register charged me as she should, but the manager offered to give me the side sauce for free! I let him know how delicious the food was.And shared with him that I will absolutely be back.Because this is great, healthy food, and his customer service also stands out. Earlier this year, I visited La Habra to catch a movie at the Regal Edwards at La Habra Marketplace. Within that shopping center, I spotted a Rubio's Coastal Grill, which fascinated me because they had been closing locations over the past couple of years. I initially thought this Rubio's staved off closure until I noticed some Kebab Shop decal on the windows. It confused me until I realized that The Kebab Shop was going to take over that spot from Rubio's. So yes, this is one of the newer Kebab Shops that have opened this year, and needless to say, La Habra residents are in for a treat! As mentioned in the first paragraph, this Kebab Shop is located in La Habra Marketplace, which is on the north side of Imperial between Beach and Idaho. The Kebab Shop shares a wall with the Verizon store, which is located adjacent to Imperial directly across the parking lot from Sprouts Farmers Market. The Kebab Shop offers three main types of entrees: wraps, bowls, and plates. This year, I've recommended getting either a wrap or a bowl because you can add premium toppings to either for no additional charge; unfortunately, you can't really do that with a plate since it comes with two sides and two sides only. I'm sure many others would prefer wraps over bowls, but I prefer the bowls because I feel I'd get more of the toppings than if I got a wrap, kind of like how in Chipotle, you'd get more of the inside of a burrito in a bowl rather than in the burrito itself, if that makes sense. I went up to one of their two kiosks by the window to place my order. I didn't like how the kiosk would swivel with each touch, thus making my ordering experience much less than ideal. An employee was willing to help, but I simply echoed my comment about the kiosk swiveling around excessively, though she didn't catch on initially to what I was saying. The menu lists six different types of bowls, but really, they're all BYO (Build Your Own) bowls, and the remaining five bowls have the appropriate radio buttons pre-selected for you. I believe one of the bowls showed the price incorrectly up front. It has the Grilled Chicken Tenderloin, which costs an additional $1.90, checked as the choice of protein, but the menu lists the price without the upcharge; however, once you select that bowl, the upcharge is then reflected in the updated price. For my base, I chose the Truffle Brown Rice and the Fries, the latter of which would normally be a $1 upcharge as a topping, but not as a base. I did, however, request a $1 upcharge for grilled vegetables alongside the rest of the complimentary toppings, basic and premium. I also requested the upcharge for the Grilled Chicken Tenderloin, hoping it'd be an upgrade from the Chicken Shawarma. Immediately after paying at the kiosk, I utilized their restroom, which seemed to be maintained pretty well as they call themselves neat freaks. It didn't take too long for them to prepare my bowl; it was ready just a couple minutes after I left the restroom. I also asked for a water cup to go with my meal. The grilled chicken had good taste overall. However, is it worth the $2 upcharge? I say no, especially since some parts of the chicken tasted burnt in my bowl. Besides the burnt bits of chicken here and there, everything else in the bowl tasted great, complementing one another and the sauces nicely, though not nearly as much as I hoped. Why do I say this? The sauces themselves were weak sauce! This went for pretty much all the sauces I got, at least from the pumps. Each of the four sauces there had a pretty runny texture that likely equated to less flavor compared to other locations. Yes, I could have gotten more sauces, but I really didn't want to drench my bowl with many a different sauce cup. I used five different sauce cups, but still felt there was something missing in all of them. Also, I felt they skimped on the portion size of my bowl a little bit. Normally, I would feel pretty full with the bowl I usually get, but here, I wasn't that full and felt I could have eaten a little more. While I did appreciate one of the female employees offering to assist me as I was struggling with the order kiosk, I didn't get welcomed like the other guests, and I didn't feel they appreciated my business very much. I also found odd I requested four different sauces at the kiosk, but only got one upon receiving my order; I was instructed to go to the sauce counter to get the remaining sauces. It's never consistent how many sauces I get upon pickup when I request the maximum amount, 4 in this case. Sometimes, I'd get all four, but this time, I only got one, which was the Caesar dressing. However, they didn't have Citrus Vinaigrette, either at the pickup or the sauce counter, unless it was already included in my bowl? Nevertheless, I was overall satisfied with the bowl and my visit overall that I'm willing to drop just one star rather than two for all the shortcomings mentioned in this review. read more

I've become a regular at The Kebab Shop because the food is consistently great, healthy, and satisfying. It's one of my favorite post-workout meals when I want a lot of protein without feeling heavy. If I'm trying to stay low carb, I'll just order the Chicken Tenderloin or steak skewers à la carte without the sides -- saves money and keeps the carbs down. The proteins here are excellent, especially the Chicken Tenderloin, Beef Kofta, and the Carved Lamb & Beef. The free sauces are amazing and honestly take everything to the next level. Their flatbreads and pitas are also incredibly good. And when I'm extra hungry, the wraps with French fries inside are so satisfying. This location is especially well run. It's always clean, including the bathrooms, and the customer service is consistently excellent. Alan is always friendly and welcoming, and the whole place just has a great atmosphere that makes me enjoy coming back. read more

I had never been here before so I was a bit anxious about how to order and what to get. I don't recall what I got but the food just wasn't anything special. I love authentic Mediterranean food but this definitely wasn't it. I don't think I'd ever come back because of how salty the hummus was. The food was filling but it was a bit bland in my opinion. The vibes in here are very modern and not as cozy and homey as family owned Mediterranean spots. The dessert was really good though! read more

Overall a yummy spot for quick Mediterranean! We got the beef kofta plate & truffle maker bowl. You get more bang for your buck with the bowls!! The plate only had a variety of 3 items (unless you pay more for extra) while the bowl is loaded with more ingredients. The veggies were so fresh and I love the self-serve sauce station! This was my first time here. It was recommended by two of my friends, one of who went last night. 3 of the 5 it was our first time there. We all loved it and will be back. I was so anxious to try it I took the picture after I had started eating. I chose the build your bowl because there were so many delicious options to choose from and the plate you could only pick 2 options. For my base I ordered fries and salad and I appreciate they separate them like half the bowl was fries and the other half was romaine. Cave never listens to me when I ask for it they just pile it all up like a dog bowl. No matter how I want and ask for it. next I chose Chicken Shawarma and paid extra for Grilled Shrimp. Then you can pick all of the toppings that come on the salad which I did then added Kalamata olives, red onion, jalapeño, pita crumbles, cilantro jalapeño hummus and feta to put on my fries. I also ordered Caesar dressing on the side. It comes with a delicious warn, soft pita. They also have condiments on the side like garlic and yogurt sauce, and 2 types of chile sauces one red and one green jalapeno which is all over my bowl. They offer Poppi can drinks, bottled sparkling water, Desani water bottle and Coke fountain drinks. 10/10 recommend! Way better than Cava! MUST try. I'm sorry but this place is disgusting. It's filthy. I made a visit on 4/9 around 730pm. I'm used to the quality standards of the Costa Mesa location which I visit frequently. To start off the dining room is completely freezing. It's cold, probably like 50 degrees in there. No joke. It's almost as if the make it that cold so people do not sit and dine in. It's also probably why the dining room was empty, and the other guests complaining of how cold it was. As I was eating my food, I bit into kalamata olive pit. This was incredibly painful, I had no idea wha it was. I pulled it out of my mouth and saw it was an olive pit. It cracked my back tooth, I looked closer into my wrap to see if there were anymore and I spotted a long hair. I pulled it out, disgusted. I look around, and i noticed all of the female works do not have their hair up. They do not wear hair nets. Not to be rude, but all of the female workers just look grungy and dirty. As I look closer at their hair it's all over their face, like stuck to their sweat. It's gross, not to mention how dirty the store looks. There was a worker cleaning the sauce station with a napkin. The napkins that are given to the customers. It was gross. Not even a towel with disinfecting solution. When I used to work in food service Many years ago we were taught, a dry towel is a dirty towel. Always make sure it's in disinfecting solution when cleaning. Now that I'm home I'm in incredible pain from my chipped tooth and will have to see a dentist. I am beyond disgusted with this place. It's a safety hazard. Stay away read more

I've never been to The Kebab Shop before, and was excited to see we were getting one nearby. It seems similar to CAVA in many ways, but it's nice to have an additional healthy-ish option when eating out. Being a fast casual joint, the space itself is pretty identical to a CAVA or other similar joints. When I stopped in, it was early dinner time and not very crowded. You could order at the register, or as I did, at one of the two tablets on the side. The process is pretty simple, and the menu is fairly customizable. For food, I ordered a kebab plate, which came with two sides. For the most part the prices are pretty reasonable ($15 for most chicken options) but go up if you opt for steak or really anything different. Everything I ordered was pretty tasty, and they have great self serve sauce options (the jalapeño cilantro sauce was my personal favorite). Everything was fresh, and even with fries being one of my sides, my meal still felt on the lighter side. I can't say much on service, since I ordered off a tablet, but everything I ordered came out within 5 minutes and the few people I interacted with were friendly. Maybe things might be different if you come when they're slammed, but every time I've been nearby it never looks too crowded. I definitely think this spot is worth coming to if you're looking for a lighter fast food meal, and you're feeling a little tired with your CAVA or Chipotle bowls. So came here this weekend with the wife.. She had a chicken bowl, which looked good, and she said it tasted good. I had the plate, which comes with two sides and choice of proten. My choice of protein was not the best, it was the shaved beef and lamb.. The veggies and rice were good, but cant say that for the protein option.. It was cold and some of the meat was hard, like it had been sitting there for a while. Should of gotten the chicken or beef skewers, which looked like they were cooking them to order.. Great first impression. This may be our Cava replacement. Much like Cava, you can get bowls and wraps with a variety of proteins. Meats are finished on the grill when you order. My sirloin had a great char and was cooked to a nice medium. I ordered a plate that came with a kebab and two sides. The wraps are absolutely massive. Definitely a value for money choice. Will have to try the bowl next time. However I think the Mediterranean edge now belongs to Kebab Shop because of the sauces. There are four sauces to choose from at the self serve bar, Fire Chili, Cilantro Jalapeño, Dill Yogurt, and OG Yogurt. The yogurts are nice tzatziki type sauces that are good for a cool and fresh taste, but the winners are the two spicy sauces. A lot of mainstream places stay away from truly spicy, but Fire Chili has quite a kick. Tasty and red chili forward, it's a must. The Cilantro Jalapeño is less spicy and creamy. Tastes so good with my rice. The place is new, so it's clean and bright. Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back, the question is, will we even bother to go back to Cava? read more

I ordered the Family Pack last Saturday, which was supposed to include a Greek salad, one large yogurt sauce, and a cilantro jalapeno sauce. When I got home, I realized the yogurt sauce was missing -- I only received the Greek salad dressing and the cilantro jalapeno sauce. I called the restaurant right away, and the same staff member who packed my order picked up. She kept arguing with me and refused to listen. She insisted she gave me the yogurt sauce, even though the white sauce she provided was clearly the Greek salad dressing. I explained multiple times that the Family Pack should include two white sauces -- yogurt and Greek salad dressing -- but she kept talking over me and dismissing everything I said. What makes this worse is that the yogurt sauce costs $5 separately if you order it on its own, so it's not some small item to overlook. The fact that the staff member wouldn't even acknowledge the mistake was unacceptable. It's extremely frustrating when staff refuse to take responsibility and treat customers like they're wrong. I've enjoyed this restaurant before, but this experience completely changed my view. Please train your staff members better -- they seriously need to learn how to listen and treat customers with basic respect.
