Passing thru Riverside and wanted to try a new spot. Ordered two tacos gobernador and the marlin. Meh the tacos were just ok, wasn't great but wasn't terrible, wasn't that impressed that I need to go back to Riverside just for the tacos, especially considering the length of time from placing an order up front to actually picking it up. (30mins for three tacos) The benefit, however, was that they accepted the yelp promo and Erica who took my order provided good service, even apologizing for the delay which wasn't her fault. I understand its a weekend, dinner time, etc... Why 4 stars? Customer service was polite, salsa tasted good, yelp promo accepted as a first timer. Place was packed full of people so maybe other food here is worth it, if you've never been here and its dinner time probably ordering before arriving is the way to go as finding a spot to park is a hassle. read more

Yes it's crudo, but it's supposed to be cooked in the lemon even while it is "raw" that's where the flavor gets 10x better. And as for as change, you do you. I gave this place 2 stars because the service was very good and the food was ok, however I don't appreciate how sneaky and deceitful they are with their prices. Wayyyyyy overpriced for what you get. I understand if the food was exceptional and the servings were large, but neither is the case. They have a $2.99 surcharge for avocado, but they don't tell you. After waiting an hour for food my patience finally ran out so I asked the cashier how much longer it was going to take and she said my food was behind the counter for who knows how long.... So now you can imagine how upset I was after unnecessarily waiting as long as I did. Conveniently located off of the 91 this seafood restaurant does not disappoint! I was skeptical of ordering seafood "to go" at almost 8pm but am so glad I did! The restaurant was clean, had good music and the customer service was friendly! Almost wished we would have dined in! We ordered Ceviche "El Cocido" y "El Gobernador"at the restaurant and wait ones about 10 minutes to get our food. The ceviche was a size Medium and it was enough for 6 tostadas! EVERYTHING about this cooked shrimp ceviche was fresh! The shrimp was cooked perfectly; not mushy or chewy the veggies were crisp and fresh and the taste was extraordinarily refreshing! There was no hiding behind a Clamato base or lime water; you could taste the shrimp, cucumber, tomato and onion, each ingredient complimented each other simply but perfectly! The "Gobernador" was new to me, it was a Guizado of cooked shrimp with a tomato sauce between a fried tortilla shell and cheese. It was tasty! Came with a green tomatillo salsa that really added dimension to the red tomato sauce from the guizado. I would say due to the sauciness of the Guizado the tortilla does get a bit soggy but I did not mind at all! If you're looking for a definite crunch you should order this as a dine in customer!
