My niece moved to LA and we were looking for a new orthodontist for her and we came across LA Dental Braces in DTLA. The office is clean and well organized but most importantly everyone was super friendly and professional. Especially Emma, who is the assistant that help my niece in the chair. She was able to change her braces ties the color she wanted in no time. Emma was super sweet and made my niece feel so comfortable during her visit. THANK YOU! I would give this place a' extra star with the hospitality that Emma gave me and my niece during our visit :)

Drive-thru dentistry. The consultation went great, of course. The follow-up not so much. The doctor walks in doesn't give me his name, there was no discussion of treatment plan, no dental block was used during the treatment just four hands in mouth and being told "open wider". It honestly felt like everyone was ready to go and the goal was to get me out as soon as possible. I could list in great detail everything that went wrong during that visit but I will save it for my insurance company, Dental Board of CA and Hygiene Board. AVOID LA DENTAL BRACES. read more

There service is great . Sometimes they are very busy but if you send a text message they ll try to respond fast. I do not recommend this place !! they told me I needed to pay $400 for 2 new sets of trays , I paid in the front , walked back to the room and they told me I actually didn't need them anymore and when I asked for the money back they refused !!! saying it's against policy?? DO NOT GO HERE they also put my payments for my invisalign on a credit report which I was not told or made aware of. I will be taking them to small claims court which will be available to public record once finished read more

I have been with this office for about a year and a few months now. The staff here have been very great and helpful with my whole braces procedure. The office is very clean and spacious with new and equipped materials. I recommend asking for Kisa when coming in for any type of procedures. These guys didn't answer the phone at first and when they did answer the phone, the person on the phone didn't speak English. Their website has them listed as being located in San Diego even though they are in Los Angeles. Their office is not clean and it seems like they don't even know how to take x-rays as the assistant took 45 minutes to take my xrays. read more

I've been getting my invisalign treatment done here and have had a good experience. Recently, I got married and wanted to receive a whitening treatment before I got married. I booked a zoom whitening treatment and they gave me a good price. Vanessa did my whitening treatment and she was great and checked on me often throughout the treatment. At the end of my treatment, I did notice a significant change in color on my teeth and I was happy with the results. I did notice some spotting on a couple of my teeth,but most of it subsided after a few days. I definitely would recommend getting the whitening treatment with Vanessa. read more

This business is full of money hungry people. Every time I was in the office I always asked to see proper licensed that is supposed to be displayed anyway and could never be shown.Staff is constantly being changed, they try to threaten you to send you to collections over a service given that was rendered n didn't meet even the bare minimum standards. Every time I went for a "deep cleaning"'even the workers said it was just a bracket polish at the time the cost was 150 just for that I stopped going after a assnt literallly filed down my tooth crooked and said it looked fine and still have the audacity to call and even call private what type of business does that read more

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. This place is terrible. I have had braces for a very long time and i have seen very little improvement. There is never an orthodontist in office. And all the work here is weird. The 5 stars i am giving are because of the assistant migel. He has been the only employee here that knows what he is doing. I never leave with any issues when he works on me. He is also very attentive and careful when he works on my braces. However i do not recommend this place to anybody unless you are really on a budget and are ok with leaving with teeth that are better than how you walk in but not good looking when you finish. read more

I have been dealing with LA Dental for a while now ( longer than I shld because my braces should be off. MY FAULT THO) So I recently went in for a deep cleaning. Unfortunately, I had a reaction to the novocaine ( no fault of LA Dental it just happened) . It resulted in me having to go to the ER. It was scary for all of us, myself and LA Dental. I went in with a Groupon and paid out of pocket and they were very accommodating. For the first few years, they made me feel at ease every visit and I was religiously going in every 6 months for teeth cleaning and check up. When they moved to the Koreatown office is when it started to feel like they were starting to push me to fix numerous things and that number would increase every visit. I eventually never dealt with Dr. Arezoo or Dr. Azy unless it was very brief. Some teeth cleaning were done poorly and some other assistants were not pleasant to deal with. Prices kept increasing bc of Covid and supply issues yet every time I go in the office there are new gadgets. I went in to replace my crown and they took x-rays 4xs bc they wanted to make sure the crown would fit. There was a time when dentists didn't need all these toys and they managed just fine. The kicker was their new financial policy they wanted me to sign. $150-$300 per hour cancellation fee! In the 14 years I have never been late to an appointment and last time I had to cancel that morning bc I woke up with a fever and had to go to urgent care and they tried to charge me $200. They said I should have known I was going to be sick. That is unreasonable and disgusting to charge people that much. I asked what our compensation would be if they had to cancel on patients last minute and they made excuses. I'm so sick of everyone being greedy. I suggest you go elsewhere. I'm done with this place.

In the beginning I wanted Invisalign, because I was a college student back then and didn't want to spend my college years having braces on, but Dr. Nam convinced me to first get braces for about 6 months and then switch to Invisalign since the braces would be more effective in the beginning stages. I agreed, and thought 6 months wouldn't be too bad. However when the 6 month mark passed, and I asked him about switching to Invisalign, he said to me in Korean, "why are you so focused on your looks, you should be more focused on your studies..." umm excuse me?!! Long story short, I did not have a backbone back then and didn't want to argue with him (I'm Korean and talking back to someone older than you is extremely taboo), but that statement stuck with me for over a decade and I still can't believe he had the audacity to say that to me. I did not end up getting Invisalign and had braces during a good chunk of my college years because of him. Honestly it's one thing to convince me to get braces all together, and another to bait and switch what you say.. All and all, if you want someone to talk down on you and go back on their word, go to Dr. Nam. He also tried charging me like $700 for a retainer replacement when other dentists have provided them for free or half the price.

You just have to come visit, take Xray, check the problem, then give you the price". So I said: - But I don't wanna pay for Xray and just to see the doctor. I already know the problem. "well, if you can't come visit, then go somewhere else" "in Korea, we don't just give the price over the phone, blah blah, blah.." . There were more things going on but I can't write. 3 minutes later, we were about to start fight. Finally, I just gave up and said ok,ok, never mind, just forget, good bye.

If I could give zero stars I WOULD. First the reviews are all bought. If you miss an appointment they wave the cancelation or no show fee with doing a review. Which makes so MANY reviews not sincere of their experience. Lets start from the BEGINNING, I started my treatment on 2018. We started in a total different location and different staff (doctors, receptionists, and dental assistants) . At this time I was a minor so my parent was in charge of everything obviously. She told me that when they started they had explained the treatment and they had told her everything was included even retainers and the removing of braces. She said everything was explained fast and vivid like if they were in rush and made her sign the contract. She decided to trust in them as my cousin was as well getting treatment with them (by the way all this happened to her as well). The first year was okay but then I started noticing that there wasn't one set doctor handling my treatment (every doctor has a different approach and opinion towards treatment). I questioned it and all they said was that my original doctor was still overseeing my treatment. The two year mark came up and honestly yes there was a change in my teeth but there was still so much that should have gotten fixed, so we continue. After the two years that's when everything started going south. They started doing all kinds of things saying it would help towards correcting my bite and aligning more my teeth and honestly a lot of it wasn't working. I remember one day I came in to my appointment and when I went up to do my payment they wanted me to Pay double than my original monthly that was stated on the contract . When you sign a contract you have to respect what the agreement was made, that's common sense. I told them I wasn't going to pay that amount due to it being double the what I pay monthly. This was when I was already in my 3 year mark. So for my 3rd and 4th year I was paying a new monthly payments. Finally for my 5th year they tell me they wanted to start the process of removing my braces and said that I need to sign the Debonding (removal of braces ) contract and let me know how much it will be for the removal and retainers(which was like almost 2,000 more and take in mind I had already been paying even way more than my initial treatment plan ) so I told them NO and that I wasnt even happy with the results anyways. I explained to them that it was unfair what they were doing as its been so many times they have not respected my contract. I ask for printed copies of my contract and as well consents that was signed by my parent. I took it to another office for a 2nd opinion. They suggested me to take off my braces soon as possible as there was signs of bone lose and they read the contract and consents and said they was a lot of mistakes on there and some parts didn't even make sense. You can see on there in all the crazy wording that it stated debond and retaineers not included. I ask my mother and she said that they actually never let her read it. I go back to their office and tell them I will not get the debond with them but want them to continue doing monthly adjustments until Im happy with the work so I can go to another office and get them remove. They didn't want to continue as they kept insisting for me to get my Debonding with them.Like two months passes and then I start seeing a big gap forming in front of my teeth I panic and tell them and at this point I was done and tired with them I let them close the gap and I left. To top it all off you can never get In contact with them until you go to your appointment. I WILL NEVER RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. read more

I've been a patient here for maybe about 3 years. After going there about two weeks ago never again will I be returning. I've left a positive review in the past because they offer free stuff for doing so but here is the real review.. I got an adjustment on my teeth by a young girl I've never seen there and she first took off the bands. Through that as she was taking them off her tool slipped and stabbed me right in the crease of my mouth and it immediately starting bleeding. The dr checked me and told her what to do and she had no clue what that was so she asked for help. As they told her step by step what to do she started working on my teeth. She put on all the bands and forgot to do the wire.. so she takes everything off and starts over by that time I'm already frustrated. I also paid for a cleaning which never got done. After everything was done she put powerchain on 4 of my front teeth which the dr didn't request but I thought she knew what she was doing so I left it at that. If someone is working on your teeth don't you expect them to know what they are doing? Well this girl obviously didn't know a thing. I just got out of a second opinion at this other dentist because I noticed my two teeth rotating and coming down as if they were being pulled out of the socket mind you these are my front teeth I was freaking out so I asked the doctor what was the best thing to do and he said immediately take them off the brackets are positioned incorrectly and it's causing your teeth to be pulled out slowly. My teeth were very sensitive in general since I got the braces and I had no idea it would cause such damage to my teeth. From having my braces on so long and the brackets been positioned the incorrect way the roots of my teeth were starting to be exposed and cause tooth sensitivity and lots of spacing and discomfort in my teeth. I've been so worried ever since I got my braces removed by a different dentist because now I feel like some of my teeth are loose. This is my experience here and this is not even half of what I've gone through I went and was sitting next to a girl and she was telling me they pulled her tooth out by accident and they have to replace it with an implant which later on failed because it was not the right materials they used it wasn't CDC approved. Her gums were starting to get swollen around that so she went for a second opinion as well and they told her that the implant they used was from a foreign country and was causing her gums and bone to deteriorate. I asked her what she was still doing there and she said she was trying to get her money back because they still made her pay for the procedure after it was their mistake her tooth was removed. She said she only went back there to do that procedure because they gave her a discount. But that's not even half of the problems I've heard in that office there is a manager her name is Amanda she constantly changes her name to now she's known as Mandy and she is the most crooked rude person ever she does everything illegal in that office and it's time the word gets out for people to be careful on the services or anything they received in this office you might be doing more damage to your teeth then you would be fixing it. There is not one stable doctor there and are constantly changing treatment plans they even lost my records so basically I had to start all over again I'm just trying to make it aware for everyone to be careful and stop taking your family to this office it is so dangerous and unsanitary they don't even follow the COVID-19 protocols the office is always busy and no one wears their mask! BEWARE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!! read more

So I been a patient here for about 4 years now! Yes 4 years.. I've had a very bad experience here in this office.. this was the last thing that really had me fed up. I went to the office today coming to find out they changed management supposedly again which is not true. The owners name is Amanda Wolf DosSantos she does fraud through this office and lots of illegal stuff. She pays her patients to leave five star reviews that's the only reason she has good reviews but this place is unprofessional unorganized and full of crap! I had a good relationship with her past employees and going in today to find out they are all gone is so sad! the new receptionist Jessica is the most rude impatient and big mouth person there. THIS OFFICE IS CONSTANTLY RUNNED WITH NO DOCTOR AND YOU WILL END UP PAYING FOR NOTHING! Now they have several employees working that have no clue what they are doing. This place don't care about your health or teeth all they care about is your money not improving your teeth. They are a dirty office and they don't even wipe their equipment in between patients.. this will for sure spread the disease of COVID-19 they also use disabled doctors that have no mobility or drs that don't even know what they are doing.. BEWARE YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME MONEY AND ENERGY HERE STAY AWAY ITS ALL FRAUD! Their new employees are not even certified I asked one of the new young girls their where she went to school and she told me she didn't that they get trained on the job which they have no dental schooling or knowledge.. I've been attending the clinic for almost 3 years already. The estimate for my treatment was 2 years . My payments began on $75 they are now up to $150 dollars every month . I've been constantly going every month even after a few days of having my son. I had not mention anything because I thought it was just me , but today I saw a lady speaking up literally in tears about the LONG WAITS even if you had an appointment, EXCESSIVE increase of payments and the LONG TREATMENT estimate. She said she had been on her treatment for already 4 years and she had had enough of every excuse they had for her not to end her treatment. For my appointment today I was rushing after work to make it on time(12:30).Once I arrived I was told to go back at (2PM) because "everybody was going to lunch". Why was I provided 12:30 as a schedule time to show up then ? I am paying way too much in order to receive a service and I was denied. I could not schedule another time due yo work schedule and if I decided not to wait I would have to pay the $30 dollar fee for "not showing" . I had already pay my parking meter , which is not cheap around that area . We have to realize this is not the time for us to waste our money . There is a lot of people unemployed and cutting the money to continue with their treatment because there is no other choice . There is so much I would like to mention but this is it for now . I've been coming here for a while and I'm almost done with treatments. I had a mixup with my payments, I was told I would need to pay hundreds of dollars to be done and gave my braces taken off. I'm very responsible and always make sure my bills are paid so I looked back at receipts and let them know that I hadn't missed any payments at all. I was out in touch with Ms.Mariana and she turned the day around. She was quick and made sure she resolved my issue. She definitely turned my experience around for the better. I recommend getting braces here the cost is affordable the office is local and you can make monthly payments. I have a better smile and I'm very happy with the overall process. the constantly have dentists and assistants in and out of this place, during my time i probably worked with 15 different people. they go over your scheduled contract time period and try to keep charging you. refuse to take what you say into consideration and keep the process going because you pay as you go per month. ridiculous treatment, they told my friend he'd have braces for 2 years and it's been almost 4!! i had mine on for 2 years and when they refused to remove them when my teeth were aligned, i went somewhere else to remove them. I got my braces off today and I love the results and my new smile. I like the new suit there is more space and every patients has their own privacy I also like the new doctor she is very professional and good on what she does. I have been a patient for about four years and even tho they made a lot of changes with their system and staff I never got a problem with that or with my payments. Oh horrible greedy service, I wish I could give no stars.This dental was Aero dental group, it changed name and added more price, doctors too always changing. Horrible poor service, I had previously paid $ 60, but they added $10. And then their price getting high. They said the price will be grow up to $84. What a disgusting greedy... I was referred to this office by my general dentist since have a working relationship with this office that I was told is the best for orthodontic care. After a long journey today on 11-17-2021 I took off my braces. It was a very easy and simple process.
