How can I come to Atlanta and I don't make a stop here at La Différence Bakery & Café!!! The food will always be great and yummy here. Don't waist your time and money if you are looking to eat quality this is the place.

Griot with Djondjon. Better than some places I've had in Miami! So good and plentiful!

I got the Griot with Djondjon (black rice) Better than some places I've had in Miami! Surprised i got this in GA where Haitian establishments are rare compared to Miami Fort Lauderdale area. So good and plentiful! Wish i lived close to this place. I was only visiting. The service was good. Wait wasn't long.

Have you ever walked into a restaurant and felt right at home? Well. Walk into this restaurant and you'll get what I'm talking about. I have been on a search for good Haitian food that reminded me of food from up North and I found this hidden gem in Lawrenceville. You're greeted when your walked in and you go to the counter to order your food. I got what I was craving GRIOT!!!!!!! And let's not forget the black rice. And no. I'm not Haitian but I have eaten AUTHENTIC Haitian food from native Haitians and this reminded me of them. The griot was just as I remembered. Fried with a little fat and seasoned well. The black rice was fresh and just like I like it. The pickliz was delicious. Nice and acidic because of the vinegar. I wonder if they sell jars of pickliz because I would buy it! If your in Gwinnett and looking for Haitian food, stop by and support!

I've been SEARCHING for an authentic Haitian food spot and I couldn't be happier to have found this place. The food is made fresh to order, so patience is a must. (We ordered when we arrive and the wait for a bit over 30 minutes. Almost 45) Even with calling ahead you still would wait but more like 5-15 minutes, since it looks family owned and operated, it's a small spot with bold flavors. Not a long wait on a Sunday afternoon, even though it's a little packed out... but honestly this place feels home-y so the wait goes by rather quickly. It feels like visiting someone's grandma where you immediately feel welcomed, and "at-home."... and the smell outside the door will trigger your tastebuds to want to try everyone at once. Large portions makeup for the price, so don't fret. I ordered a dozen chicken patties, griot to split, plus Haitian bread rolls, and two drinks for a family of 3. I will definitely be back again-- and will definitely call ahead.

    Post workout meal. Yummy!

I was told about this spot by a young up and coming chef. I lucked out and was in the area. I arrived before they were ready for service so I wasn't able to try the cuisine but my hunger pangs determined I could start with a Haitian staple drink called Akasan (AK-100). This sweet, rich, creamy beverage really hit the spot and was a bonus as a post-workout meal replacement drink.

This Hatian Bakery Is A Family Owned. The customer service was decent. I enjoyed the Hatian Patty (Fish & Beef) ADDICTED TO THE FISH. Went For A Quick Bite.

This is a Haitian or creole restaurant and boy have I been missing this yummy food since I have left South FloridA! The food was amazing!! You can see the old-school people in the back cooking and making your food to order. I had fried turkey with rice and beans which you can get on the light lunch special for 899. However there was a bit of disconnect which was the loss of the star in language barrier from the young lady at the cashier. Additionally on top of the language barrier you could tell she got a little frustrated so if you order be sure to point to it on the menu also so there's no confusion. I said rice and beans the first time she gave me white rice then I said lunch and she gave me the dinner. And that point I just paid for it and kept it moving but it was worth it all at the end when I tasted the food because it was definitely off the chain!! I definitely recommend you make it part of your repertoire if you're in the area Because I'm sure I'll be going at least once a week! Love supporting small business owners and even more so yummy food for a great value!

The first time, I still had about a 10-15 minute wait even after the app said my food was ready. This second time, I was able to get my order right away when I walked in. The staff is always friendly regardless of wait time. The restaurant is really a grab and go location; there isn't sufficient space or set-up for dining in. Each time I've been, there has been consistent for traffic in and out, so it's pretty popular. On my first visit (while standing around waiting for my order to be ready), I learned from listening to other ppl order that there is a lunch special where the meals featuring chicken are cheaper. I believe it goes thru 1pm. In my first visit, I tried lots of things and was largely disappointed in the taste. I had the brown stewed chicken and oxtail meals (both ordered with heavy gravy), a turkey wing, a chicken soup, and coco bread. The oxtails were the only thing I truly enjoyed. The sides on the meals were just okay except the plantains. The plantains were hard and dry, truly inedible. The chicken soup wasn't flavorful enough; I wouldn't order it again. For me, the turkey wing seasoning was too spicy, but my husband enjoyed it. On this second visit, I went only to pick up two turkey wings for my husband, as he has continued to talk about trying the turkey wing again. He ate them both for dinner along with some homemade rice a d veggies. He wanted to order sides but I discouraged that based on the first experience. Pete's is located in a strip mall that seems to have some other Caribbean businesses, including a market next door. The parking lot has an approaching need for repavement and line repainting. *uploaded pics are from first visit*
