I literally have dreams about their food. Not kidding it is ADDICTIVE! My family lives in Cary and this is a new staple for all of us when we visit! The garlic herb spread was quite possibly one of the greatest things I've ever had. Stop what you're doing and go buy it! Also the white chocolate baguette is so good! I cannot say anything more that hasn't already been said. Lionel IS a master baker and I love everything about his bakery. Yes, the food is fantastic, but there are dozens of great bakers out there. He is doing more by building a baking community, by extending his guild master status to the US and making more great bakers here. It is a legacy that will continue long after he stops baking. This is a great little bakery/cafe for all kinds of French inspired food. The food is all intricately done and very delicious. There are also new combinations that were truly delightful. It reminds me a little of Foster's in Durham but with a French twist. The pastries, on the other hand, were not only beautiful but also sublime. Just looking at the showcase made me want to try EVERYTHING. Too bad that I'm trying to keep to my New Year's resolution and just possibly couldn't eat that much patisserie. In addition, the bread here is also very good, and it lasts a good while too. I highly recommend La Farm Bakery for brunch or even lunch on a regular working day! read more

Food and service are always very good. Locations are not that exciting, parking lot is ok but there's a lovely vacant restaurant in Cary with a bakery that would be great for La Farm. The Mimi's Bakery and Bistro on Walnut Street near Wells Fargo and has been vacant for a few years now and has beautiful dinning rooms, lovely lace cafe curtains and decorative lighting, and that French flair throughout the entire building. Just an idea to compliment the excellent food and beverages. We love La Farm! read more

We've been big fans of La Farm for years, but something has changed in the past couple of years. The prices have gone through the roof, and the food quality had really taken a dive. We had avocado toast, tomato scramble, and a latte. The bill was over $30. The eggs were overcooked and very salty. The coffee tasted very like Caribou. They don't seem to have a dedicated barista anymore. The last time we ate here, it was a similar experience. The food plating is done without much care, and the quality doesn't match the high prices. Best white chocolate baguette! It's so different than the usual ones and so so tasty. I also like their almond chocolate croissant, it's super flaky with almond paste and chocolate inside, which is not too sweet. I reached out to La Farm Bakery to make a reservation for breakfast after a Memorial Service for my brother. I was told that La Farm does not take reservations. I explained to a staff member my need. I was immediately connected to an Asst Manager, David. In a few minutes a plan was devised to seat us outdoors with seating at tables and adequate space to accommodate Social Distancing. When we arrived the staff gave us plenty of attention even though it was peak time on a Sunday morning. The food was delicious & served efficiently. David greeted us during breakfast and made sure we were satisfied with the food and service. At no time were we rushed. Thank you David and the La Farm staff for your kindness & generous spirit. I have eaten there 2 times recently. First I had the chicken salad on croissant. It was flavorful , but only a VERY small dollop of chicken salad on the croissant and no lettuce or anything else. Then , today, I had at the Chatham location. the spinach feta quiche. Very bland , teeny tiny bit of spinach and no feta. Tasteless. They said they have had complaints about no taste , no spinach etc. but they do nothing about it. I realize they are a bakery 1st , but if you are going to serve food, do it right. read more

The croissant I had with my sandwich was the best croissant that I've ever had. I ordered the southwest Turkey sandwich and subbed the bread with a croissant and it was delicious. La Farm Bakery is a lovely brunch spot. I came here around noon with friends and waited in a line to order our food. We were handed a sign with a number after ordering and sat down. The employees were able to find us without a problem, even though we chose outdoor seating. I ordered the eggs benedict ($10.95) and was disappointed that it came with whole grain bread. My friends all got regular bread, but for some reason mine was the only one with whole grain. Aside from that, it was a decent meal. It's interesting that all our orders came with potatoes (very yummy), scone, oranges, and honeydew! Also, since we took outdoor seating we were swatting away flies for most of the meal. It was a very nice day today. It was painfully appearant that the restaurant was not prepared to handle the volume of orders. As a result, I experienced a long wait time to pick up my "to go" order, while waiting inside, for which I was very uncomfortable due to the current conditions. 20 minutes for two sandwiches to go was below this establishment's standards. To make matters worse, when the 2 sandwiches with chips were finally consumed, they lacked flavor (e.g. mayo), sufficient meat (e.g. Turkey) and were not made with the advertised Chibatta, rather a bland sesame bread. Adding to the lack of satisfaction was the very few home chips, many of which were overdone. The price point for the average lunch does not meet with the quality and quantity of what we received. read more

Everything I had was delicious and very reasonably priced for the amount of food. It reminded me of being back in a cafe in France (With a slightly Americanized twist.). Upon entering there is a small place to the right to order coffee, bakery items, and call ahead orders. If placing a cafe item continue past that to place the order at the second counter. They'll give you a number to place on the table and will bring the food out to you. I was here on a Sunday morning when it was quite busy. The line to order moved quickly and the food came out equally as quickly. So don't let a long line deter you. I ordered the asparagus goat cheese scramble. This came with breakfast potatoes, orange and cantaloupe slices, a cinnamon scone, and a slice of sourdough bread. The scramble was more of an omelette than a scramble with most of the goat cheese in the middle. I somewhat ended up scrambling on my own. My boyfriend ordered Le grande BLT with fried egg and no onions. It was massive and also came with everything mentioned above but the sourdough bread. Finding a seat looked like it could be precarious, but I waited about 2 minutes and several people got up and left. I sat outside as it was warm out and inside the bakery was also quite warm. They have a covered patio, so if it's warm and raining there are still places to sit. As a note, there is also outside seating to the side of the building if you can't find any out front. You walk into a bakery where it's a pastry-lover's dream, and you order your food at the counter. I'd describe the decor as very Rustic French, very charming. I know they opened up the expanded the space, but there is still a lack of seating! Which would be fine if it was just a pastry/coffee shop, but they serve actual delicious food here too. Every time I've been here it has been packed. Weekday or weekend, lunch or brunch. Soo awkward standing around with your number, staring at tables waiting for someone to leave, all while hoping your food doesn't come out before you've found a place to sit down. La Farm is one of my favorite places for lunch, so I was so excited to see there is not a location inside terminal 2 at RDU. They have both express/ to-go and table service. Since I had arrived super early, I grabbed a table. Corinne was super kind and quickly brought everything to my table as it was available in east to take-along containers and plastic cutlery. During my wait for boarding I enjoyed a peach tea, white chocolate baguette (if you've never had one, stop reading and go order one right now) and the best grilled cheese I've ever had (sorry mom). Portions aren't huge and prices are well... airport prices, but this spot is definitely worth it for the quality. They have a full bar and interesting coffee options, so can't wait to check those out before my next flight. read more

This is my go to brunch place for any weekend, whether it being a normal one or when my friends from out of state visit me. During brunch times, they are generally very crowded, but they always have amazing free samplers you can have while waiting in line (and the line moves pretty fast). For brunch, I generally get Eggs Florentine. It is really good and I never get tired of it. I also like their Smoked Salmon Benedict. I've also had their quiches before and they were good too. For bread, I've had their Italian bread and it was pretty good. I also love love love their honey butter! It is dangerously good. The most recent time I went to La Farm I got their Moravian Spice Latte, pretty decent. I generally get normal latte. However, the one disappointing thing about La Farm is that I always get bad latte art. Some of my friends get good ones though haha read more

First of all, I just want to say that this place makes some killer bread and dip, oh my goodness! My friend and I came in here one evening to get a cup of coffee and ended up stuffing our faces with bread samples and dip. The La Farm Bakery definitely reminds me of a local, upscale Panera Bread. The staff is extremely friendly and helped me find the perfect drink. I was watching other people on the cafe side order soup and sandwiches, which all looked incredible. The items I love at LaFarm are unique and I have not seen anywhere else; most notably: the white chocolate baguette! They also have some fun seasonal items like their holiday breads (bonus- they freeze well!) and peach & white chocolate scones. We especially like picking up items at the Holly Springs farmer's market. The restaurant itself has a provencal french theme (queue Belle from Beauty in the Beast) and has a homey vibe. They also have outdoor seating with shade. My mom and I came here for brunch and there was a bit of a line for about 5-7 minutes. If you live in the Triangle, I would say it's a place to meet up with friends, have a business coffee, and get seasonal treats. read more

I wrote a review about this restaurant five years ago. I was so turned off by the dust and dirt in the restaurant I did not want to ever go back and I didn't even though management offered me a free item. I hadn't been back until this past week (FIVE YEARS later). A friend wanted to go there so I thought, why not surely they have learned their lesson that the face of a restaurant should show cleanliness. I will say it was no where as bad as my last visit but there were still cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling and dust on the wood hanging down from the ceiling near the cash registers. That was disappointing. I just don't get why so many people like this place. I had the chicken salad on a brioche bun with chips. The Samoan Chicken salad is 10 times better at Whole Foods which is essentially what I had at La Farm. I had more bun than chicken and a few chips. If I'm paying $10 for a sandwich I want to feel like I got my moneys worth. My friends portions were small as well. I don't want to begrudge this restaurant. I really want to like it but I can safely say I will not be back. read more

We stopped as just driving around different areas of NC as visiting from CA... found this gem and had to stop. Bought 2 cookies plus a quarter loaf of their La Farm bread (a light sourdough)... hubby and split the 2 cookies so we could both try them... they were Huge and we could have easily split them 3 ways and had plenty. They were both amazing! The La Farm Bread downtown Cary was absolutely 5 plus stars!! If you like wonderful tasty fresh bread and sweets this is the place to go. read more
