Great food and service. Only down side is in nice weather they have no real outdoor seating to speak off.

We were excited when this popped up on Yelp. We generally like to endorse local small businesses/restaurants over the larger chains like OTB, Cristina's, etc. The restaurant itself was clean and the wait-staff attentive but that's all. We had the fajita nachos and enchiladas special. Both plates were not authentic in flavor as if it was a frozen food pre-package. Chips had a mild burnt taste, salsa was salty and milder in flavor, It was very disappointing, so we will not go back. read more

We love coming to La Flor for fajitas but we were very disappointed that they started limiting the number of tortillas that come with your meal. They only give you 2 tortillas per fajita order and if you want more you are charged for them. read more

We went to La Flor because Christina's (just a few blocks away) was busy. I wish we would have waited for Christina's. The food at La Flor is not even worth paying for. It's all from frozen - the vegetables, the fries, the corn tortillas even--nothing was fresh. I ordered vegetarian fajitas, and they put steamed frozen vegetables (not fajita style) on top of watery onions. My companion had salmon, which was excellent, but her vegetables were cold and fries tasted like they were straight from a frozen bag. Her "bread" was really a piece of white toast. My pico-de-gallo was almost beige - I don't know how you find beige tomatoes and peppers, but they did. To top it off, we were in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen and were able to see the interactions between the manager and staff. They were obviously not respectful toward each other and kept trying to pass the blame for why our order was made incorrectly. The margarita was yummy though. They also had a guitarist, which was nice. When we told the waiter our food was pretty crappy, he agreed! He said, "Yeah, I know. It used to be better, but now it's really gone down. Sorry." That's it. Then, the manager gave us our check and asked how the food was. We told him we were pretty disappointed with it and let him know it was because none of it was fresh (and yet the prices were comparable to Christina's, which is always fresh and delicious). He did comp one of our meals, but we were still left wondering what food on our table was worth the $20 left on our tab. We will never go there again, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. You get better food from Taco Bueno. And you'd get excellent food if you go two blocks down to Christina's. It's worth whatever you have to wait, believe me. read more

My family of 3 visited La Flor for the first time on a Friday Night. Worried eating in Murphy on a Friday evening meant having to wait 30 minutes for a table, we were happily surprised to be seated immediately. The place was full, with just a few empty tables remaining. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, although she never introduced herself so I did not catch her name. I ordered a frozen margarita (HH price - $5 for a good size) & my husband had a Negra Madelo. Our only complaint of the night was that the only beers they had on-tap were Dos Equis & Dos Equis Light. You know you need good salsa at a Mexican restaurant, or you won't return. Their salsa was totally fresh - you can tell they made it right there in their kitchen. They also serve chips with a very good black-bean dip. Good flavors! For dinner, I ordered Guiso Pork and my husband ordered the Steak Ranchero. My kid ordered off the children's menu (Grilled Cheese - I know, rolling my eyes). Honestly, the grilled cheese was on TX Toast and looked pretty good. Anyway, our authentic food was great. His steak ranchero had a good mix of perfectly cooked steak, yummy tomatoes and a hint of onions. My guiso was spot-on with just the right amount of spice. I noticed that a lot of the reviewers tried Tex-Mex combo plates. I get that, sometimes you need to go with what you know, but this is a Mexican Grill. Order the good, authentic stuff! Good Tex-Mex. Never had bad service. Not as good of food and a little pricier than their original spot in downtown Wylie, but this location is nicer. My go-to spot when I want to go out for a quick dinner and stay close to home. read more

Have to say I was a bit hesitant to try this place because there were few cars outside but what the heck. Greeted with a smile and sit where my heart desires. You know when the chips are crispy and fresh and the salsa i tasty the meal is going to be good. The cheese Enchilada was good the beans were ok the chalupa wish the tortilla was as crispy as the chips not sure why it wasn't. Best salsa ever. Taste a bit different every time because it's fresh. You can taste each ingredient from the cilantro to the jalapeño. Amazing fajitas and the shrimp is absoltutely perfect. Beyond good service. We come here at least once a week. read more

Their chicken and beef fajita meat is excellent. I'm a huge fan of their Tacos al Carbon (one chicken, one beef). Their borracho beans are also really flavorful too. Service has always been prompt and friendly. It's a very good place to have Tex-Mex; it's fast but not fast food. read more

Best Queso and chips, hands down! I love the lunch special that includes the beef and chicken fajita burritos. I always ask for both beef because the carne is the best Ive had in Texas! I moved here from CA 2 years ago and have yet found a place with amazing Mexican food! This is the best Ive found so far. their queso and carne enchiladas are great as well. I haven't tried much of anything else on their menu because i like those two dishes so much! I hear they have a killer burger although for me ordering a burger at a Mexican restaurant just doesn't seem right! LOL read more

We were in Murphy on business and thought we would have a late lunch. We searched Yelp and saw this place was a couple of blocks away. When we arrived, the place was very clean and had a nice decor. We were greeted promptly and seated. They brought us chips and salsa and took our order. They were still sing lunch specials. We both HD the crispy beef taco, chicken enchilada, rice and beans. It was very good. The waitress suggested sopapillas. We ordered them and they were fantastic. Great food, Great service. We suggest you give it a try. read more

We stopped in here because we happened to be in the area. I wasn't expecting much since I'd never heard of it, but was pleasantly surprised. It's bigger inside than it it appears from the outside, nicely decorated and very clean. Chips and salsa were fresh and had great flavor although I found the salsa to be a little on the salty side, but not too much. They had their chicken fajitas for two on special for $19.99 so that's what we had. The portion size was very generous and they tasted great. Excellent beef fajitas! The salsa is fresh and is better than many other Mexican restaurants. The queso is also very good. We really like the fajitas, so I have not tried anything else yet. We have eaten here many times and enjoyed the food, however we have ordered take out on several times and been disappointed...We ordered fajitas for two and got home with no salsa, or set up for the fajitas! This is the 2nd time this has happened, needless to say we will not be ordering again. I believe the staff isn't checking the order before it leaves. Needless to say this was on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't busy. I called and they said they would take care of next time we come in, but didn't offer anything else.
