They did a great job even though they were very crowded and turned out to have a good time of our party of six and the wife and I had split fajitas and they were delicious and so we had a good time with our friends in our party at six! Service was OK today. It was so crowded that yet threw us off a little bit but they still came through and did a great job and so we enjoyed ourselves. The ambience is typical for Mexican restaurant and but is very clean very nice good waiters waitresses cleaning staff it really do a great job and we're so thankful! I did take pictures of the menus and then the front area so enjoy. I would urge you if you like Mexican food to go give them a try. I say do a great job. Just had dinner at Frankie's tonight. The remodel is great. Love the enclosed patio area and expanded bar. Margaritas are on point. Food was delicious. Server Fernando R was great. Checked often but wasn't intrusive since we were there 3 hours catching up! However when the hockey game came on it turned into a sports bar and the volume was WAY too loud - especially the commercials. Asked twice for the volume to be turned down as we were trying to visit. Nothing happened. That was very disappointing. People at the bar weren't even really paying attention to the game. Are you a restaurant or a sports bar? Even for a sports bar it was crazy. At least listen to your patrons and turn it down a little. Will seriously rethink going back or will leave vs spending $$$ once the games start. Do better Frankie. One thing about my family, we're gonna find us some Tex Mex. My oh my is this place surprisingly delicious! Frozen house margaritas with tajín on the rim were exactly what I was looking for. The absolute best? No. Good for $3.75 during Happy Hour? You bet. We ordered the beef and chicken fajita combo and a chicken and steak quesadilla. The fajitas were great, meats were tender but just needed a bit more flavor. Wasn't too crazy about the quesadillas but the tortillas are GOOD. They're not made in house but sheesh were they fluffy and fresh. Really appreciated that. My toddler could not stop devouring the refried beans. We had to order extra lol. First time I went to Frankie's was in the mid 2000's. Between it an Casa Mama in Plano they were my default Mexican restaurants. Sadly I moved out of the area for more than 10 years. But today I had the chance to go back and it wasn't a disappointment. They were as busy as I remembered but got seated quickly. The 2oz serving of salsa with chips was a little surprising but the waitress kept me supplied. The place definitely has its regulars at the bar which is a testament to the place in the community.
