We took some time off from our Rose resort to walk out to Downtown Cabo...and randomly ended up at this restaurant by the marina. Well, it turned out to be great choice! We sat outside on their patio, with great views of the marina. I really enjoyed their perfectly festive (but not overly!), Mexican overhead music. I tried their Lobster Chileno and my husband got Chicken Enchilada...and we shared. We also shared this Fried Shrimp appetizer...think it was called Bang Bang Shrimp? Highlight of the day in Cabo! Mario was our server and he was excellent. This place has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is great for people watching and you have a nice view of the docked boats. This place is a classy place for a date, romantic dinner or a celebration. Out of all the restaurants I've been to in Cabo (and that's a LOT of restaurants, including the ones at fancy resorts), La Galería blows everyone out of the water in customer service. First of all, I went there for dinner, with my 3 year old toddler boy, who can't sit still, after our boat tour, and the staff was so sweet and patient with him. Mario made a cute little napkin bib for my son, Paco accommodated things on the menu for us into half portions (like the tortilla soup), especially for my son, for half the price, and the manager got a local band to stop at out table and play sing "Baby Shark" to my son directly, all the staff members helped entertain my son when he kept roaming around, and they even gave us little scoops of ice cream, on the house, to help occupy my son, so I can finish my meal. One of the servers also brought out a warm bowl of water, with blue salt, mint and lime, so we could clean our hands to get rid of the fish smell, from the snapper we had. Which was so thoughtful and considerate. As for the food, I ordered a half portion of tortilla soup for my son. He loved it! He ate almost all of it. It wasn't spicy. I finished the rest. It was so flavorful. I also loved the grilled avocado in it. And I ordered the small whole fried snapper, which was the perfect portion for us, and it came with rice, refied beans, tortilla, salsa and pica de gallo, and it was so good. You can tell it was fresh, we also ordered a virgin pina colada, which was delicious. Their prices here are also very reasonable and not super marked up like some other restaurants nearby, We had such a wonderful experience! It was perfect for our last night in Cabo! Like so many restaurants in crowded resort cities, the host stands outside holding menus while trying to entice passers-by to enter. I find this a bit of a turn off, so we walked past, but then decided to go back and try this casual waterfront dining spot. We were so glad we did. It was pleasant and fun to sit right along the boardwalk watching the comings and goings of the marina and people strolling along the walkway. The food is very good -- I had the ceviche and it was outstanding.
