Dinner for 2. - Ambiance (2*) Diner like environment. It's a bit odd because when you walk in, there's no host stand- just a register and menus overhead. It implies you order up front, then grab a table. But this isn't the case at all. Eventually, someone motioned for us to pick a table. - Service (1*) The server was friendly but excruciatingly slow. Took forever to order, forever to receive water, forever to receive food. Water never refilled. The worst part was the bill. 2 person table had gratuity automatically added (20%). After he ran my card, the receipt came back, not with a line that said "additional tip" but just "tip" with suggestions for amounts. By this time, there was no breakout of original price plus auto gratuity. So, had I not looked at the receipt before sending my card in, I might have been duped into double tipping. Pretty shady in my opinion. - Costa Snapper, $30 (3*) Butterflied pretty nicely, though some bones still remained. Meat was quite tender and tasty. It was a bit oily though, and I wish it were more balanced in flavor (pretty sour from a heavy dose of lemon I assume). The sweet plantains were cooked nicely. - Value (3*) Reasonably priced, though for $30, I would have expected a slightly larger fish. - Final Word Food next to convention centers are never that excellent because they get plenty of business from being just serviceable. La Granja is right in line with expectations. Had service not been so terrible, I could have lived with a 3* rating. Alas...

Visited September 5th, 2025 for second time. Besides the great and speedy service from Thomas. He has the greatest smile. The restaurant was very busy with many customers all the time. The food itself is just above and beyond. I personally like their 1/2 grilled pork with beans and seasoned rice. The bomb is when you add green garlic sauce on top of the pork chop it bring the pork chop to different level of taste! Don't get me wrong whether with sauce or not the pork-chop tasted good! I saw another customer next to me ordered 1/2 pounds steak with rice and fries which looks so delicious. Makes me want to order it next time. They put on happiness music to create relax ambiance which is very thoughtful. I felt like in the heaven whenever I dining here.

Decided to stop by here since it was walking distance from our hotel. At first it looked like a self-serve restaurant since there's no hostess at the door or anything. Walked up to the counter to look at the menu on the wall and that was when a server came to ask if we are dining or takeout. Then we got seated. They have a very large menu but over its combination of chicken, steak, seafood, salad and sides. The price is actually not bad for downtown Miami. BEWARE! They will automatically serve you a water bottle instead of tap/distilled water if you don't specify. A water bottoms that would cost like 50 cents at Whole Foods a block down is now $2.75. Definitely not worth. We looked around and saw some tables with water bottles and some tables with just regular tap. I'm guessing the regulars know to ask. I should have mentioned right away but I thought because we were dining in it would be included? Anyways, didn't end up drinking it so we asked if we can return it. The server asked if we would rather get a cookie in exchange instead of her voiding the transaction (odd, since it should be easy?) Anyways, we opted for the cookies and whatever it was, it was pretty good. Definitely worth it more than the cheap water bottle. Lol -Sauted Beef- a little salty but good portion size. Not bad for the price. For a place that serve French fries, I was surprised they didn't have ketchup on the table but oh well. -Grilled steak- hubby for the grilled steak combo, that came with black bean, plantain, and a can of soda. Also good portion for the price? BEWARE- they do charge automatic gratuity of 18%. Maybe the reason why they prefer to sub cookies for the water bottle? It was busy and maybe 2-3 servers and with automatic gratuity we know service is not expected. It's ok because it was fast at least. If we were to go back to Miami, we would prob stop by.

La Granja is a great option for a fast casual restaurant. Their specialty is Peruvian style chicken and while they have a full menu, I pretty much prefer the chicken and have only tried a few other items a few times and it has been years since I have had anything but their chicken. The staff here is friendly and professional. The ambiance is pretty cool and relaxing. La Granja is a great fast casual restaurant (pretty much a fancy term for fast food) and have multiple locations. I am pretty impressed with La Granja and this location was a great representation of the La Granja restaurant brand. I would definitely recommend this La Granja location or any La Granja location for that matter. I have been a fan of this restaurant chain for probably at least fifteen years and always enjoy my visits here.

La Granja sits somewhere between fast food and a casual sit-down restaurant--a step above Pollo Tropical but not quite a full-service experience. Generally, the food here is good, and the portions are generous. Today, I tried the bowl, which was impressively large and offered great value for the price. It came with veggies, onions, and chicken that appeared to be marinated in a soy-based sauce. However, despite its promising look, the flavor was somewhat bland and lacked a distinct taste. Overall, La Granja is a convenient stop if you're in the area and craving chicken, soup, or a quick ceviche. While it's not a place I'd go out of my way for, it's a solid choice for a filling meal when nearby.

We chose this Peruvian place because it was right around the corner from our hotel in Miami. Two on our group shared 1Lb of skirt steak, another had seafood gumbo, a burger with fries, chicken fried rice and two of us got the grilled chicken breast with rice and beans. A couple of us got the guacamole for a side. The service was a bit confusing as very very spoke English causing a bit of back up at the counter, but they do an excellent job of keeping tables cleaned off and trays picked up. Everyone at the table really enjoyed the food. This side of my family are from Arkansas, with this being the second time they have had a vacation or eaten food other than American. For me the guacamole was blended up and not very inviting and was quite salty . I could not finish it. The grilled chicken was okay nothing special. Cooked perfectly, but seasoned no different than we would at home. The burger was half eaten and removed from the bun and condiments by the 10 year old. The French fires left untouched. The skirt steak was loved by both the adult and the other 10 year old. I took a small bite and it was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I gave four stars for the Arkansas family review!

Casual Peruvian restaurant with an extensive menu. We ordered a seafood gumbo, a chicken platter that came with 2 side orders, and a sangria. The seafood gumbo was alright in terms of flavor but it had weird pieces of chewy cheese or something that wasn't pleasant with the gumbo. The chicken was pretty good and tender, not dry or anything. And the sangria was pretty nice since it didn't taste too alcoholic. Overall the food is just alright, nothing high quality. It's a place to grab a casual bite. The con is that the service is reallyyy slow and kind of confusing. No staff came to tell us whether we should be seating ourselves or ordering from our table until we ask. Also the staff takes a long while to come take our order and bring our food out. Everything was just extremely slow...

My husband and I had dinner at this Peruvian restaurant once while visiting Miami. We each ordered half a Peruvian chicken. We also had rice, black beans and fried banana. Our broiled chicken was very tender and nicely flavored. For dessert we ordered cheesecake and tres leches. Both desserts were prepackaged and ordinary. The restaurant offers table service or takeout. This restaurant has a fast food ambiance. read more

Be careful when you order take out. Please review your orders! Every time I go, they always "forget" something. You order what's on the picture, if something is omitted, restaurants should tell you and not assume. When I ask for the item, they say oh it's only for the picture, it doesn't come with it. I don't understand, if the picture shows rice, you give me rice? If it shows red onions, I expect red onions, not for the staff to argumentative. Prices are also different on the menu than when you pay. Also, I've heard customers get upset when the restaurant charges additional for a beverage in a combo meal when it's already included. Overall, double check everything and try not to be scammed. read more

First time in Miami, my wife and I visited La Granja downtown Miami for dinner and loved the Peruvian food. Highly recommend this place because the food, especially the fried plantains along with the rotisserie chicken and garlic fried fish were so delicious. Great spot for lunch or a quick dinner! I ordered the beef stir fry and it was great! It came with the rice and fries. The flavor was great especially after adding the cilantro sauce to it. Good food. But they didn't honor the Yelp promo. So it's ironic that I'm writing on Yelp about how the business advertised a free dessert on Yelp and was too cheap to honor it. They said "oh we don't do that anymore." But it's on the page right now! If u don't do it anymore, then take it off the page. Don't do false advertising. Or replace it with something cheaper like a drink. Do something. A legit business would have honored the ad and there would be 2 more stars on the review and I also would have went back. But because they didn't, I went somewhere else the next day even though they were convenient to my hotel. read more

Thankfully this place is right under my office. I've been to about 4 other la granjas up the coast but for some reason this is BY FAR the best one!!!! They're ceviche is also a favorite of mine. Whoever owns this place is basically throwing their money in the garbage hiring those employees! How somebody calls at 8:50 for a take out order and you say we are closing already ... you still have an entire hour left ? And then he just hangs up the phone ! What type of customer service is this ???? Lazy ass employees i bet they want a raise to 15 hr to still give horrible service ! Very poor service. All of the woman get upset because you don't talk Spanish. As if this is not an English speaking first. The garlic potato's waste of money they should not even be open. Never again will eat there. Seems there only busy because it's not a lot of selections around. read more

Reasonably priced and delicious! We came here for dinner and decided to dine in we received service from Julio who was great! We all ordered snapper! Which to me OMG you don't need nothing else. They have 4 different kinds. The Manchu snapper amazing we also added sautéed noodles and added shrimp also we tried the seafood fried rice amaZing taste. Miami can be expensive with dining! Has a lot variation give them a try will be back. read more

The food here is very forgettable, and to be specific the lomo saltado, it's probably the worse that I've had in Miami. I have reached this verdict over the course of a few visits, to the point that I will Not trick myself into coming in here even if my colleagues are also going. Years ago this was not the case, I do not understand why the quality of the place has gone down. read more

Delicious! This was the 1st place I ate at when I got into Miami. It was recommended by the hotel concierge desk and I'm so thankful he recommended it. We had ordered the seafood sample platter and the seafood rice. You get a lot for your money! The plate was full of food and I was able to pack up another meals worth of food and had a late night snack. The table we sat at was very wobbly, with repairs of tape and carbored on the feet of the legs. There was dripping from the air ducts, which most likely had been from the heat outside and coolness inside. I really liked this concept of a "fast-casual" Peruvian restaurant. Came on a busy lunch and waited in line, but the ordering was easy with lots of choices. Then I got the lomo saltado and they were receptive to a substitute for the rice with a salad. It came out relatively quick with a big portion that was quite tasty. I found myself eating more than I had expected. It looked like some people could skip the line and just order from a semi-waitress who assisted in the dining room. So be aware. Of course, a few days later, I tried some Peruvian food a block away at Ceviche Town that was better but that was sit down, vs this, which was quicker. Overall, a solid lunch choice in the area. read more

Probably one of the nicest la granja I've ever been too. Located in downtown Miami. Beware of the parking situation, there's none at all. Only street parking available. if your going to order for pickup make sure to order 20 min ahead of time before picking up food. A couple of nice ladies there to assist you upon arrival. Although I still had to wait to get my order once I arrived after I waited the 20 min they told me to do so before going in. Nonetheless, best ceviche in town. I only eat fish ceviche for I'm allergic to shrimp but I'll tell you the fish is awesome. If you ever want to eat a very nice ceviche but don't to want to spend $17 plus totally go to any la granja and get the best at great affordable price. :):) read more

I wasnt sure about this place but my friend insisted that we go because he loves it. It definitely exceeded my expectations. The ceviche de pescado was amazing in a yellow cilantro lime sauce and our dish of choice was the chicken salteado with tostones and a salad. It was a healthy delicious meal and low carb too! This is a very long overdue but La Granja is so good that it's definitely deserves those 5 stars. The thing about La Granja it's their simple food, you won't find anything fancy and if that's what you're looking so go somewhere else. They have small but perfect menu. I love their chicken, black beans and the fried plantain it's heaven! The dish itself is really big and will make you full. I wish I had La Granja here in California read more

Service is really slow. The food is good and basic - portions are large. Staff is unfriendly and service takes forever. We waited over 10 min for water and had to get up to ask for ketchup and pay the bill. Wouldn't recommend if you're in a rush. Actually wouldn't really recommend at all. read more

Definitely an okay spot for Peruvian food. Decent price for an adequate serving size. To me, this place gives off a Panda Express-y vibe; like fast Peruvian food, but it's actually a sit down restaurant. Who knows...maybe it's the chicken on their logo? So after coming here the first time, and realizing we had to wait for them to make our food (at least it's made to order!) we took a seat. We ordered the chicken and lomo saltado. The chicken was a little on the dry side and the lomo was a bit more soy saucy than I'm used to (I make lomo saltado at home). The service was good and the place was clean. I'd probably come back if I was craving it...so maybe 3 times out of the year. read more

It's a nice place to go if you're down for something local and kind of fast. The building is right next to a gas station and the exterior was a bit off-putting. Once you're inside it's actually quite nice. I got the chicken and shrimp sautéed platter and my boyfriend got the beef sautéed platter. Both platters came with fries and rice. The food was great; flavorful and a hearty portion. The service was efficient. For two platters and a fountain soda, the total was around $32. Pretty cheap. read more

Been here a few times. The food is always good (I usually get the same thing, though). The only thing I would say about this place is that the service can be a little iffy. A few times when my order has been taken the person taking it feels inconvenienced (could be a Miami thing?). A projection of disinterest if you will. I'm not asking to be all smiles, but you are working in the service industry. With that, the lack of interest doesn't go over well when the order is messed up (2-3 times in my experience). Overall, food is prepared fresh and inexpensive. Worth taking a looksie. Enjoy! read more

1199 NW LE JEUNE ROAD MIAMI The Food was okay but the service was awful. The lady behind the counter was not helpful at all when we were trying to order food. We wanted two different entree, one with chicken and one with beef (steak). We ended up with fried shrimp, fish and calamarI. My husband has a shellfish allergy so he was not able to eat any of that. The women gave us our food and seemed to laugh when we were walking to our table. We are here for a few hours and did not rent a car so walking to this place was one of our choices. This is a cute neighborhood Peruvian find, my family and I loved it! We ordered the chicken soup, cilantro soup with chicken, garlic fish with shrimp, spicy fish with shrimp and combo #4. The fish and combo item come with sides so its plenty of food, come hungry!! Also, the sauce on the garlic fish is SO GOOD, puts this dish on another level! $10 or less for lunch? You'll be happy as a pig in shit that you came here instead of Subway or BK. The lunch crew, usually 5-7 deep, is always looking for new spots downtown for lunch. Our hour restriction is always a big part of our decisions, which normally land on Subway, KFC or Tropical Smoothie. We were beyond excited when we saw La Granja finally opened a few months back. We're in there at least once a week and while it's packed, and you WILL have to wait around for a table, it's totally worth. The line moves very quickly and your order is ready in less then 5 minutes. I always get a #2 with fruit punch. That's a quarter chicken w/white rice and black beans. You can change out your sides at no additional cost if you're not feeling the beans and rice. All for a total of $6.45 or something like that. The point is, you walk in with $7, you will walk out change. The white sauce is my favorite but I recommend mixing all three; white, green and red (the spicy one) over your rice and beans. It's magical. Helpful tip: the fruit punch and lemonade are FREE REFILLS. read more

Do yourself a favor do not come to this establishment if you're Black. The entire waitress/hostess staff are racist Latinas who pride themselves on making dark-skinned people wait ridiculous amounts of time to be served. It was so obvious what is going on because they swiftly and eagerly attend to EVERYONE else, and even have the audacity to be whispering and gossiping about you behind the counter while making eye contact. And when they do bring your food out, they will make sure it is cold. It's despicable behavior and in 2020 they should be shut down for this time of discriminatory practice. They don't deserve a dime of your money for this basic chicken and white rice that you can make at home. read more

Despite the terrible service, we still decided to leave a $20 tip because we understand servers work hard. However, after leaving, I noticed my card was charged $67, which was shocking and very frustrating. This is not how customers should be treated. Slow service, poor communication, disappointing portions, and unclear charges made the entire experience feel like a waste of money. I understand it came out to about $55ish per person, but what you actually receive is very minimal: two chicken sliders, a shared charcuterie board with strangers, shared slices of picanha with strangers, and a shared bowl of pão de queijo and two drinks (I don't drink). It felt like because we were seated at the bar and not in the main dining area, we didn't really get the full experience. On multiple occasions staff mentioned they were "so busy," which I understand, but we were consistently told this while waiting for items that never fully came or were delayed. That's not something guests should have to absorb when the issue is seating and organization.

First off the chicken was cooked too hard and absolutely no flavor, the white rice was just that sigh, and they sent the garden salad with no salad dressing. I have thrown the flyer in the garbage, they are only interested in selling food absolutely no care with the presentation, flavor and thinking about customers. I can absolutely say I will never order from here again.
